下部モールドの上面には,樹脂を注入して流通させる直線状の第1ランナーと,第1ランナーに連結され,樹脂を所定の方向に導く,少なくとも1つの第1ゲートと,各々の第1ゲートに連結され,第1ランナーと並行して位置し,外装缶と保護回路基板とが間隙を有して受容される第1キャビティと,が形成され,
上部モールドの下面には,第1ランナーの位置及び形状に対応する第2ランナーと,第1ゲートの位置及び形状に対応する少なくとも1つの第2ゲートと,第1キャビティの位置及び形状に対応する第2キャビティと,が形成されることを特徴とする二次電池用モールドが提供される。
陽極端子と陰極端子とを保護回路基板に電気的に連結するステップと,外装缶と保護回路基板とが,間隙を有して受容されるキャビティを有し,キャビティの一側に間隙に樹脂を充填するゲートが形成され,ゲートに樹脂を流通させるランナーが形成されたモールドを提供するステップと,モールドのキャビティに,ゲートが間隙の端部に連通するように外装缶及び保護回路基板を配置し,安着させるステップと,ランナーに樹脂を注入し,ゲートを通して樹脂をキャビティの間隙に注入するステップと,を含むことを特徴とする二次電池のモールディング方法が提供される。ここで,外装缶の前面とは,保護回路基板と対向する面のことである。

Claims (5)
- 外装缶と保護回路基板とが間隙を有して電気的に連結され,前記外装缶の前記保護回路基板と相対する面には,前記相対する面の長手方向のいずれか一方に形成される安全弁と,陽極端子と,陰極端子とが構成される二次電池の前記間隙を樹脂で充填する,二次電池のモールディング方法において;
前記外装缶と前記保護回路基板とを受容するための,短辺と長辺とを有する長方形で形成されるキャビティに,電気的に連結された前記外装缶と前記保護回路基板とを配置し,安着させるステップと,
前記キャビティの長辺と平行して直線状に形成されるランナーに樹脂を注入し,前記ランナーおよび前記キャビティに連結されるゲートを通して,前記安全弁が形成された側から,前記第1キャビティに安着された前記外装缶と前記保護回路基板との間隙に前記樹脂を注入することにより、前記樹脂を前記外装缶の安全弁,前記陰極端子,及び前記陽極端子を順次に接着しながら流通させるステップと,
を含むことを特徴とする二次電池のモールディング方法。 - 前記外装缶の安全弁は,前記陰極端子とゲートとの間に位置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の二次電池のモールディング方法。
- 前記外装缶の安全弁とゲートとの間の距離は,前記陰極端子とゲートとの間の距離より相対的に近くなることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の二次電池のモールディング方法。
- 前記樹脂を注入するステップの後,前記ゲートと相対する部分の前記樹脂には,樹脂注入の痕跡が残存することを特徴とする請求項1,2または3のいずれかに記載の二次電池のモールディング方法。
- 前記外装缶の前記安全弁と前記保護回路基板との間には,更に絶縁紙が介在していることを特徴とする請求項1,2,3または4に記載の二次電池のモールディング方法。
