Description
(i)ガス流から汚染物の少なくとも一部を吸着するためガス流を汚染物の保持について選択的である吸着剤と接触させる工程であって、初期温度において行われる工程、
(ii)工程(i)で吸着された汚染物の少なくとも一部を脱着するため吸着剤を再生温度まで加熱する工程、及び
(iii)新しいサイクルを開始する前に吸着剤を初期温度まで冷却する工程、
を包含する、繰り返し工程サイクルを含む。
(i)ガス流から汚染物の少なくとも一部を吸着するためガス流を汚染物の保持について選択的である吸着剤を収容する容器を通過させる工程であって、初期の高圧において行われる工程、
(ii)工程(i)で吸着された汚染物の少なくとも一部を脱着するため吸着剤収容容器を脱圧する工程、及び
(iii)新しいサイクルを開始する前に吸着剤収容容器を初期の高圧まで再昇圧する工程
を包含する、繰り返し工程サイクルを含む。
(i)ガス流から汚染物の少なくとも一部を吸着するためガス流を汚染物の保持について選択的である吸着剤と接触させる工程であって、初期温度において行われる工程、
(ii)工程(i)で吸着された汚染物の少なくとも一部を脱着するため吸着剤を第1の再生温度まで加熱する工程、及び
(iii)新しいサイクルを開始する前に吸着剤を初期温度まで冷却する工程、
含む、繰り返し工程サイクルを含む温度スイング吸着法に関する。
空気をその構成成分に低温蒸留する前に、NaXゼオライトを一般的に用いて空気から微量のCO2を除去する。商用銘柄のNaXゼオライトの受け入れたままでの典型的な水含有量は1.5wt%である。下記の表1は、商用銘柄のNaXゼオライトの残存水含有量(600℃での重量損失により測定された)を再生温度の関数として示している。この表は、空気(100psig、25℃、空気中400ppmCO2)からの破過により測定された相対平衡CO2容量も示している。
市販のCaXゼオライト(周囲空気からN2Oを除去するのによく用いられる)に対して、例1を繰り返した。CaXはNaXより強く水を吸着するので、その性能は高い再生温度によって更により大きく影響を受ける。
この例では、商用銘柄のCaXゼオライトを種々の窒素流の速度の下で400℃で再生した。再生完了(16時間)後、試料を冷却し、窒素吸着等温線を30℃で測定した。得られた結果を表3に示す。
今回はN2容量ではなくCO2容量を測定したことを除き、上記の例3で説明したのと同じ実験を行った。CO2容量は、400ppm、25℃、及び100psigの空気からのCO2の破過により測定した。結果を表4に示す。
下記の表5は、30℃及び300℃での初期再生後の商用銘柄の活性アルミナについて測定された相対CO2容量を示している。標準的容積の吸着ユニットでCO2容量を測定した。次いで、当該物質を30℃(PSAについての標準的な再生温度)で再活性化し、CO2容量を再測定した。このプロセスを3回繰り返した。表5は、初期の再生に続く、CO2への暴露後における30℃での3回の再生後のアルミナのCO2容量を示している。
今回は、試験した吸着剤が商用銘柄のNaXゼオライトであったことと「標準的な」再生温度がTSA法であることを示す150℃であったことを除き、上記の例5で説明したのと同じ実験を行った。
Claims (13)
- ガス流から汚染物を除去するための温度スイング吸着法であり、
(i)ガス流から汚染物の少なくとも一部を吸着するためガス流を汚染物の保持について選択的である吸着剤と接触させる工程であって、初期温度において行われる工程、
(ii)工程(i)で吸着された汚染物の少なくとも一部を脱着するため吸着剤を第1の再生温度まで加熱する工程、及び
(iii)新しいサイクルを開始する前に吸着剤を初期温度まで冷却する工程、
含む、繰り返し工程サイクルを含む温度スイング吸着法であって、吸着剤を上記第1の再生温度より高い第2の再生温度に定期的に加熱する定期的加熱工程を含むことを特徴とする温度スイング吸着法。 - 前記第1の再生温度が40〜200℃の範囲であり、前記第2の再生温度が200〜400℃の範囲である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の再生温度が前記第1の再生温度より少なくとも50℃高い、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記定期的加熱工程を始動の直前に行う、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記定期的加熱工程を工場の異常の直後に行う、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記定期的加熱工程がCO2破過の限界レベルによって誘起される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記吸着剤がゼオライトを含み、前記汚染物がCO2を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 工程(ii)が前記吸着剤を少なくとも0.1ft/秒の線速度を有する再生ガスの流れと接触させることを必要とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記再生ガスがN2に富む乾燥ガスである、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記汚染物がN2Oを更に含む、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記吸着剤が前記CO2汚染物を除去するためのNaXゼオライトの第1層と、前記N2O汚染物を除去するためのCaXゼオライトの第2層を含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記吸着剤の層が乾燥剤の層の上に重ねられている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 低温空気分離ユニットで後に蒸留してその構成成分にされる、汚染物のない乾燥した気体空気流を製造する、請求項1に記載の方法。
