Description
約200℃未満のエンジン排気口における排ガス温度でのエンジン運転状態の間に、エンジンによって排出され、かつ酸化触媒によって変換されていない炭化水素を炭化水素吸着材において吸着させ(吸蔵段階)、そして排出された煤粒子をパティキュレートフィルタ上に堆積させる。200℃を超えるエンジン排気口における排ガス温度でのエンジン運転状態の間に、排出された炭化水素を酸化触媒によって変換させる。
Claims (5)
- 酸化触媒(7)とその下流のパティキュレートフィルタ(5)とを有する自動車の内燃機関(2)の排ガス用の排ガス浄化システムであって、
コンバータシェル(6)が、この排ガス浄化システム内でエンジン排気口のすぐ下流に配置されており、かつ酸化触媒(7)を有し、かつ炭化水素吸着材(4)が、自動車の床下区域内においてパティキュレートフィルタ(5)のすぐ上流に配置され、かつ炭化水素吸着材はパティキュレートフィルタが位置されているのと同一のコンバータシェル内に位置されており、かつパティキュレートフィルタは、流入側上を酸化触媒でコートされたウォールフロー型フィルタであり、かつハニカム体上でのゼオライトコーティングが炭化水素吸着材として使用されており、該コーティングはゼオライトZSM5とDAYとの混合物を有し、かつ白金をハニカム体容量に対して0.1g/l以下の濃度で触媒活性成分として含有する
ことを特徴とする排ガス浄化システム。 - 酸化触媒が、ハニカム体上に白金で活性化された酸化アルミニウム又はケイ酸アルミニウムの触媒活性コーティングを有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 炭化水素吸着材が、1〜50gの範囲内の炭化水素についての吸蔵容量を有することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の排ガス浄化システム。
- 請求項1から3までの何れか1項に記載の排ガス浄化システムを運転する方法において、200℃未満のエンジン排気口における排ガス温度でのエンジン運転段階の間に、エンジンによって排出され、かつ酸化触媒によって変換されていない炭化水素を炭化水素吸着材において吸着させ、そして排出された煤粒子をパティキュレートフィルタ上に堆積させる一方で、200℃より高いエンジン排気口における排ガス温度でのエンジン運転段階の間に、排出された炭化水素を酸化触媒によって変換させ、そしてパティキュレートフィルタをときおり再生させ、その際、再生を開始するために、炭化水素吸着材の場所での排ガス温度をエンジンモディフィケーションによって炭化水素の脱着温度まで上昇させ、そして吸蔵された炭化水素を脱着させ、そしてパティキュレートフィルタの酸化用コーティングにおいて触媒燃焼させ、再生を支援することを特徴とする方法。
- 排ガス中の炭化水素濃度を、吸蔵段階の間に炭化水素を内燃機関のシリンダ内にポスト噴射させることによって上昇させ、吸蔵される炭化水素の質量を増加させることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
