Description
図1は,本実施形態にかかる燃料電池システムを示した概略図である。また,図2は,本実施形態にかかるスタックを示した分解斜視図である。
正極反応:H2→2H++2e−
負極反応:1/2O2+2H++2e−→H2O
全体反応:H2+1/2O2→H2O+電流+熱
図5に示されたアライナー40は,前述のように,突起部42と凹溝部44を含む構成からなる。このとき,セパレータ16の縁部に形成される突起部42は,前述のように,セパレータ16と一体に形成されておらず,別途形成されてセパレータ16の縁部に付着されている構成となっている。
次に,図6Aおよび図6Bに示されたアライナー50は,セパレータ16の上面に形成される突起部52とセパレータ16の下面に形成される凹溝部54とは,各々,上述のセパレータ16のように,セパレータ16の縁に沿って,一体となるように繋がって形成されてはいない。本変形例にかかる突起部52と凹溝部54のように,例えば,セパレータ16の4つの隅角部(コーナー部)にあたる部分に突起部52と凹溝部54とを形成せず,所定の間隔をおいてセパレータ16の各辺に沿って分割して形成することもできる。なお,便宜上,図6Aおよび図6Bにおいて,セパレータ16上に形成される流路チャンネル17の記載を省略した。
また,図7Aおよび図7Bに示されたアライナー60は,セパレータ16の上面に形成される突起部62とセパレータ16の下面に形成される凹溝部64とを,各々セパレータ16の隅角部(コーナー部)に形成されている。つまり,突起部62と突起部62に対応する凹溝部64とがセパレータ16に部分的に位置して形成される場合である。この形成位置は必ずしも隅角部に限定されず,セパレータ16の縁部に沿ったいずれの部位にも形成可能である。さらに,このとき,突起部62と凹溝部64は,セパレータ16の縁部に沿って規則的または非規則的に所定の間隔をおいて複数に形成することも可能である。なお,図7Aおよび図7Bにおいても,セパレータ16上に形成される流路チャンネル17の記載を省略した。
そして,図8に示されたアライナー70は,セパレータ16の上面縁部に第1の突起部72と第1の凹溝部74とを各々形成している。また,セパレータ16の下面縁には第1の突起部72と第1の凹溝部74にそれぞれ対応する第2の凹溝部72’と第2の突起部74’とが形成されている。このように,セパレータ16の一の面に,突起部と凹溝部とを形成してもよい。
図9は,本実施形態にかかるアライナーによって構成されたスタックを示した部分断面図である。

Claims (11)
- 膜−電極接合体と,前記膜−電極接合体が設置されるセパレータと,を含む電気発生部を複数積層してなる燃料電池システムのスタックであって,
前記セパレータの少なくとも一部分に線状に配置され,前記電気発生部を互いに結合して整列させる整列手段を含み,
前記整列手段は,隣接する前記セパレータの一の面に形成された凹溝部および前記一の面に対向する面に形成された凹溝部に嵌合して結合され、前記膜−電極接合体とは分離して設けられたスペーサであることを特徴とする,燃料電池システムのスタック。 - 前記整列手段は,前記セパレータの縁部に沿って形成されることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。
- 前記整列手段は,一体に繋がって形成されることを特徴とする,請求項2に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。
- 前記整列手段は,分割されて間隔をおいて形成されることを特徴とする,請求項2に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。
- 前記整列手段は,直線状に形成されることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。
- 前記膜−電極接合体と前記セパレータとの間に,ガスケットが設置されることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。
- 前記セパレータは,
カーボングラファイト,炭素複合材,または金属のうちのいずれか一つの材質で形成されていることを特徴とする,請求項1に記載の燃料電池システムのスタック。 - 水素と酸素との電気化学的な反応によって電気を発生させるスタックと;
前記スタックに燃料を供給する燃料供給部と;
前記スタックに空気を供給する空気供給部と;を含み,
前記スタックは,膜−電極接合体と,前記膜−電極接合体が設置されるセパレータと,を含む電気発生部を複数積層してなり,
前記セパレータの少なくとも一部分に線状に配置され,前記電気発生部を互いに結合して整列させる整列手段を含み,
前記整列手段は,隣接する前記セパレータの一の面に形成された凹溝部および前記一の面に対向する面に形成された凹溝部に嵌合して結合され、前記膜−電極接合体とは分離して設けられたスペーサであることを特徴とする,燃料電池システム。 - 前記燃料供給部と前記スタックとの間に改質器が配置され,
前記改質器は,前記燃料供給部から供給された燃料を改質して水素を含むガスを生成し,前記ガスを前記スタックに供給することを特徴とする,請求項8に記載の燃料電池システム。 - 高分子電解質型燃料電池方式であることを特徴とする,請求項9に記載の燃料電池システム。
- 直接メタノール型燃料電池方式であることを特徴とする,請求項8に記載の燃料電池システム。
