Description
本出願は2001年12月10日に出願された(本文と一致しない程度に全体的に参照することによりここに組み入れられる)米国特許出願第60/339653の優先権を請求するものである。
図2、図3および図4に示すように、予め連結された体外配管回路10が示されており、この体外配管回路10はカセット組立体110と、これと相互連結された複数の配管/採取組立体20、50、60、100、90、950、980とを有している。好ましくは、血液取出し/戻し配管組立体20がドナー4と配管回路10の残部との間の単一針式インターフェースをなしている(しかし、2針式構成(図示せず)を使用してもよい)。好ましくは、血液をドナーから取出したりドナーに戻したりするための少なくとも2つの管路22、24が組立体20に設けられている(図3参照)。この実施例はカセット組立体110を有しており、このカセット組立体110は、これにドナーを繋ぐ配管組立体20と、カセット組立体110と血液処理容器352との間のインターフェースをなす血液流入/血液成分配管副組立体60との間に連結されている。血液および成分を処理器352へおよびから搬送するための3つの管路62、64、68が図2および図3に示されている。この実施例では、凝固防止剤配管組立体50、血漿採取配管/バッグ組立体90、赤血球採取組立体950、ベントバッグ配管副組立体100および添加剤溶液組立体980もまたカセット組立体110と連結されている。わかるように、体外配管回路10および血液処理容器352は好ましくは組み合わせで一回使用のための閉鎖された予備殺菌済み使い捨て組立体を生じるように予め相互連結されている。
血漿交換方法の始動する種々の他の作動は好ましくは中でも以上に挙げた特許に記載のように行われる。しかしながら、一般に、ここでは図7、図8および図9の概略図を特定的に参照して、並びに図1ないし図5を連続参照して、或る基本特徴を説明する。濾過およびRBC採取は、使用した添加剤溶液組立体および特定の処理器を除いて、図11、図12および図13の変更実施例の場合とほぼ同じである。
前記装置2を利用してドナー4に対する血漿交換手順を行うための1つの好適なプロトコルを以下に要約する。初めに、オペレータが使い捨てプラスチック組立体8を血液成分分離装置6に装填する。このプロトコルに従って、オペレータは種々のバッグ{例えば、採取バッグ954(使用されるなら、94);図7参照、以下に更に説明する}を血液成分分離装置6の夫々のフック(例えば、図7のフック996を参照)に吊るす。1つのバッグを使用する場合、オペレータは次いでカセット組立体110を装置6における遠心ロータ組立体568に設けられている場合のチャンネルハウジング204内の装置6および/または血液処理容器352に装填する。
Claims (21)
- 赤血球を白血球減少させる方法であって、
ドナーから取出された新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を用意し、
押し通す工程において、高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を白血球減少フィルタに、赤血球の重力によらないで押し通し、
前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を白血球減少フィルタに前記押し通す工程後、前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を採取容器に採取することよりなる赤血球の白血球減少方法であって、
前記押し通す工程は、間接圧送力を伴うことを特徴とする赤血球の白血球減少方法。 - 前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球は、ほぼ40とほぼ90との間のヘマトクリット値を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球は、約80のヘマトクリット値を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球は、80と95との間のヘマトクリット値を有する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記押し通す工程の後に、溶液を前記白血球減少フィルタを通して流して新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を前記フィルタから移動させることを更に含む請求項1ないし4いずれか1に記載の方法。
- 前記溶液は、塩水である請求項5に記載の方法。
- 前記溶液を前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球と混合するために前記採取容器に採取することを更に含む請求項5又は6に記載の方法。
- 前記押し通す工程中に、前記溶液を前記白血球減少フィルタを通して流しそれにより前記溶液を前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球と混合することを更に含む請求項5ないし7のいずれか1に記載の方法。
- 前記押し通す工程前に、溶液を前記白血球減少フィルタを通して流しそれにより前記溶液を前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球と混合し、
前記溶液および前記高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を前記採取容器に採取することを更に含む請求項5ないし7のいずれか1に記載の方法。 - 前記新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を前記白血球減少フィルタに押し通す前記押し通す工程は、新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を用意する前記工程とほぼ同時に起こる請求項1ないし9のいずれか1に記載の方法。
- 前記新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を前記白血球減少フィルタに押し通す前記工程は、新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を用意する前記工程の後すぐに起こる請求項1ないし9のいずれか1に記載の方法。
- 前記通し通す工程は、前記用意する工程のほぼゼロ(0)ないし2時間以内に起こる請求項1ないし11のいずれか1に記載の方法。
- 新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を用意する前記工程は、更に
ドナーから取出され、赤血球および他の血液成分を含有する全血液中の赤血球を、分離装置を使用して、前記他の血液成分から分離して新しく分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を生じることを含む請求項1ないし12のいずれか1に記載の方法。 - 新たに分離された高いヘマトクリット値の赤血球を用意する前記工程は、 ドナーから取出され、赤血球および他の血液成分を含有している全血液中の前記赤血球を、 分離装置を使用して、前記他の成分から分離して高いヘマトクリット値の分離済み赤血球を生じさせ、
