Description

Claims (11)
- 基板上に、溝、凹部、並びに、第1及び第2の透過光学素子としての導波路及び/又は
光ファイバー、が設けられた導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板と、
光学集成体基板上に、溝、前記光学集成体基板上の前記溝内に位置決めされた第1及び第2の集束光学素子、並びに、前記第1及び第2の集束光学素子の間に光学的コンポーネントが設けられた光学集成体基板と、
を有する光学装置であって、
前記光学集成体基板を反転させ、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板上にフリッ
プチップ載置する際、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板における前記溝内に前記
第1及び第2の集束光学素子が受容され、且つ、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基
板における前記凹部内に前記光学的コンポーネントが受容された、光学装置。 - 基板上に、溝、第1及び第2の透過光学素子としての導波路及び/又は光ファイバー、
並びに前記第1及び第2の透過光学素子の間に光学的コンポーネントが設けられた導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板と、
光学集成体基板上に、溝、前記光学集成体基板上の前記溝内に位置決めされた第1及び第2の集束光学素子、並びに凹部が設けられた光学集成体基板と、
を有する光学装置であって、
前記光学集成体基板を反転させ、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板上にフリッ
プチップ載置する際、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板における前記溝内に前記
第1及び第2の集束光学素子が受容され、且つ、前記光学集成体基板における前記凹部内に前記光学的コンポーネントが受容された、光学装置。 - 前記第1及び第2の透過光学素子が長手方向に対して平行である一方、長手方向の垂直方向に対しては互いに変位しており、さらに、前記第1及び第2の透過光学素子の近位端部間に前記光学的コンポーネントが位置するように配置され、前記光学的コンポーネントが第1の集束光学素子と対向する第1の端面、及び第2の集束光学素子と対向する第2の端面を有しており、前記端面がそれぞれ、前記第1及び前記第2の透過光学素子によって画定される光の伝搬方向に対して非垂直であることを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の光学装置。
- 前記第1及び第2の集束光学素子が、前記光学集成体基板に設けられた溝内に配置された、GRIN光学媒体から成る第1及び第2のGRINセグメントであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の光学装置。
- 集束光学素子の遠位端部と透過光学素子の対応近位端面との間の光路、又は前記光学的コンポーネントの端面と前記第1もしくは第2の集束光学素子の近位端部との間の光路、又はその両方の光路に、透明な埋込用媒体を充填することを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載の光学装置。
- 前記第1又は第2の透過光学素子が光ファイバーであり、
前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板には前記光ファイバー用溝が設けられ、さら
に前記光ファイバー用溝を分割するように凹部領域が形成され、前記凹部領域上の光ファイバーを除去した後、前記光ファイバーを長手方向かつ近位端面方向に向かって押し、前記凹部領域上に光ファイバーの一部を存在させることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の光学装置。 - 前記第1又は第2の透過光学素子がプレーナー型光導波路を含み、前記プレーナー型光導波路が、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板上に形成されていることを特徴とす
る請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の光学装置。 - 前記第1又は第2の集束光学素子がその近位端部に、プレーナー型光導波路の集束セグメントを含み、
又は、プレーナー型光導波路の近位セグメントが、光学モード・エキスパンダーを含むことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3、5ないし7のいずれかに記載の光学装置。 - i)前記光学的コンポーネントが光学アイソレーターを含み;又は、
ii)前記光学的コンポーネントがファラデー回転子及び直線偏光子を含み、前記透過光学素子のうちの1つ以上が、前記導波路及び/又は光ファイバー用基板上に形成された偏
光選択的なプレーナー型導波路を含み、そして、前記ファラデー回転子、偏光子、及び偏光選択的なプレーナー型導波路が一緒に、光アイソレーターとして機能する、請求項1ないし5、7ないし8のいずれかに記載の光学装置。 - 前記偏光選択的なプレーナー型導波路が、導波路における屈曲又は導波路上の被膜を設けることによって、導波路の一部を偏光子の選択的な素子として機能させたプレーナー型導波路である、請求項9に記載の光学装置。
- さらに、前記第1透過光学素子の遠位端部が光学デバイスと光カップリングすることにより、光学出力が、前記第1透過光学素子及び前記光学的コンポーネントを通って前記第2透過光学素子に透過されるように配置され、前記光学デバイスが、レーザー源、光トランシーバー、又は光検出器を含む請求項1ないし5、7ないし8のいずれかに記載の光学装置。
