Description
本願は、2002年8月9日出願の米国特許仮出願番号第60/402,228号(その開示全体が本明細書中で参考として組み込まれる)の利益を主張する。
連邦政府支援の記述
本発明は、動物飼料を給与された未成熟および成長中の動物の成長成績(growth performance)の改善方法ならびにこれを達成するための動物飼料サプリメントに関する。
野生型バチルスリケニフォルミスPWD−1株を使用したケラチナーゼ産生のために発酵スケールアップストラテジーをデザインした。
組換えバチルスリケニフォルミスT399D株(以後「バチルスリケニフォルミスT1株」)を使用したケラチナーゼ産生のために発酵スケールアップストラテジーをデザインした。
トリおよび収容。3つの実験を行った。各実験では、192日齢のブロイラー雛の体重を測定し、2つのAlternate Designバッテリー(Wilveco,ビルリカ,マサチューセッツ州)に対して完全に無作為なデザインの24個のケージに無作為に割り当てた。トリの体重を測定し、羽を縛り、5日齢(実験1および2)および1日齢(実験3)で実験処置を施した。檻あたり8羽のトリを使用して4回繰り返したコントロール処理以外は、檻あたり8羽のトリを使用して各処置を5回繰り返した。トリを、温度、換気、および照明(24時間/日)を制御した部屋に収容した。実験期間中、トリに給餌器で飼料をおよびニップルドリンカーで水を自由に給与した。
2実験1および2において最初の5日齢のトリに自由に給与する。全ての実験では、コントロール処置を施したトリに最初の5日齢以降同一の飼料を給与し続け、他のトリに対応する処置を施した。
3ミネラルプレミックスは、Eastern Minerals,Inc.,Henderson,NCから入手し、以下(飼料1kgあたり):ZnSO4から120mgのZn;MnSO4から120mgのMn;FeSO4C5H2Oから80mgのFe;CuSO4から10mgのCu;CaIO4から2.5mgのI;CoSO4から1mgのCoが供給される。
4ビタミンプレミックスは、Roche,Nutley,NJから入手し、以下(飼料1kgあたり):13,200IUのビタミンA;4,000ICUのビタミンD;66IUのビタミンE;39.6FgのビタミンB12;13.2mgのリボフラビン;110mgのナイアシン;22mgのd−パントテン酸;0.4mgのビタミンK;2.2mgの葉酸;4.0mgのチアミン;7.9mgのピリドキシン;0.253mgのビオチン;100mgのエトキシキンが供給される。
5セレンプレミックスにより、Na2SeO3として0.2mgSe/kg飼料が供給される。
6計算分析。
最終体重、累積飼料消費、および飼料要求率を、表2に示す。
