Description
(装置構成)
図1は、本発明の第1実施形態による内燃機関の制御装置の概略構成を示す。なお、図1において、実線の矢印は吸排気の流れを示し、破線の矢印は信号の入出力を示す。また、以下の説明では、左右の構成要素を区別する場合には参照符号に添え字「L」又は「R」を付し、左右の構成要素を区別しない場合には添え字を省略する。
次に、第1実施形態による触媒昇温制御について説明する。第1実施形態では、内燃機関の運転状態が、バンク別リッチ/リーン制御(以下、「バンク別RL制御」と記す。)から、ストイキ運転に移行する際に、各バンク2の空燃比を制御するものである。具体的には、バンク別RL制御は、一方のバンク2の空燃比をリッチに設定するとともに、他方のバンク2の空燃比をリーンに設定し、リッチな排気とリーンな排気を共通排気通路8上のUF触媒16で合流させることにより、UF触媒を昇温する。一方、ストイキ運転とは、左右のバンク2の空燃比をともに理論空燃比(ストイキ)に維持して内燃機関を運転することをいう。
次に、第2実施形態について説明する。第2実施形態における内燃機関の制御装置の構成は、図1に示した第1実施形態のものと同様であるので、説明は省略する。
(装置構成)
次に、本発明の第3実施形態について説明する。図6に、第3実施形態による内燃機関の制御装置の概略構成を示す。第3実施形態による内燃機関の制御装置は、基本的な構造は図1に示す第1及び第2実施形態の内燃機関の制御装置と同様であるが、以下の点が異なる。まず、左バンク2Lにはターボチャージャー22が設けられている。これに伴い、吸気通路4はスロットルバルブ11の下流で分岐路4aと4cに分岐している。分岐路4aはターボチャージャー22のコンプレッサ22aを介して通路4bに接続され、通路4bはインタークーラー18に接続されている。一方、右バンク2Rにはターボチャージャーは設けられておらず、分岐路4cが直接インタークーラー18に接続されている。インタークーラー18は、吸気マニホールド5に接続されている。
次に、第3実施形態による触媒昇温制御について説明する。本実施形態では、内燃機関1の運転状態がバンク別RL制御から燃料カットに移行する際には、リーン燃焼バンク側の排気通路7への排気流量を、リッチ燃焼バンク側の排気通路7への排気流量より大きくする。

Claims (1)
- 複数の気筒群を備える内燃機関の制御装置であって、
各気筒群に接続された個別排気通路と、
前記個別排気通路を接続してなる共通排気通路と、
前記個別排気通路上にそれぞれ設けられた第1の触媒と、
前記共通排気通路上に設けられた第2の触媒と、
各気筒群毎に独立に空燃比を制御可能な空燃比制御部と、を備え、
前記空燃比制御部は、1つの気筒群の空燃比をリッチに設定するとともに他の気筒群の空燃比をリーンに設定する気筒群別制御から、全ての気筒群の空燃比を理論空燃比に設定するストイキ制御に切り換えるとき、前記気筒群別制御によりリッチに設定されていた気筒群を所定時間リーンに設定するとともに、前記気筒群別制御によりリーンに設定されていた気筒群を前記所定時間リッチに設定した後、前記ストイキ制御への切り換えを行うことを特徴とする内燃機関の制御装置。
