Description
これ等のラベルには、安全にすべき商店の出口部分に、それに応じて固有周波数に同調させてある送信電磁場の中に進入した時、吸収作用が生じる一つの共振発振回路がある。
この吸収作用は記録され、例えば警報を発するために使用される。同一性を識別する分野では、例えばいわゆる無線周波数の同一性識別(RFID)法が適当なラベル(いわゆるRFIDタグ)を付けた対象物の同一性を識別するためや、アクセス管理のために利用されている。
この場合ラベルは、簡単な一つの共振発振回路だけでなく、むしろ、例えば対象物に固有な吸収特性を設定できるように、一つの共振発振回路が対応するチップに結合されている。このように、ラベルを備えた対象物が送信電磁場内に進入したことを判別できるだけでなく、特有の情報をラベルから直接読み取ることもできる。この情報は、例えば送信電磁場内にある特有の吸収作用から検出できる。
即ち、驚くべきことに、識別されるべき対象物によって引き起こされる妨害は、多くの場合、該ラベルの振動回路と対象物の間にいわゆる容量結合が発生することに起因することが明らかになっている。当該対象物が金属製の構成要素を持っている場合、これは特に生じやすい。この容量結合が発生すると、その結果、振動回路の固有周波数、ないしはラベルの全吸収挙動が狂わされる、すなわち、いわゆる「離調」が起こることになる。さて、この有害な吸収挙動の狂いを、驚くほど簡単な、しかも効率の良い方法で、対象物におけるこの漂遊容量をラベルから遮蔽するか、あるいはその影響を最小化する形で減少せしめること、あるいは除去することさえできるのである。
光データ媒体の場合、漂遊容量は特にデータ媒体の金属製反射層に起因する。すなわち、在来技術のラベルがその種のデータ媒体に添付されるならば、離調のずれが特に強まり、修正不可能になると予想し得るであろう。しかし驚くべきことに、そのような対象物の場合にも、容量結合の遮蔽、もしくはその影響の最小化が可能であることが明らかになっている。
本発明の別の好ましい一実施形態では、容量結合を阻止する(または少なくとも低下させる)ための手段は、ラベルの当該対象物に向いた側に配置された、誘電作用を持つ追加の層として形成されている。特に(好ましい形態がそうであるように)、この層がきわめて小さな誘電率εr、例えばεr が2.5未満の領域内、特に好ましくはεr が2未満の領域内である場合には、所望の効果が非常に簡単に、かつ低コストで得られる。その場合、前記誘電性層は、思いがけないことに、できるだけ低い誘電率を持つ簡単な紙の層であっても良い。層の厚さは好ましくは50-150μm 、特に好ましくは100μm前後の範囲である。
それに対して、チップ内に一体化されているキャパシタンスが50pFを超える値に達することは稀であり、その場合、50pFの場合でさえ、チップ面積のほぼ半分を必要とする。

Claims (7)
- 無線方式で電磁波放射によって識別されるラベルを有する対象物であり、前記ラベルは周波数 10-20 MHzの領域で入力する電磁波信号の受信アンテナを備えた少なくとも一つの共振回路よりなるものであって、
前記対象物は、金属製反射層を備えた光学又は電磁光学的データ媒体であり、
前記ラベルは、読み出しの際の回転に関してアンバランス状態を示さないような態様で前記金属製反射層区域内の前記データ媒体に添付され、
前記ラベルは、前記データ媒体の前記金属反射層から生じる共振特性上の漂遊容量を減じるために、 2.5 より小さい誘電率ε及び 50-150 μ m の範囲内の厚さを有し、かつ、前記データ媒体側に配置された誘電活性層を有することを特徴とする無線方式で電磁波放射によって識別されるラベルを有する対象物。 - 前記対象物は、CD、DVD又はMOであることを特徴とする請求項 1 記載の対象物。
- 前記ラベルは、前記CD、前記DVD又は前記MOの中心穴の周りを取り囲んでいることを特徴とする請求項2記載の対象物。
- 前記誘電活性層は、紙の層である請求項 1 記載の対象物。
- 前記ラベルは、RFIDラベルであって、キャパシタンスが一体化された集積回路よりなり、前記データ媒体の前記金属反射層から生じる共振特性上の漂遊容量を減じるために、前記RFIDラベルは前記集積回路の外部にキャパシタンス活性領域を有することを特徴とする請求項 1 記載の対象物。
- 前記共振回路のインピーダンスは、 200 オームより小さいことを特徴とする請求項1記載の対象物。
- 前記共振回路の全静電容量は、 80-150 pFの範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の対象物。
