Description
Claims (16)
- カテーテル中に塞栓コイルを導入するデバイスにおいて、
その近位端における第1の開口部からその遠位端における第2の開口部へと内部を延びる長手方向通路を規定する細長本体であって、前記細長本体は、カテーテルのハブ中の開口のサイズ及び形状に適合して前記カテーテルと適合する適合部位を含み、前記細長本体は、前記第2の開口部をシールするバルブを含む、細長本体と、
内部を延びるコイル受容ルーメンを含む塞栓コイル導入シースであって、前記導入シースの遠位端は、前記長手方向通路の近位端内に受容されるような寸法にされる、塞栓コイル導入シースと、を備え、前記バルブは、前記導入シースが前記細長本体中に、前記細長本体の外側から、遠位方向から近位方向に挿入されるとき、前記導入シースを受容し、かつ前記導入シースの周囲をシールするように適合されているデバイス。 - 前記バルブはスリット膜を有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記適合部位は、前記細長本体の遠位端からその近位端に向かって延び、前記カテーテルハブ中の凹部と機械的かつ摩擦的に適合する柔軟性の実質的に円錐形状の部材を有する、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記柔軟性円錐部は、ポリウレタン、サントプレーン(商標)、シリコーン、天然ゴム、及び熱可塑性エラストマーのうちの1つで形成される、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記柔軟性円錐部は、前記カテーテルハブの前記凹部の内側表面と実質的に適合する外側表面を有する、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記適合部位は、当該適合部位に形成され、当該適合部位にさらなる柔軟性を付与する複数のスリットをさらに有する、請求項3に記載のデバイス。
- 前記細長本体の近位端に形成されたルアーアタッチメントアダプタをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記ルアーアタッチメントアダプタは、ポリカーボネート、ABS、及びテコプラスト(商標)のうちの1つで形成される、請求項7に記載のデバイス。
- 身体管腔内に配置するためにカテーテル中にコイルを導入するシステムにおいて、
スタビライザであって、その近位端における剛性ルアーアダプタと、前記ルアーアダプタから当該スタビライザの遠位端へと延びる柔軟性カテーテルハブ適合部位とを有し、前記柔軟性カテーテルハブ適合部位は、前記ルアーアダプタから当該スタビライザの遠位端に延び、通路が当該スタビライザを通じて前記近位端から前記遠位端中に形成された開口部に延び、当該スタビライザは、前記遠位端の開口部をシールするバルブを含む、スタビライザと、
コイル収容ルーメンを有する導入シースであって、前記コイル収容ルーメンは、前記導入シースを通じてコイル留置開口部へと延び、前記シースの遠位部位は、前記通路を通じて挿入されるようなサイズとされ、これにより、前記遠位開口部から遠位方向に出現し、前記シースの前記遠位部位及び前記適合部位は、前記シースの前記遠位部位が内部から突出した状態で前記適合部位がカテーテルのハブ内の動作位置に挿入された時に、前記コイル留置開口部が前記カテーテルの近位開口部に接するようなサイズにされる、導入シースと、
を備え、前記バルブは、前記導入シースが前記スタビライザ中に、前記スタビライザの外側から、遠位方向から近位方向に挿入されるとき、前記導入シースを受容し、かつ前記導入シースの周囲をシールするように適合されているシステム。 - 前記バルブは、内部に少なくとも1つのスリットが形成された膜を有する、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記適合部位の外側表面は、前記カテーテルハブの内側表面と実質的に同様の形状にされる、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記適合部位の前記外側表面は実質的に円錐状である、請求項11に記載のシステム。
- 前記適合部位は、当該適合部位の柔軟性を向上させる複数のスリットを有する、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- 前記適合部位の最小半径部は、前記スタビライザの前記遠位端に隣接し、前記適合部位の最大半径部は、前記ルアーアダプタに隣接する、請求項12に記載のシステム。
- カテーテルのハブに挿入されると、前記適合部位は、前記ハブと摩擦的かつ機械的に適合して、コイルの前記カテーテルへの導入時に、前記シース及び前記カテーテルの所望の相対位置を保持する、請求項9に記載のシステム。
- 前記剛性ルアーアダプタ及び前記適合部位は摩擦的に適合する、請求項9に記載のシステム。
