Description
(磁石素体)
(保護層)
[希土類磁石の製造]
粉末冶金法により、組成が13.2Nd−1.5Dy−77.6Fe−1.6Co−6.1B(数字は原子百分率を表す。)である鋳塊を作製し、これを粗粉砕した。その後、不活性ガスによるジェットミル粉砕を行って、平均粒径約3.5μmの微粉末を得た。得られた微粉末を金型内に充填し、磁場中で成形した。次いで、真空中で焼結後、熱処理を施して焼結体を得た。得られた焼結体を35mm×19mm×6.5mmの寸法に切り出し加工し、実用形状に加工した磁石素体を得た。次に、得られた磁石素体を2%HNO3水溶液中に2分間浸漬する酸洗浄を行い、その後超音波水洗を施した。
まず、実施例1と同様にして、磁石素体を得た後、酸洗浄及び超音波水洗を施した。それから、この酸洗浄(酸処理)を施した磁石素体を、酸素分圧70hPa(酸素濃度7%)の酸素−窒素混合雰囲気中、450℃で8分間の熱処理を行った。
樹脂組成物に、ホウ酸及び四ホウ酸ナトリウムを含む混合物を添加しなかったこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして希土類磁石を得た。この希土類磁石は、保護層として樹脂層のみを備えるものであった。

[特性評価]
実施例1〜2及び比較例1〜2の希土類磁石に対して、121℃、2atm(0.203MPa)、100%RHの環境下に500時間放置するPCT処理を行うプレッシャー・クッカー・テストを行った。この際、PCT処理前後において磁束を測定した。そして、PCT処理前の値に対するPCT処理後の磁束の劣化(磁束劣化)を測定した。その結果、実施例1の希土類磁石では磁束劣化は0.2%であり、実施例2の希土類磁石では磁束劣化は0.1%であった。一方、比較例1の希土類磁石では磁束劣化が0.7%であり、比較例2の希土類磁石では磁束劣化が0.5%であった。
Claims (10)
- 金属磁石素体と、該金属磁石素体の表面上に形成された保護層と、を備え、
前記保護層は、樹脂及び添加剤を含有する樹脂層を有しており、
前記添加剤は、塩基とその塩とを組み合わせた混合物であり、且つ、水に溶解したとき、0.01mol/L〜5mol/Lの合計濃度でpH7以上11以下の緩衝作用を生じる緩衝溶液を与えるものである、
ことを特徴とする磁石。 - 前記添加剤は、アンモニアとアンモニウム塩との組み合わせ、炭酸ナトリウムと炭酸水素ナトリウムの組み合わせ、ホウ酸とホウ酸ナトリウムとの組み合わせ、又はリン酸二水素ナトリウムとリン酸水素二ナトリウムとの組み合わせであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の磁石。
- 前記保護層は、前記金属磁石素体と前記樹脂層との間に、希土類元素及び/又は遷移元素と、酸素原子と、を含む内部保護層を更に有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の磁石。
- 前記内部保護層は、前記金属磁石素体を覆い希土類元素を含有する第1の層、及び、前記第1の層を覆い前記第1の層よりも希土類元素の含有量が少ない第2の層からなることを特徴とする請求項3記載の磁石。
- 前記第2の層における希土類元素の含有量は、前記第1の層における希土類元素の含有量の半分以下であることを特徴とする請求項4記載の磁石。
- 前記第2の層は、遷移元素及び酸素を含有することを特徴とする請求項4又は5記載の磁石。
- 前記金属磁石素体は、希土類元素及び希土類元素以外の遷移元素を含むものであり、
前記第1の層は、前記希土類元素、前記遷移元素及び酸素を含有し、
前記第2の層は、前記遷移元素及び酸素を含有し、且つ、前記第1の層よりも前記希土類元素の含有量が少ないことを特徴とする請求項4〜6のいずれか一項に記載の磁石。 - 前記第1の層における前記希土類元素、前記第1の層における前記遷移元素、及び、前記第2の層における前記遷移元素は、前記金属磁石素体由来の元素であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の磁石。
- 前記第1の層における前記希土類元素、前記第1の層における前記遷移元素、及び、前記第2の層における前記遷移元素は、前記金属磁石素体の主相を構成する元素であることを特徴とする請求項7記載の磁石。
- 前記第2の層は、希土類元素を実質的に含有しない層であることを特徴とする請求項4〜9のいずれか一項に記載の磁石。
