Description
吸入器は、患者の肺に薬品を送り届けるために用いられる。一般的に、吸入器は、薬品粒子と空気または推進ガスとの混合物を内部に含むか、提供する。混合物は、患者の吸入動作によって、空気または推進ガスが薬品粒子を患者の肺の中に運ぶ形で吸入器のマウスピースから送り届けられる。
引き剥がしストリップがフォームパックレイヤーから引き離されると、各ブリスタにおいてディスク形のカバー部分がカバーレイヤーから切り取られ、引き剥がしストリップの側に残る。効果的な構成として、ブリスタには乾燥粉末または液体が入れられている。
第3の側面において、ブリスタ開けシステムは呼気駆動式である。患者またはユーザが気流経路に接続された吸入器のマウスピースを吸入すると、ブリスタ開けシステムは自動的にブリスタを開ける。吸入器をリセットし、マウスピースを再度吸入しない限り、それ以上ブリスタが開けられることはない。したがって、(1回の吸入において)不注意にも複数ドーズ分が提供される可能性は少なくなる。
第5の側面において、ブリスタ開けシステムでは、テープの引き剥がし/引っ張りストリップにのみ力を加える。これによって、テープのうち実際にドーズの周囲に密封状態を形成している他のレイヤーまたはストリップが損傷される可能性は排除される。
第6の側面において、ドーズを密封しているレイヤーまたはストリップには、ブリスタ開けシステムがテープを進めるために用いられる穴または開口部がない。これにより、コンパクトなテープデザインが実現される。
本発明は、改良型のドーズテープ乾燥粉末吸入器を提供することを目的とする。
ここからは、図面を参照する。図1、2、そして3に示すように、吸入器20は、上側ハウジング24と下側ハウジング26とによって形成された吸入ハウジング22を有する。ダストキャップ30は、図1に示す閉位置から図3に示す開位置までピボット運動することが可能である。閉位置においては、ダストキャップ30のうち上部アーム34と下部アーム36とによって支持されたカップ部分32が、マウスピース28を覆う。
図4、5、および6を参照する。テープ進め/開けシステム58は、呼気フラップ組立物110を有し、当該組立物は、ピボット運動する形で下側ハウジング26に支持されているピボット柱116と結合または一体化された呼気壁112と下側プレート114とを有する。
ブリスタ160から放出された薬品粉末162は、ブリスタ開け位置174の上を通るか、そこを通り過ぎる気流と一緒に移動する。粉末および気体は、入り口ダクト46を通ってチャンバ42に流れ込む。空気/粉末混合物は、接線で接する形またはコード状に、円形またはドーナツ形のチャンバに入っていく。粉末/空気混合物とビーズ44とは、チャンバ42の内部で高速円運動する。この運動によって、粉末162は分散またはエアゾール化し、さらに、当該粉末162に賦形剤またはキャリア粒子が使用された場合、有効薬品粒子をそれらから分離するのに役立つ。
ラチェット88とローディングカム102との結合は、ラチェット88がダストキャップ30の運動によって第2の方向、すなわち図9においては反時計回りにのみ回ることを可能にする。ダストキャップ30の開け運動によってカム88が回ることはない。カム88は、ダストキャップ30が閉じられる際、反時計回りに回転する。しかし、ラチェット88のラチェットアーム94は内向きに曲がっており、ドライブスプール76のラチェット歯82の上をスライド移動するため、ドライブスプール76は動かない。したがって、図4に示すリセットステップにおいて、ダストキャップ30が閉位置に戻る際、ドライブスプール76、キャプスタン70、そしてテープ150は動かない。

間隔を空けて置かれた複数のブリスタ(160)を含む細長いブリスタテープ(150)であって、当該ブリスタにはそれぞれ1ドーズ分の乾燥粉末薬品(162)が入れられている、という細長いブリスタテープと、
細長いブリスタテープのブリスタを順次開け、各ブリスタのドーズを気流経路に放出するためのブリスタ開け手段(58)と、そして、
拡散チャンバ内に接続するマウスピース(28)であって、吸入器のユーザがマウスピースを吸入すると、ブリスタ開け手段は自動的に駆動されてブリスタを開ける、というマウスピースと、
