Claims (10)
- 機器ラックの負荷を調節する機器ラック負荷調節方法であって、
機器ラックの総熱・電力予算を確定すること、
前記機器ラックに搭載されたラック機器に基づいて前記総熱・電力予算を配分すること、および
前記総熱・電力予算の前記配分に従って前記ラック機器を動作させること
を含む機器ラック負荷調節方法。 - 前記機器ラックの負荷の問合せを行うことをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記機器ラックに搭載されたラック機器の量を検査することをさらに含む、請求項2に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記ラック機器の記述情報を検索することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記ラック機器の熱放散特性に関する情報を検索することをさらに含む、請求項4に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記機器ラックの総熱・電力予算は、該機器ラックの受動冷却特性によって提供される熱放散と、前記機器ラックの能動冷却機能によって提供される熱放散と、外部冷却支援によって提供される熱放散補助と、に基づくことを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 前記ラック機器を動作させることは、前記予算の配分に従って前記ラック機器動作に指示するコマンドを発行することを含む、請求項1に記載の機器ラック負荷調節方法。
- 機器ラックの負荷を調節する機器ラック負荷調節システムであって、
データを処理するラック機器と、
前記機器ラックの熱・電力予算に基づいて前記ラック機器の動作を調節するための負荷予算執行部品と、
前記ラック機器と前記負荷予算執行部品とを通信可能に連結し、前記負荷予算執行部品と前記ラック機器との間でデータを通信する、通信バスと、
を具備する機器ラック負荷調節システム。 - 前記負荷予算執行部品は、前記熱・電力予算に資する前記ラック機器の各々に対して比例して前記熱・電力予算を配分することを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の機器ラック負荷調節システム。
- 前記負荷予算執行部品は、前記ラック機器の性能レベルと前記熱・電力予算配分の最適な釣り合いをとることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の機器ラック負荷調節システム。
