B2O3 18.0 〜 24.0%(40.0モル%超)
GeO2 0 〜 4.0%
La2O3 21.0 〜 37.0%
Gd2O3 7.0 〜 23.0%
Ta2O5 13.0 〜 22.0%
Li2O 0.1 〜 0.5%(0.5モル%超)
ZnO 7.0 〜 14.0%(22.0モル%未満)
ZrO2 2.0 〜 10.0%
Nb2O5 0.4 〜 6.0%
からなり、
B 2 O 3 /SiO 2 モル比が5.5を超え、またZnO+Li 2 Oの合計量が25モル%未満であり、
屈折率(nd)が1.83〜1.87、且つ、アッベ数(νd)が39.0〜43.0の光学恒数を有し、屈伏点(At)が670℃以下であることを特徴とするものである。
以下の表1、2に示す成分配合を有する実施例1〜19、参考例について、前述した方法でガラスブロックを作製した。作製したガラスブロックの各々に対し、既知の方法により屈折率(nd、nC、nF)を実測した。アッベ数はその実測値を基に計算で求めた。屈伏点(At)も既知の方法により実測した。それらを表に示した。なお、成分のうち、B2O3、Li2O、ZnOについては、併せて、モル%も表1、2中に記載した。
以下の表2にに示す成分配合を有する比較例1〜3を準備した。比較例1は特許文献1の実施例23に、比較例2は特許文献2の実施例19に、比較例3は特許文献3の実施例40に、それぞれ相当する。準備した比較例1〜3について、発明者が実施例と同様にガラスを作製し、データ実測を行い、結果を以下の表3に併せて示した。

SiO2 0 〜 2.5%
B2O3 18.0 〜 24.0%(40.0モル%超)
GeO2 0 〜 4.0%
La2O3 21.0 〜 37.0%
Gd2O3 7.0 〜 23.0%
Ta2O5 13.0 〜 22.0%
Li2O 0.1 〜 0.5%(0.5モル%超)
ZnO 7.0 〜 14.0%(22.0モル%未満)
ZrO2 2.0 〜 10.0%
Nb2O5 0.4 〜 6.0%
からなり、
B 2 O 3 /SiO 2 モル比が5.5を超え、またZnO+Li 2 Oの合計量が25モル%未満であり、
屈折率(nd)が1.83〜1.87、且つ、アッベ数(νd)が39.0〜43.0の光学恒数を有し、
屈伏点(At)が670℃以下であることを特徴とする精密プレス成形用の光学ガラス。
