(1)有機発光層/電子注入層

(5)正孔注入層/正孔輸送層/有機発光層/電子輸送層/電子注入層
(上記の構成において、陽極として機能する電極が左側に接続され、陰極として機能する電極が右側に接続される)
ガラス基板10上に、ターゲットとしてIDIXO(出光興産株式会社製、インジウムおよび亜鉛の酸化物と酸化インジウムとの混合物)を用いるスパッタ法によって膜厚100nmのIZOを全面成膜して、透明電極20を形成した。
バッファ層40にPtを使用したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で有機EL素子を作製した。
バッファ層40にAuおよびAgの合金(Au:Ag=1:1)を使用したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で有機EL素子を作製した。
バッファ層40を積層しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で有機EL素子を作製した。
バッファ層40にLiFを使用したこと以外は、実施例1と同様の方法で有機EL素子を作製した。
実施例1〜3および比較例1〜2で得られた有機EL素子のそれぞれについて、初期輝度1000cd/m2の時の初期の駆動電圧および2000時間駆動後の駆動電圧を測定した。その結果を第1表に示す。

Claims (4)
- 基板と、該基板上に形成された透明電極と、前記透明電極上に形成された少なくとも有機発光層と電子注入層とを含む有機EL層と、前記有機EL層上に形成されたバッファ層と、前記バッファ層上に形成された反射電極とを有し、
前記電子注入層と前記バッファ層とが接触しており、
前記電子注入層はアルカリ金属またはアルカリ土類金属がドープされており、
前記バッファ層が前記反射電極を構成する材料と合金を形成しない導電性材料から形成され、該導電性材料はPtまたはAuであり、
前記反射電極は前記バッファ層と接触しており、
前記反射電極の材料はAlであることを特徴とする有機EL素子。 - 前記バッファ層が、電子注入層の材料と反射電極の材料との化学反応を防ぐ機能を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の有機EL素子。
- 前記バッファ層の膜厚が、0.5〜100nmであることを特徴とする請求項1から2のいずれか一項に記載の有機EL素子。
- 前記反射電極の反射率が、90%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の有機EL素子。
