本出願は、2003年11月18日に出願された米国暫定出願第60/520,879号、2004年2月4日に出願された米国暫定出願第60/541,841号、2004年2月11日に出願された米国暫定出願第60/544,090号、2004年3月2日に出願された米国暫定出願第60/549,725号、2004年3月22日に出願された米国暫定出願第60/555,202号に対する優先権を主張し、これらは全て引用により全体が本明細書に組み込まれる。
本発明は一般に、動力伝達システムに関する。より具体的には、本発明は、トルク伝達装置出力とフロント又はリアディファレンシャルとの間で角度駆動連結が可能な等速ジョイントを有するトルク伝達装置の改良に関する。
Claims (13)
- トルク伝達装置であって、このトルク伝達装置は、:
前記トルク伝達装置内に回転自在に装着されたアウターレース(704)と、前記アウターレース(704)内に位置付けられ、1つ又はそれ以上のトルク伝達ボール(708)によって前記アウターレース(704)に動作可能に連結されたインナーレース(706)とを含む等速ジョイント(700)と;
前記等速ジョイント(700)のアウターレース(704)に連結され、入力シャフト(14)から前記トルク伝達装置に受け入れたトルクを前記等速ジョイント(700)のアウターレース(704)に伝達して、これにより前記アウターレース(700)が前記インナーレース(706)を介して駆動する駆動機構装置(24)と;
前記等速ジョイント(700)のインナーレース(706)に連結された出力シャフトであって、この出力シャフトが貫通するカバー(702)と一体になったハブ(718)によって所定角度に支承された出力シャフト(716)と;
前記出力シャフト(716)の回りに存在し且つ前記トルク伝達装置に固定されたブーツ(724)と;
前記アウターレース(704)の前方部分を包囲し且つ前記トルク伝達装置に取付けられ、トルク伝達装置と前記アウターレースとの間に挟まれた第1のシール部材(738)と;および
前記アウターレース(704)と前記ブーツ(724)との間に位置する第2のシール部材(740)とからなることを特徴とするトルク伝達装置。 - 前記アウターレース(107,94)の内部チャンバ(98)は、前記トルク伝達装置の内部チャンバ(96)と流体連通していないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記アウターレース(704)内に位置付けられたローラーケージ(226)を更に含み、前記ローラーケージ(226)がその表面を貫通する複数のオリフィスを有し、該複数のオリフィス内にトルク伝達ボール(708)が位置付けられ、前記インナーレース(706)が前記ローラーケージ(226)内に位置付けられることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記等速ジョイントが、プランジング型ジョイントであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記駆動機構装置は、第1セットのベベルギアが前記入力シャフトから前記アウターレースに連結される第2セットのベベルギアにトルクを伝達するベベルギアトルク伝達システムであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記駆動機構装置は、アイドラーシャフトに連結される高速ギアと係合する前記入力シャフトに装着される第1の駆動ギアと、前記アウターレースに連結される第2の駆動ギアとを含むギア伝達システム(24)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記アウターレース(704)は、少なくとも1つの軸受によって前記トルク伝達装置内に回転自在に支持されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記トルク伝達装置が、トランスファーケース(10,50,92,702)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記駆動機構装置は、前記アウターレース(704)に固定して連結されるスプロケット(701)と、該スプロケットと係合し且つ前記入力シャフトにも動作可能に連結されるチェーン(62)とを含むスプロケットとチェーン装置であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記アウターレース(704,94)は一対のローラー軸受(712,714,104,124)のセットによって回転自在に支持され、前記第1のローラー軸受のセットが前記出力シャフト(710,110)の反対側にある前記トルク伝達装置(702,92)の端部に位置付けられ、前記第2のローラー軸受のセットが前記アウターレース(704,94)に固定された前記スプロケット(710,131)の前方部分に位置付けられることを特徴とする請求項9に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記スプロケット(710)の前方部分(142)と前記トルク伝達装置の装着ブラケット(130)との間に位置付けられたリングカバー(140)を更に有することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記ブーツ(724)の端部(726)は、前記トルク伝達装置の取付けブラケット(250)に取り付けられ、このブーツが出力シャフト(716)と一緒に回転しないように、少なくとも1つのベアリング(272)が前記出力シャフトの回りに設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のトルク伝達装置。
- 前記ブーツ(724)の端部は、固定部材(266)によって前記取付けブラケット(250)に固定されている請求項12に記載のトルク伝達装置。
