本実施形態は、図2に示すように、複数個の発光ユニット1を、直流電源Eに対して並列に接続したものである。

Claims (2)
- 少なくとも2個の電極を有し電極間に通電されることにより発光する固体発光素子と、それぞれ固体発光素子の電極に電気的に接続され直流電源に電気的に接続される少なくとも2個の端子と、固体発光素子並びに各端子を保持する基板と、を有する発光ユニットを複数個備え、これらの発光ユニットはそれぞれ交換可能に直流電源に対し互いに並列に接続されており、交換可能な発光ユニット毎に設けられて、固体発光素子への給電路に挿入され過電流により固体発光素子への給電を遮断する遮断手段を備え、遮断手段として、固体発光素子に直列に接続されたスイッチング素子を含み固体発光素子に短絡が発生して過電流が流れたときに該スイッチング素子がオフされるように構成された保護回路を備えることを特徴とする照明装置。
- 遮断手段は、発光ユニットにおいて固体発光素子の少なくとも一方の電極と端子との間に挿入されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の照明装置。
