Description
本発明の第1の態様によると、流体を噴射する噴射口が形成された噴射面を有する噴射ヘッドと、前記噴射面と所定のギャップを介して対向するように配置され、前記噴射口から噴射された前記流体が供給される検出部を有し、前記噴射口から噴射された前記流体に応じた検出信号を出力する検出装置と、前記検出信号に基づいて、前記流体の粘度に関する情報を取得する処理装置と、基準時からの経過時間を計測し、該計測値を出力する計測装置と、前記噴射ヘッドをメンテナンス可能なメンテナンス装置と、前記計測装置から出力される計測値に応じて、前記メンテナンス装置を制御する制御装置と、を備え、前記計測装置は、前記処理装置で取得した情報に応じて、前記出力する計測値を変更する流体噴射装置が提供される。
第1実施形態について説明する。図1は、第1実施形態に係る流体噴射装置の一例を示す斜視図、図2は、平面図である。本実施形態においては、流体噴射装置が、インク等の液体(液状体)を噴射する液体噴射装置(液状体噴射装置)である場合を例にして説明する。本実施形態においては、流体噴射装置が、記録ヘッドの噴射口から記録媒体にインクを噴射して、その記録媒体に対する記録を実行するインクジェット式記録装置である場合を例にして説明する。本実施形態においては、インクジェット式記録装置の一例として、記録媒体である記録紙にインクの滴を吐出(噴射)して、その記録紙に対する記録を実行するインクジェットプリンタについて説明する。
次に、第2実施形態について説明する。以下の説明において、上述の第1実施形態と同一又は同等の構成部分については同一の符号を付し、その説明を簡略若しくは省略する。
Claims (1)
- 流体を噴射する噴射口が形成された噴射面を有する噴射ヘッドと、
前記噴射面と所定のギャップを介して対向するように配置され、前記噴射口から噴射された前記流体が供給される検出部を有し、前記噴射面と前記検出部との間に電界を与えて、前記噴射口から前記検出部に前記流体が移動するときの静電誘導に基づく電圧値の時間的変化を検出信号として出力する検出装置と、
前記噴射ヘッドの噴射口より前記流体を排出させるメンテナンス処理を実行可能で、前記噴射口より排出する前記流体の排出量が互いに異なる複数のモードを備えたメンテナンス装置と、
粘度が増大する前の流体に基づいて前記検出装置から出力される基準信号の電圧値の極大値と、前記検出信号の電圧値の極大値との比に基づいて前記流体の粘度に関する粘度情報を取得し、前記粘度情報に基づいて、前記複数のモードから特定のモードを選択し、該選択したモードで前記メンテナンス装置を制御する制御装置と、を備えた流体噴射装置。
