Claims (10)
- エンジンバルブアセンブリであって、
バルブシート(50)と、
前記バルブシート(50)に対し開位置と閉位置との間で動くように構成されたエンジンバルブ要素(40)と、
前記エンジンバルブ要素を開位置に移動させるように適合されている機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)と、
前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)を開位置に保持するように適合されている流体駆動式アクチュエータ(70)と、
開位置に向かう前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)の移動中に、前記流体駆動式アクチュエータ(70)を作動させる加圧液(84)の流れを前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)に通し、閉位置に向かう前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)の移動中に、前記加圧液(84)を前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)内に維持するように構成された制御バルブ(88)と、
を備え、
前記流体駆動式アクチュエータ(70)は、アクチュエータシリンダ(72)内で往復運動するように配置されたアクチュエータピストン(74)を含み、前記アクチュエータピストン(74)は、動作可能に関連するロッド(78)を有し、
前記アクチュエータピストン(74)は、前記機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記バルブ要素(40)が開位置に移動されているときに、前記ロッド(78)を移動させて前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)を開位置に保持するように適合されることを特徴とするエンジンバルブアセンブリ。 - 前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)は、前記制御バルブ(88)を通して、加圧液源(84)と流体連通していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ。
- 前記加圧液源(84)は、内燃エンジン(20)の潤滑油システム(84)であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ。
- 前記加圧液源(84)は100ポンド/平方インチ未満の大きさの圧力を有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ。
- 前記エンジンバルブ要素(48)に備えられ、前記エンジンバルブ要素(48)を閉位置に向かって付勢するバネ(56)を含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ。
- 前記流体駆動式アクチュエータ(70)は、前記機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)が開位置に移動されているときに、前記ロッド(78)と前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)との間の隙間を除去することによって、前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)を開位置に保持することを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれかに記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ。
- バルブシート(50)と、前記バルブシート(50)に対し開位置と閉位置との間で動くように構成されたエンジンバルブ要素(40)と、前記エンジンバルブ要素を開位置に移動させるように適合されている機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)と、を含む内燃エンジンに備えられるエンジンバルブアクチュエータであって、
前記エンジンバルブアクチュエータは、アクチュエータシリンダ(72)内で往復運動するように配置されたアクチュエータピストン(74)を含み、前記アクチュエータピストン(74)は、動作可能に関連するロッド(78)を有し、
前記エンジンバルブアクチュエータは、開位置に向かう前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)の移動中に、前記アクチュエータピストン(74)を作動させる加圧液(84)の流れを前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)に通し、閉位置に向かう前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)の移動中に、前記加圧液を前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)内に維持するように構成された制御バルブ(88)を含み、
前記アクチュエータピストン(74)は、前記機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)が開位置に移動されているときに前記ロッド(78)を移動させて、前記エンジンバルブ要素(40)を開位置に保持するように適合されることを特徴とするエンジンバルブアクチュエータ。 - 請求項1から6のいずれかに記載のエンジンバルブアセンブリ、または請求項7に記載のエンジンバルブアクチュエータを含むことを特徴とする内燃エンジン。
- 少なくとも1つのバルブ(32)を有するエンジン(20)を制御する方法であって、
機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記バルブ(32)を開位置に移動するステップと、
前記機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記バルブ(32)が開位置に移動されているときに、流体ロック式アクチュエータ(70)によって前記バルブ(32)を開位置に保持するステップと、
を含み、
前記流体ロック式アクチュエータ(70)は、内部にアクチュエータピストン(74)が往復運動するように配置されたアクチュエータシリンダ(72)を含み、
前記バルブ(32)を開位置に保持するステップは、開位置に向かう前記バルブ(32)の移動中に、前記アクチュエータピストン(74)を作動させる加圧液(84)の流れを前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)に通す工程と、閉位置に向かう前記バルブ(32)の移動中に、前記加圧液を前記アクチュエータシリンダ(72)内に維持する工程と、を含む
ことを特徴とするエンジンの制御方法。 - 前記保持ステップは、前記機械的被駆動アクチュエータ(58)によって前記バルブ(32)が開位置に移動されているときに、前記アクチュエータピストン(74)が前記ロッド(78)を移動させることによって、前記バルブ(32)を開位置に保持することを特徴とする請求項9に記載のエンジンの制御方法。
