Description
有機又は無機の酸もしくは塩基、塩、添加剤、例えばイオン性又は非イオン性の界面活性剤、ポリマー、高分子電解質又は殺生物剤並びに分散液を安定化させるためか又はその品質もしくは貯蔵安定性を増大させるための他の補助物質。
・湿式化学的方法により酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム;aluminium oxide hydroxides)から製造された分散液と比較して、粒子の表面上の高いカチオン電荷
・分散液の粒径分布は、異なる分散プロセスにより製造される他の熱分解法酸化アルミニウム又は湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)の分散液と比較して、明確な方法で調節されることができる
・湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)を用いて製造された分散液と比較して、高い分散液純度
・他の熱分解法酸化アルミニウム又は湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)の分散液と比較して、分散液内部の正確に制御可能な電解質レベル、その電解質濃度は出発粉末又は分散プロセスの結果としては正確に調節されることができない
・他の熱分解法酸化アルミニウム又は湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)の分散液と比較して、熱分解法酸化アルミニウムの極めて高い表面積
・他の熱分解法酸化アルミニウム又は湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)の分散液と比較して、分散液内部の酸化アルミニウム一次粒子の高度に特徴的な“構造/架橋”
・湿式化学的方法により製造された酸化アルミニウム(オキシ水酸化アルミニウム)の分散液と比較して、分散液中に分配された粒子の高水準の硬さ及び耐摩耗性、その際、一次粒子はあまり硬くない。
(本発明により使用されることができる酸化アルミニウムの製造)
予め蒸発させた三塩化アルミニウム(AlCl3)320kg/hを、水素100Nm3/h及び空気450Nm3/hと一緒に公知の構成のバーナー中で燃焼させる。
例2
(本発明による分散液の製造)
最初に、脱イオン水280 lを、受け器中でプロピオン酸でpH 3.9にする。115m2/gを上回る表面積を有する例1に記載された粉末80kg(酸化アルミニウム20質量%に等価)を、ついで、ローター−ステーター機械を用いて水中へ導入する。全体量の粉末を配合した後、得られた懸濁液を、約60分間に亘り激しくせん断する。
本発明の例2による分散液(VP W 520)の性質。
例3
(インクジェットコーティングの製造)
出発物質:例2による酸化アルミニウム分散液
ポリビニルアルコール Mowiol 40-88 (Clariant、D)
ポエステルフィルム
インクジェットコーティング顔料の配合表及び製造方法:
固体含量12.14%を有するポリビニルアルコール水溶液(Mowiol 40-88、Clariant)を、400mlビーカー中に装入し、若干の水をそれに添加するので、例2による酸化アルミニウム分散液と一緒で、18%の固体含量が得られる。当該の分散液を、5分かけて、ピペットを用いてポリビニルアルコール溶液中へゆっくりと滴加し、その間500rpmで撹拌する。それが添加されたら、撹拌を500rpmでさらに30分間続けて、均質なコーティング顔料が得られる。コーティング顔料を、ついでデシケーター及び水流ポンプを用いて脱気する。対照として、実際の固形物、pH値及び粘度は、コーティング顔料を混合した後に測定する。
100ミクロン(μm)の厚さの未処理のポリエステルフィルムを、Erichsen Film Applicator装置を用いて120ミクロンウェットフィルムスパイラルアプリケーターでコートする。塗布されたコーティング顔料を、熱風乾燥器を用いて乾燥させる。
明らかに、光沢度から、本発明による分散液が、他の方法により製造された分散液よりも、60分間の分散時間後にインクジェットコーティング中でより高い光沢度を生じさせることがわかる。写実的(photo-realistic)コーティングで、高い光沢は、EP 0 732 219に既に開示されているように望ましい。光沢度は、EP 0 732 219におけるものよりも低いが、しかしこれは、インクジェット媒体の製造のための異なる方法のためであり、かつコーティング顔料のためではない。スパイラルアプリケーターは、このテストにおいて光沢へのインクジェットコーティング中の分散の寄与を決定するために意識して使用される。EP 0 732 219において使用されたキャスト−コーティング法で、光沢は主として、方法自体により決定される。
例4(インクジェットコーティングの製造)
出発物質:例2による酸化アルミニウム分散液
ポリビニルアルコール Mowiol 40-88 (Clariant)
インクジェットコーティング顔料の配合表及び製造方法:

マットコートされた110g/m2インクジェット紙(Zweckform no. 2576)を、Erichsen Film Applicator装置を用いて60ミクロンウエットフィルムスパイラルアプリケーターでコートする。塗布されたコーティング顔料を、熱風乾燥器で乾燥させる。
光沢度は明らかに、60分間の分散時間後に、本発明による分散液が、他の方法により製造された分散液よりも、インクジェットコーティング中のより高い光沢度を生じさせることを示している。写実的なコーティングのためには、高い光沢は、EP 0 732 219に既に開示されているように望ましい。光沢度は、EP 0 732 219におけるものよりも低いが、しかしこれは、インクジェット媒体の製造のための異なる方法のためであり、かつコーティング顔料のためではない。スパイラルアプリケーターは、このテストにおいて、光沢へのインクジェットコーティング中の分散の寄与を決定するのに意識して使用される。EP 0 732 219において使用されたキャスト−コーティング法で、光沢は主として、方法自体により決定される。
Claims (8)
- 酸化アルミニウムの分散液において、115m2/gを上回るBET比表面積及び8ml/2gを上回るシアーズ数を有する高表面積の熱分解法により製造された酸化アルミニウムを含有し、かつd 50 <150nmの平均粒径分布(150nm未満のd 50 ;動的光散乱により測定)を有することを特徴とする、酸化アルミニウムの分散液。
- 酸化アルミニウムに加えて、無機酸、有機酸、無機又は有機の塩基、塩、緩衝液系、イオン性又は非イオン性の界面活性剤、高分子電解質、ポリマー又は他の分散剤又は安定剤並びに殺生物剤も含有している、請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウムの分散液。
- 請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液の製造方法において、115m2/gを上回るBET比表面積及び8ml/2gを上回るシアーズ数を有する高表面積の熱分解法により製造された酸化アルミニウムを、水と混合し、2〜11のpH値に調節し、混合物を制御された剪断力の導入により分散させ、その際高表面積の熱分解法により製造された酸化アルミニウムの分散にローター−ステーター機械、ボールミル、パールミル、撹拌ボールミル又は高エネルギーせん断プロセスから選択されるせん断装置を使用し、かつ前記分散を1000 bar を上回る圧力での高圧下で実施し、かつ得られた分散液が、d 50 <150nmの平均粒径分布(150nm未満のd 50 ;動的光散乱により測定)を有することを特徴とする、酸化アルミニウム分散液の製造方法。
- 分散液が8:1〜1:2の酸化アルミニウム−バインダー質量比を有している、請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウムの分散液。
- 請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液から製造された記録媒体において、前記記録媒体が光沢のあるコーティングを有する支持体からなり、前記記録媒体中でコーティングが、VP Alu 130 分散液並びに分散添加剤及びバインダー系を含有し、その際、コーティングを構成する酸化アルミニウム粒子が、d50<200nmの平均粒径(200nm未満のd50;動的光散乱により測定)を有する本発明による分散液から出発している、請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液から製造された記録媒体。
- 紙、金属、ガラス、セラミック、プラスチック、ポリマー、ゴム及び編織布からなる群から選択される材料のためのコーティングにおける請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液の使用。
- 金属、電子工業における半導体素子、ガラス、又はセラミックを研磨及び清浄化するための、請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液の使用。
- 蛍光灯又は白熱電球のコーティングのための請求項1記載の酸化アルミニウム分散液の使用。
