Description
高強度、高モジュラスの構造用布帛製品およびその製品の製造方法を提供する。繊維/布帛処理と樹脂含浸および被覆プロセスの組合わせを採用して、複合材料を製造する。この複合材料は、樹脂マトリックス材料が繊維束のフィラメントレベルにまで浸透するようにマトリックスに埋め込まれてそれと結合した、高強度および高モジュラスの繊維を含む。得られた布帛製品は、極限環境条件下でシームを越えて高レベルの負荷を運搬および分散する構造体の作成に使用できる。
発明の詳細な記述
本発明は、高強度、高モジュラスの構造用布帛製品およびその製品の製造方法に関する。繊維/布帛処理と樹脂含浸および被覆プロセスを利用して、浮揚(空気支持)構造体に使用できる布帛製品が得られ、これは極限環境条件下でシームを越えて高レベルの負荷を運搬および分散でき、高度の耐久性を備えている。繊維/布帛処理と樹脂含浸および被覆プロセスの組合わせを採用して、複合材料を製造する。この複合材料は、樹脂マトリックス材料が繊維束のフィラメントレベルにまで浸透するようにマトリックスに埋め込まれてそれと結合した、高強度および高モジュラスの繊維を含む。この形態で、繊維およびマトリックスの両方ともそれらの物理的および化学的性質を保持し、さらにいずれかの成分単独では達成されない組合わせ特性が得られる。
次いで、加工ブロック150に示すように、布帛を乾燥オーブンに供給する。好ましくは、乾燥オーブンは布帛−樹脂複合材料から希釈剤を除去するために必要な温度に設定される。
Claims (6)
- 布帛製品であって、該布帛製品が、高強度および高モジュラスの複数の繊維を有する布帛層を含み、ここで、該布帛層が含浸用配合物で含浸されており、布帛層の各々の側が含浸用配合物で被覆されており、
含浸用配合物が、
プレポリマーであって、42の当量を有するイソシアネートを含み、6.34のイソシアネート含量を有するプレポリマー、
230の硬化剤の当量を有する共反応体硬化剤、並びに
希釈剤であって、プレポリマーおよび硬化剤の混合物を溶媒和する希釈剤、
を含む混合物から得られるものであり、
含浸用配合物が85%未満の硬化剤の化学量論量範囲を有し、
高強度および高モジュラスの繊維が少なくとも1つのアラミド繊維または芳香族ポリエステル繊維を含み、
硬化剤対プレポリマーの比が次式により求められる、
布帛製品。 - 含浸用配合物が75%の硬化剤の化学量論量範囲を有する、請求項1に記載の布帛製品。
- プレポリマーがウレタンプレポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載の布帛製品。
