Claims (3)
- 車両に搭載された複数気筒のエンジンから排気ガスを排出する排気装置であって、
前記エンジンの複数の気筒に接続されて排気通路の一部を形成する複数の排気管と、前記複数の排気管を集合した集合排気管と、前記集合排気管に内蔵された触媒コンバータとを備え、
互いに隣接する前記複数の排気通路の間を仕切る仕切り板に連通孔が形成され、
前記連通孔に近接して前記排気ガスの成分を検出する排気ガスセンサが配置され、
前記排気ガスセンサが前記触媒コンバータの上流側近傍に位置し、その先端部が前記連通孔に向かって傾斜して配置されている車両の排気装置。 - 請求項1において、前記エンジンは4気筒であって、さらに、各気筒に接続された4つの前記排気管に対応する4つの通路が前記集合排気管に接続され、
前記集合排気管内では、前記仕切り板および前記触媒コンバータにより、排気通路が2つに区画されている車両の排気装置。 - 請求項1または2において、前記集合排気管は横断面円形であり、その内径をDとすると、前記連通孔の直径dが、0.10D〜0.25Dである車両の排気装置。
