炭化水素は、連鎖増殖法(a chain growth process)によって、触媒の選択と反応条件に依存する連鎖の長さを有して、合成される。最初に形成された製品は通常のパラフィンであるが、αオレフィンおよびアルコールも同様に形成される。
外径21mm、内径18mm、長さ58mm、壁厚1.5mmの寸法を有するαアルミナ管が用意された。微細孔の大きさの分布は、平均孔サイズ0.07〜0.1ミクロンに対して対称(半径方向)である。管全体はαアルミナから成り、γアルミナは存在しない(Steenkamp, Ph.d. thesis, University Twente)。
試験は温度約160℃、低圧のもと行われた。圧力は膜に所定の圧力降下を生じさせるのに充分に高くすべきである。2バールの圧力降下が選ばれ、大気圧の透過側に対して、供給側で3バールの全絶対圧力が使用された。混合物が気相状態にあることを保証するために、温度は3バールでのオクタンおよび水の沸点よりも充分に高く選ばれた。稼動温度は適用される所定の圧力で最も揮発性の小さい成分(たとえばオクタン)の沸点よりも充分に高く選ばれた。
Claims (19)
- 副生成物として水を生成する有機化学反応を行う反応混合物から水を除去する方法であって、反応混合物がヒドロキシソーダライト膜に接触し、100℃以上の温度で該膜を通して、反応中に生成する水を反応混合物から反応中または反応後に除去することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記ヒドロキシソーダライト膜が多孔性支持体に支持されることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記支持体がαアルミナ支持体であることを特徴とする請求項2記載の方法。
- 前記膜を通した水の除去が150℃〜500℃で生じることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記有機化学反応はフィッシャー・トロプシュ反応、縮合反応および脱水反応から成る群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記有機化学反応がフィッシャー・トロプシュ合成またはアルカノールからのアルケンの生成を含むことを特徴とする請求項5の方法。
- 前記有機化学反応がスラリー相反応であり、前記反応混合物は管状支持膜である前記膜の表面に沿って連続的に通過することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- H2、CO、CO2、CH4および高アルカンから成る群内の少なくとも化合物と水との混合物から水を分離する方法であって、100℃以上の温度でヒドロキシソーダライト膜上で混合物を通過させ、該膜を通して水を除去することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記ヒドロキシソーダライト膜が多孔性支持体に支持されることを特徴とする請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記支持体がαアルミナ支持体であることを特徴とする請求項9記載の方法。
- 前記膜を通しての水の除去が150℃〜500℃で生じることを特徴とする請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記膜は管状の膜であることを特徴とする請求項8〜11のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 管状多孔性セラミック製支持体に支持されていることを特徴とする管状ヒドロキシソーダライト膜。
- 前記支持体がαアルミナ支持体であることを特徴とする請求項13記載の膜。
- ヒドロキシソーダライト膜とセラミック製支持体との間に、メソ多孔体材料から成る中間層が存在することを特徴とする請求項13または14記載の膜。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか1項に記載の方法での使用に適する支持されたヒドロキシソーダライト膜を作製する方法であって、適切な多孔性膜支持材料を準備し、ケイ酸塩とアルミン酸塩とが水に溶けた溶液を準備し、熱水条件下で前記溶液を反応させて、多孔性材料の表面上にヒドロキシソーダライト層を形成することを特徴とする方法。
- 前記膜が一旦形成されると、熱水反応が停止されることを特徴とする請求項16記載の方法。
- 前記熱水条件が、自然圧力またはより高い圧力下で少なくとも2時間、少なくとも125℃の温度を含むことを特徴とする請求項16または17記載の方法。
- 請求項1または8記載の方法において、前記ヒドロキシソーダが6員環構造を有し、6員環の直径が100℃で水の移動が可能になるように水の動直径よりもわずかに小さいことを特徴とする方法。
