Claims (7)
- ほぼマトリクス状に配置された複数の信号配線及び走査配線、この信号配線及び走査配線の各交差点に設けられたTFTスイッチング素子、このTFTスイッチング素子に接続された櫛歯状の画素電極、この画素電極とかみ合うように形成された櫛歯状の共通電極を有する第1の基板と、第1の基板に対向配置された第2の基板と、第1の基板と第2の基板との間に封入された液晶と、第1及び第2の基板の外側に配置された2枚の偏光板とでIPS液晶表示素子が構成され、このIPS液晶表示素子における前記画素電極と共通電極からなる櫛歯電極及び信号配線が、それぞれ平行する「くの字」状に傾斜して形成されたパターン構造を有するIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターンにおいて、前記「くの字」状に形成された櫛歯電極及び信号配線の外縁形状を階段状の細かい段々で構成したことを特徴とするIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極及び信号配線の外縁形状は、前記段々の角部が平行する前記櫛歯電極間間隔の半分を超えない位置にあることを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極及び信号配線の外縁形状の各段々を構成する2辺は、それぞれ配向方向に対して直交する辺と平行する辺の2辺で構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極及び信号配線は、配向方向に対する傾斜角度を10度以下にしないことを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極及び信号配線は、Cr等の金属材料で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極を透明電極化したことを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
- 前記櫛歯電極及び信号配線の外縁形状は、フォトリソグラフィ技術で形成されていることを特徴とする請求項1記載のIPS液晶表示素子の電極パターン。
