Description
本発明は、ヘッド・マスの一方の部分にはネジを切ったスリーブを有し、ヘッド・マスの他方の部分には違った材料からできた外側ハウジングを有するスリーブ付きの超音波トランスデューサに係る。ヘッド・マスは二つの部分から成るので、別々の材料で作ることができ、違った特性や機能を持つように最適化できる。外側ハウジングは、ヒート・シンク性能、そして/あるいは振動エネルギの伝達特性を高めることができるアルミニウムまたはセラミックを使用するのが望ましい一方、ネジを切ったスリーブは、ボルトとネジを切った伸張部分と螺合させ、優れたネジ強度を持たせることができるチタニウムのような金属を使用することが望ましい。この二つのコンポーネントを上手く組み合わせることにより、優れた超音波トランスデューサを提供することができる。

Claims (4)
- 一つまたは複数のディスク状圧電結晶であって、各当該圧電結晶が所定の内径を有する軸方向の穴を備えた圧電結晶と、
当該圧電結晶の一方の面に配置されたテイル・マスであって、当該テイル・マスが当該圧電結晶の所定の内径内に配置されるネジ部を備えるテイル・マスと、
当該圧電結晶のテイル・マスとは反対側の面に配置されたヘッド・マスであって、当該ヘッド・マスが当該圧電結晶の所定の内径内に配置されるネジ部を備えるヘッド・マスとから成り、
テイル・マスとヘッド・マスの当該ネジ部が螺合し、テイル・マスとヘッド・マスの間で圧電結晶を圧縮するものであって、
テイル・マスとヘッド・マスのネジ部が螺合する部分が、当該圧電結晶の内径内に配置される
ことを特徴とする超音波トランスデューサ。 - 前記ヘッド・マスと前記テイル・マスとがチタニウムから作られていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された超音波トランスデューサ。
- 前記圧電結晶と前記ヘッド・マスの間に配置されたシリコンカーバイドから作られた円環状ディスクを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された超音波トランスデューサ。
- 前記圧電結晶と前記テイル・マスの間に配置された酸化アルミニウムから作られた円環状ディスクを更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載された超音波トランスデューサ。
