Description
請求項4に記載の発明によれば、排気系温度は上流側に設けられた他の排気浄化触媒近傍の温度であるので、当該排気浄化触媒の温度を適切な値に維持することができる。
[第1の実施形態]
図1は、本発明の一実施形態にかかる内燃機関及びその制御装置の構成を示す図である。内燃機関(以下単に「エンジン」という)1は、シリンダ内に燃料を直接噴射するディーゼルエンジンであり、各気筒に燃料噴射弁6が設けられている。燃料噴射弁6は、電子制御ユニット(以下「ECU」という)5に電気的に接続されており、燃料噴射弁6の開弁時間及び開弁時期は、ECU5により制御される。
ステップS11では、SOx除去フラグFDeSOxまたはDPF再生フラグFReDPFの何れかが「1」であるか否かを判別する。SOx除去フラグFDeSOxは以下のように設定される。図示しない処理により、リーンNOx触媒22に堆積したSOx量の推定値(以下「推定SOx量」という)MSOxをエンジン運転状態に応じて算出し、推定SOx量MSOxが所定上限SOx量MSOxTHHに達すると、SOx除去フラグFDeSOxは「1」に設定される。またSOx除去処理が実行されるとその実行時間及びエンジン運転状態に応じて推定SOx量MSOxの減算処理が行われ、推定SOx量MSOxが所定下限SOx量MSOxTHLに達すると、SOx除去フラグFDeSOxは「0」に戻される。
図4は本発明の第2の実施形態にかかるDPF再生処理とSOx除去処理の切換制御の手順を示すフローチャートである。本実施形態は、DPF再生処理の実行時間(以下「DPF再生時間」という)TReDPF及びSOx除去処理の実行時間(以下「SOx除去時間」という)TDeSOxをそれぞれ、処理開始時における触媒温度TCATに応じて設定するようにしたものである。以下に説明する点以外は第1の実施形態と同一である。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気系に設けられたNOx浄化手段及びパティキュレートフィルタを備える内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記排気系の温度を検出する温度検出手段と、
前記機関の排気が還元雰囲気となるように還元剤を前記排気系に供給することにより、前記NOx浄化手段に蓄積した硫黄酸化物を除去する処理を行う硫黄酸化物除去手段と、
前記温度検出手段により検出される排気系温度を目標温度と一致させる温度制御を実行することにより、前記パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレートを燃焼させる再生処理を行う再生手段と、
前記硫黄酸化物の除去処理及びパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理の少なくとも一方を行う必要があると判定されたときに、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段及び前記再生手段が交互に作動するように切換制御を行う切換制御手段とを備え、
前記切換制御手段は、前記再生手段の作動中において、前記排気系温度が前記目標温度近傍の所定制御範囲内にある状態が所定時間継続したときに前記再生手段の作動を停止させ、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段の作動を開始させ、
前記硫黄酸化物除去手段の作動中において前記排気系温度が所定限界範囲を逸脱したときに、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段の作動を停止させ、前記再生手段の作動を開始させることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 内燃機関の排気系に設けられたNOx浄化手段及びパティキュレートフィルタを備える内燃機関の排気浄化装置において、
前記排気系の温度を検出する温度検出手段と、
前記NOx浄化手段に蓄積した硫黄酸化物を除去する処理を行う硫黄酸化物除去手段と、
前記パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレートを燃焼させる再生処理を行う再生手段と、
前記硫黄酸化物の除去処理及びパティキュレートフィルタの再生処理の少なくとも一方を行う必要があると判定されたときに、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段及び前記再生手段が交互に作動するように切換制御を行う切換制御手段とを備え、
前記切換制御手段は、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段を作動させる第1の時間、及び前記再生手段を作動させる第2の時間を前記温度検出手段により検出される排気系温度に応じて設定し、該設定した時間に亘って、前記硫黄酸化物除去手段及び前記再生手段をそれぞれ作動させ、
前記第1の時間は、前記排気系温度が高くなるほど長くなるように設定され、前記第2の時間は、前記排気系温度が高くなるほど短くなるように設定されることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 前記排気系温度は、前記NOx浄化手段近傍の温度であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
- 前記機関の排気系の、前記NOx浄化手段及びパティキュレートフィルタの上流側にはさらに排気浄化触媒が設けられており、
前記排気系温度は、前記排気浄化触媒近傍の温度であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
