Description
実施例において図面が言及されているが、図1は錠剤コアの平面図、図2は図1のA−Aに沿った断面図、図3〜5は実施例5〜7で得られた色分離を示す塗装錠剤の平面図である。
両面が半径10mmの球面(凸状)である直径10mmの錠剤を用いる。錠剤の一方の面には、1辺が約1mmの正方形断面を持つ直角の溝により、簡単なパターンが形成されている。溝の両側面が平行で、かつ、錠剤表面と実質的に直交するように、溝はカットされている。溝底面の合計面積は、錠剤各表面の面積の5%以下である。このような錠剤の全面を、40μクーロン/gの電荷をもつ青色粒子と15μクーロン/gの電荷をもつ赤色粒子の混合物を用いて、静電塗布を行った。採用した静電塗布法は、前記の欧州特許公開第0824344号(国際公開第WO96/35413号)および欧州特許公開第0869847号(国際公開第WO96/35516号)に記載の技術である。粉体を溶融した後の錠剤の表面は鈍い赤色で、溝部分は青色に明確に識別できた。溝底面が青色であることは、青色粒子が溝領域に優先的に引き付けられたことを明示した。表面の鈍い赤色は、
赤色粒子がこの部分では支配的ではあるが、青色によりある程度影響があったことを示している。
上記赤色粒子に代えて25μクーロン/gの電荷をもつ黄色粒子を用いて、実施例1を繰り返した。結果は、溝底面が明確に青色に着色した点で、実施例1と同様であったが、この場合の上面は、この部分において黄色と青色の粒子が良くバランスして混合したためグレーを呈した。この理由は、赤色と青色の粒子に印加した電荷の差(25μクーロン/g)と比較して、黄色と青色の粒子に印加した電荷の差が小さかった(15μクーロン/g)ためである。
個々の溝に代えて多数の個々のくぼみを設けた錠剤をもちいて、実施例1および2の手順を繰り返した。これらの実施例においても、各くぼみ底面に青色が集中する一方、上面が均一な鈍い赤色または灰色となり、実質的に同様な結果となった。
下記の粉体組成物を用いて錠剤コアを作成した。
リン酸水素カルシウム(無水) 95%
澱粉グリコール酸ナトリウム 4%
ステアリン酸マグネシウム 1%
上記粉体を、パターン化した平坦パンチで圧縮して、直径10mm、厚さ4.0mm、硬さ10〜15kPaの錠剤を作成した。得られた錠剤は、図1および2に示すように、4つの異なる深さを持つ、3種の異なる形状のくぼみを有するものであった。これらの形状は、直径0.5mmの円形2と、1辺が1.8mmの正方形4と、1辺が0.5mmの正方形6であった。各正方形の角は丸められていた(図1)。くぼみの深さは、図2の断面図に示すように、0.1、0.2、0.4および0.6mmであった。これらの錠剤コアを実施例5〜8で用いた。
下記の粉体組成物を作成した。
(平均粒径(D50)6μmの黄色粉体)
オイドラギットE100 85%
2酸化チタン 10%
リボフラビン 5%(黄色)
(平均粒径(D50)12μmの青色粉体)
オイドラギットE100 85%
2酸化チタン 10%
インジゴカーマインレーキ 5%(青色)
下記の粉体組成物を作成した。
(平均粒径(D50)6μmの赤色粉体)
オイドラギットE100 85%
2酸化チタン 10%
ポンソー(Ponceau)4Rレーキ 5%(赤色)
現像場周波数を1250Hzとした以外は同様にして、実施例6の粉体組成物を同様な条件下で塗布した。その結果、0.6mmのくぼみにおいて色分離が最もはっきりと認められた。錠剤の着色を図5に示す。斜線部は赤色を表し、非斜線部は黄色を表す。
本実施例においては、組成が全く異なるため異なる帯電を示す2種の粉体を混合した。これらの粉体の粒度分布は同一である。各粉体の平均粒径(D50)は12μmであった。
ストロンチウムフェライトキャリアFCX6367(キナール;48μm)に下記の各粉体を5質量%加えた。

インジゴカーマインレーキ 5%(青色)
(赤色粉体)
PVP−VA S630 63.5%
PEG3000 4%
E100 20%
2酸化チタン 10%

Claims (11)
- 表面外形が高い部分と低い部分を持つように形成されている錠剤の表面に着色パターンを形成すべく、錠剤の表面を塗装する方法であって、該表面に2つの異なる色の粒子を静電的に付着させ、付着した粉体を溶融させることからなるとともに、一方の色の粒子は他方の色の粒子とは異なるレベルに帯電されるかまたは異なる粒径を持ち、その結果、高く帯電した粒子または大きい粒径の粒子が、低い部分に優先的に付着して外層を形成し、低い部分と高い部分とが異なる色を持つ層を形成することを特徴とする錠剤の塗装方法。
- 前記錠剤は薬剤ユニット投与形態である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 高い部分と低い部分との間の深さが少なくとも0.4mmである、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 高い部分と低い部分との境界部が垂直もしくは実質的に垂直である、請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記表面外形が、パターン、文字、数字、言葉、ロゴまたはこれらの組み合わせを形成する、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 一方の色の粒子の平均粒径が他方の色の粒子の平均粒径よりも少なくとも6μm異なる、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 一方の色の粒子の平均粒径が他方の色の粒子の平均粒径よりも少なくとも12μm異なる、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 一方の色の粒子と他方の色の粒子との帯電差が少なくとも15μクーロン/gである、請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 一方の色の粒子と他方の色の粒子との帯電差が少なくとも25μクーロン/gである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 静電的付着における現像場が交流成分を持つ、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 現像場が1〜7kVであり、周波数が500〜4000Hzである、請求項10に記載の方法。
