Claims (7)
- 機器ラックの負荷を調節する機器ラック負荷調節方法であって、
機器ラックの総熱・電力予算を推定すること、
前記ラック機器の負荷に基づいて前記総熱・電力予算を配分すること、
前記総熱・電力予算の前記配分に従って前記ラック機器を動作させること、を含み、
前記機器ラックの総熱・電力予算は、該機器ラックの受動冷却特性によって提供される熱放散と、前記機器ラックの能動冷却機能によって提供される熱放散と、外部冷却支援によって提供される熱放散補助と、に基づいて推定されることを特徴とする機器ラック負荷調節方法。 - 前記負荷予算執行部品は、前記ラック機器に問い合わせ信号を送信することによって、前記機器ラックの負荷の問い合わせを行うことをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記負荷予算執行部品が、前記機器ラックに搭載されたラック機器の数量を検査することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記ラック機器を動作させることは、前記予算の配分に従って前記ラック機器動作に指示するコマンドを発行することを含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 機器ラックの負荷を調節する機器ラック負荷調節システムであって、
データを処理するラック機器と、
前記機器ラックの熱・電力予算に基づいて前記ラック機器の動作を調節するための負荷予算執行部品と、
前記ラック機器と前記負荷予算執行部品とを通信可能に連結し、前記負荷予算執行部品と前記ラック機器との間でデータを通信する、通信バスと、を備え、
前記機器ラックの総熱・電力予算は、該機器ラックの受動冷却特性によって提供される熱放散と、前記機器ラックの能動冷却機能によって提供される熱放散と、外部冷却支援によって提供される熱放散補助と、に基づいて推定されることを特徴とする機器ラック負荷調節システム。 - 前記負荷予算執行部品は、前記ラック機器での消費電力が大きくなるにつれて、消費電力が大きい前記ラック機器への前記熱・電力予算の配分を大きくすることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の機器ラック負荷調節システム。
- 前記負荷予算執行部品は前記ラック機器への電力を増大させる場合に、他のラック機器への電力を低減することで、前記ラック機器の性能レベルと前記熱・電力予算配分の最適な釣り合いをとることを特徴とする、請求項5に記載の機器ラック負荷調節システム。
