Description
これに加えて、トランスミッションのAT・CVT(自動変速機・無段変速機)化や低燃費化等のために、潤滑油として低粘度の油が使われる傾向にあること、およびトランスミッションの小型化・高出力化により、使用環境が高荷重・高温化する傾向にあることから、予圧抜けの程度とその時の運転環境が過酷になる傾向にある。
その結果、図4(A)に示すように予圧が設定されていても、高温となる運転時には、図4(B)のように円すい軸受11がすきま状態で大きな軸傾きが作用する。これにより外輪13の軌道面13aの小径側でころ14とエッジ当りが発生し、非常に短時間で外輪外輪軌道面13aが小径側エッジ部から剥離を生じることがある。
この構成によると、外輪軌道面の傾斜角度が、内輪・ころアセンブル部品の角度に対してやや小さく設定されている。すなわち、外輪軌道面ところとが、外輪小径側で僅かに隙間が生じるように設定されている。そのため、軸受ハウジング、例えばトランスミッションやデファレンシャルが高温となり、軸受にすきまが生じて軸傾きが発生しても、外輪軌道面の小径側でのころのエッジ当たりが解消される。その結果、予圧抜けに起因して非常に短時間で外輪軌道面の小径側エッジ部が剥離することが防止できる。上記頂角の差が2分未満であると、外輪小径側エッジ部の剥離防止が十分でなく、また7分を超えると、予圧が負荷された条件で大径側エッジ部の剥離が生じる恐れがある。
また、この構成によると、外輪軌道面または内輪・ころアセンブル部品の角度を変えるだけであるため、加工や処理の増加を伴わず、したがってコスト増を招くことことが回避される。
上記のように外輪軌道面の傾斜角度が、内輪・ころアセンブル部品の角度に対してやや小さく設定されているため、ミスアライメント(軸傾き)が無く、予圧が付与された運転初期の低温・低荷重の状態では、外輪軌道面の大径部でころと接触することになる。この状態は比較的に軽荷重であることから、内外の軌道面、あるいはころの外周面にクラウニングが施されていると、そのクラウニング形状により、過大なエッジ応力の発生が防止される。
これら内外輪2,3の軌道面2a,3aおよび円すいころ4の外周面は、必ずしもクラウニングが施されていなくても良いが、これらの面のうちの少なくとも一つはクラウニングが施されたものとすることが好ましい。
また、この構成では、外輪軌道面3aまたは内輪・ころアセンブル部品の角度を変えるだけであるため、加工や処理の増加を伴わず、したがってコスト増を招くことことが回避される。
このようなギヤ3A等の外輪相当部品の場合も、頂角α,βの差を上記のように設けることにより、上記と同様な作用,効果が得られる。

Claims (2)
- 内輪ところのアセンブル部品と、外輪または外輪に相当する部品とを有する円すいころ軸受であって、前記外輪または外輪に相当する部品の軌道面である外輪軌道面を構成する円すい面の頂角が、前記内輪ところのアセンブル部品における、ころ列に外接する円すい面の頂角に対して、2分以上,7分以下の範囲で小さくなっていて、前記外輪軌道面の大径部で前記ころが接触し、前記外輪軌道面の小径部でこの外輪軌道面と前記ころとの間に隙間が生じることを特徴とする円すいころ軸受。
- 請求項1において、内外の軌道面およびころの外周面の少なくとも一つに、クラウニングが施されている円すいころ軸受。
