1.1.測定
各種組成物の熱安定性を熱重量分析により測定する。

様々な組成物を製造した。第一系列の塗料は、重合体状結合剤の性質の火災性能に対する効果を見るために、塩素化パラフィンを加えずに製造した。第二系列の塗料は、塩素化パラフィンを加えて製造した。

3.1 測定
コーン熱量計で耐火性を測定することにより、温度プロファイルを求める。膨脹性塗料の絶縁特性は、35または75kW/m2の熱フラックスにさらした被覆した基剤の温度を測定することにより、試験した。100x100x4mmのアルミニウムパネルを膨脹性塗料で被覆し(800g/m2)、50℃で48時間乾燥させた。試料を35または75kW/m2の熱フラックス下で、ASTM 1356−90およびISO 5660によるStanton Redcroft Cone Calorimeterに露出した(50kW/m2は火災の際に放出される熱に相当する、V. Babrauskas in Fire and Mat (1984), 8(2), 81)。
結果を図6および7に示す。
膨脹性塗料の火災性能を塩素化パラフィンを含む塗料で測定し、図8に示す。
Claims (9)
- 膨脹性塗料における重合体状結合剤として使用する、共重合体組成物であって、
ニュートン共重合体と網状共重合体の混合物を含んでなり、
前記ニュートン共重合体および前記網状共重合体が、
p−メチルスチレン(PMS)及びp−tert−ブチルスチレン(PTBS)から選択されてなる、置換されたスチレンと、
2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート(2EHA)及びイソブチルメタクリレート(IBMA)から選択されてなる、置換されたアクリレートからなるものであり、
並びに、少なくともp−メチルスチレン(PMS)と2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート(2EHA)を含んでなり、
前記ニュートン共重合体が、溶剤に溶解させた時にニュートン粘度を与えてなり、ニュートン粘度がせん断に依存しない共重合体であり、及び
前記網状共重合体が、チキソトロピー性共重合体および疑似塑性共重合体から選択されてなり、
前記チキソトロピー性共重合体が、溶剤に溶解させた時に、せん断により溶液の粘度が下がり、放置した時に時間と共に元の状態に戻る共重合体であり、
前記疑似可塑性共重合体が、溶剤に溶解させた時に、せん断により溶液の粘度が下がる共重合体である、共重合体組成物。 - 前記置換されたスチレンと前記置換されたアクリレートの重量比が、90/10〜50/50である、請求項1に記載の共重合体組成物。
- 前記組成物における前記共重合体の混合物がエマルション重合により得られる、請求項1又は2に記載の共重合体。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の共重合体組成物を含んでなる、膨脹性塗料。
- リン酸及びポリリン酸のアンモニウム塩から選択されるフォーム形成物質、
炭素水素化物から選択される炭素形成物質、および
反応性顔料系、分散剤、可塑剤、消泡剤、増粘剤、塩素化パラフィン溶剤、ワックス、充填材、繊維、沈降防止剤から選択される添加剤をさらに含んでなる、請求項4に記載の膨脹性塗料。 - 前記フォーム形成物質が、リン酸のアンモニウム塩であり、
前記炭素形成物質が、ペンタエリトリトール、ジペンタエリトリトール、トリペンタエリトリトールおよびペンタエリトリトールの重縮合物を含んでなる群から選択されてなる、請求項5に記載の膨脹性塗料。 - 水系または溶剤系である、請求項4〜6のいずれか一項に記載の膨脹性塗料。
- 請求項4又は5に記載の膨脹性塗料を形成する方法であって、
(a)請求項1において定義されるニュートン重合体および/または網状共重合体を溶剤または水に溶解させる工程と、
(b)混合物を均質化し、請求項5において定義される添加剤を加える工程とを含んでなる、方法。 - 工程(a)及び工程(b)の間において、塩素化パラフィンを加える工程を含んでなる、請求項8に記載の方法。
