Description
本特許出願は、「無線ネットワークにおける多周波数帯域動作のための方法および装置(Method and Apparatus for Multiple Frequency Band Operation in Wireless Networks)」と題され、2004年10月20日に出願され、これについての譲受人に譲渡され、参照によりここに明示的に組み込まれている、米国特許仮出願第60/620,488号の優先権を主張する。
本開示は、一般に無線通信に関し、とりわけ多周波数帯域動作(multiple frequency band operation)に関する。
無線通信システムは、音声やデータなど、様々なタイプの通信を提供するために広範に展開される。典型的な無線データシステム、またはネットワークは、1つまたは複数の共用リソースに対する複数のユーザのアクセスを提供する。システムは、周波数分割多重化(Frequency Division Multiplexing)(FDM)、時分割多重化(Time Division Multiplexing)(TDM)、符号分割多重化(Code Division Multiplexing)(CDM)のような様々な多重アクセス技法を使用することができる。
ここに開示される実施形態は、無線ネットワーク中における多周波数帯域動作についての、当技術分野における必要性に対処している。
Claims (8)
- メモリと;
前記メモリに結合され、少なくとも第1のチャネル帯域幅および第2のチャネル帯域幅からの選択されたチャネル帯域幅と、前記第1のチャネル帯域幅が選択されるときには複数の第1のチャネル境界からの、また前記第2の帯域幅が選択されるときには複数の第2のチャネル境界からの選択されたチャネル境界とにおいて、確立するためのチャネルを選択するように構成されたプロセッサと;
を備えており、
前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界のサブセットであるように選択されており、そして、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界の各境界
は、少なくとも前記第2のチャネル帯域幅によって、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界のうちの他の境界から隔てられており、
前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界の連続したサブセットであり、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルは、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルを占める、
装置。 - 前記選択されたチャネル上で信号を受信するように構成されたレシーバをさらに備え、前記プロセッサはさらに、複数の周波数帯域エネルギー測定値を生成しそして前記複数の周波数帯域エネルギー測定値のうちの1つまたは複数に応じて干渉を検出するように構成される、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記プロセッサは、対応する複数のトーンについての前記複数のエネルギー測定値を生成する高速フーリエ変換(FFT)と、前記対応する複数のトーンについての前記エネルギー測定値に応じて前記複数の周波数帯域エネルギー測定値を生成するエネルギーカルキュレータとを利用するように構成される、請求項2に記載の装置。
- 少なくとも第1のチャネル帯域幅および第2のチャネル帯域幅からチャネル帯域幅を選択することと、そして
前記第1のチャネル帯域幅が選択されるときは複数の第1のチャネル境界から、そして前記第2のチャネル帯域幅が選択されるときは複数の第2のチャネル境界から、チャネル境界を選択することと、
を備え、
前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は前記複数の第1のチャネル境界のサブセットであるように選択されており、そして、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界の各境界は、少なくとも前記第2のチャネル帯域幅によって、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界のうちの他の境界から隔てらており、
前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界の連続したサブセットであり、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルは、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルを占める、
方法。 - 第1のチャネル帯域幅と第2のチャネル帯域幅と複数の第1のチャネル境界と複数の第2チャネル境界とを決定するための手段と、なお前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界のサブセットであるように選択されており、前記サブセットは、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界の各境界が少なくとも前記第2のチャネル帯域幅によって、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界のうちの他の境界から隔てられるように選択される;そして
前記第2のチャネル境界のうちの1つの境界において前記第2のチャネル帯域幅のチャネルを確立するための手段と;
を備え、
前記複数の第2のチャネル境界は、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界の連続したサブセットであり、前記複数の第2のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルは、前記複数の第1のチャネル境界によって決定されるスペクトルを占める、
無線通信システム。 - 前記第1のチャネル帯域幅のチャネルにおける使用に利用可能な第1の複数の変調フォーマットと;
前記第2のチャネル帯域幅のチャネルにおける使用に利用可能な第2の複数の変調フォーマットと、なお前記第2の複数の変調フォーマット中の少なくとも1つの変調フォーマットは、前記第1の複数のフォーマット中の前記変調フォーマットのおのおのとは異なる;
前記第2のチャネル帯域幅の第1のチャネルを確立するための手段と、なお前記チャネルは、一次チャネルおよび1つまたは複数の二次チャネルを備える;
前記第2の複数の変調フォーマットのうちの1つまたは複数を使用して前記第1のチャネル上で2つ以上の局の間で通信するための手段と;そして
前記第1のチャネル上で干渉を検出するための手段と;
をさらに備える請求項5に記載の無線通信システム。 - 前記第1の複数の変調フォーマットは、第1の複数の直交周波数分割多重化(OFDM)トーンを備え、そして
前記第2の複数の変調フォーマットは、第2の複数のOFDMトーンを備え、前記第2の複数のOFDMトーン中のトーン数は、前記第1の複数のOFDMトーン中のトーン数よりも大きい、
請求項5に記載の無線通信システム。 - 前記第1の複数の変調フォーマットは、第1のチップレートの符号分割多元接続(CDMA)信号を備え、そして
前記第2の複数の変調フォーマットは、前記第1のチップレートよりも高い第2のチップレートの第2のCDMA信号を備える、
請求項5に記載の無線通信システム。
