Description
Claims (40)
- 生体内腔の周囲に配設されるよう構成され、1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを有するカフと、
上記1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを電気的に制御して、上記カフを拡張又は収縮させる制御ユニットとを備え、
上記カフの上記1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータが、基板層、上記基板層上に配置された導電性ポリマを含む電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域、対電極及び上記電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域及び上記対電極の間に配置された電解質を含むことを特徴とする人工括約筋。 - 少なくとも1つのバリア層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 外側のメッシュ層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項2記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記1つ以上のアクティブ部材は、非線形の形状に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 複数のアクティブ部材が上に設けられた少なくとも2つの基板層を備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記基板層は、絶縁層であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記基板層が、上記1つ以上のアクティブ部材と上記電源との間を電気的に接続する為に導電配線を備えることを特徴とする請求項6記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記基板層は、導電層であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフの両端には、上記生体内腔の周囲に該カフを固定するためのファスナが設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記制御ユニットは、電源と、スイッチとを備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、尿道の周囲に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、肛門管の周囲に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、下部食道の周囲に取り付けられることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、食道の周囲に配設され、食物又は飲料が上記食道に流入したことを検出するための上記制御ユニットと接続したセンサを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、食道の周囲に配設され、胃が内容物を吐き戻そうとしていることを検出するための上記制御ユニットと接続したセンサを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータは、ポリアニリン、ポリピロール及びポリアセチレンからなるグループから選択される電場応答性ポリマを含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記電場応答性ポリマは、ポリピロールであることを特徴とする請求項16記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記カフは、該カフを拡張状態又は収縮状態に戻す復元力を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記復元力を提供する少なくとも1つの弾性の構造的要素を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項18記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記少なくとも1つの構造的要素は、断面直径が減少すると長さが増加する弾性を有する環状の管であることを特徴とする請求項19記載の人工括約筋。
- 生体内腔の周囲に配設されるよう構成され、複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを有するカフと、
上記複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを電気的に制御して、上記カフを拡張又は収縮させる制御ユニットと、
上記電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータの収縮の程度を検知する、上記制御ユニットと接続したセンサを備え、
上記カフの上記複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータが、基板層、上記基板層上に配置された導電性ポリマを含む電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域、対電極及び上記電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域及び上記対電極の間に配置された電解質を含むことを特徴とする、人工括約筋。 - 上記制御ユニットと接続したセンサは、複数の歪みゲージを含むことを特徴とする請求項21記載の人工括約筋。
- 便失禁の治療の為の請求項12記載の人工括約筋。
- 尿失禁の治療の為の請求項11記載の人工括約筋。
- 胃食道逆流性疾患の治療の為の請求項13記載の人工括約筋。
- 上記制御ユニットは、電源とコンピュータとを備えることを特徴とする請求項1記載の人工括約筋。
- 1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータと、
人工筋肉パッチを拡張又は収縮させるように上記1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを電気的に制御する制御ユニットとを備え、
患者の心臓に接するように移植され、
上記パッチの上記1つ以上の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータが、基板層、上記基板層上に配置された導電性ポリマを含む電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域、対電極及び上記電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域及び上記対電極の間に配置された電解質を含むことを特徴とする人工筋肉パッチ。 - 少なくとも1つのバリア層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 外側のメッシュ層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項28記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 上記1つ以上のアクティブ部材は、非線形の形状に構成されていることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 複数のアクティブ部材が上に配設された少なくとも2つの基板層を備えることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。

- 上記基板層上には、上記1つ以上のアクティブ部材と上記電源との間を電気的に接続する為の導電配線が配設されていることを特徴とする請求項32記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 上記基板層は、導電層であることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 上記制御ユニットは、電源と、スイッチとを備えることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 上記制御ユニットは、電源とコンピュータとを備えることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータ、制御ユニット及び患者の鼓動を検出する為のセンサを含む人工筋肉パッチであって、
上記制御ユニットは、電気的に上記複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータを制御して上記人工筋肉パッチを収縮又は拡張させ、
上記パッチは患者の心臓に隣接して設置され、
上記センサは上記制御ユニットと接続し、
上記制御ユニットは、上記鼓動に応じて上記電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータの収縮及び拡張をペーシングし、
上記パッチの上記複数の電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータが、基板層、上記基板層上に配置された導電性ポリマを含む電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域、対電極及び上記電場応答性ポリマアクティブ領域及び上記対電極の間に配置された電解質を含むことを
特徴とする人工筋肉パッチ。 - 上記制御ユニットは、上記電場応答性ポリマアクチュエータの収縮及び拡張に加えて、更に心臓をペーシングすることを特徴とする請求項37記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 上記電場応答性ポリマは、ポリピロールであることを特徴とする請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
- 鬱血性心不全の治療のための請求項27記載の人工筋肉パッチ。
