Abstract
【解決手段】複数の電極対P1〜P8の温度がいずれも自己清浄温度以上の温度を下限温度としプレイグニッション発生温度未満の温度を上限温度とする適正温度範囲内に保たれるように、複数の電極対P1〜P8の熱価を個別に設定する。

また、本発明の別の態様では、点火ギャップを構成する電極対を複数備え、前記複数の電極対をエンジンのシリンダ開口部の周囲に配置する多点点火装置において、隣接する電極対を電気的に接続する中間部材と、前記エンジンのシリンダヘッドとシリンダブロックの間に介装され、前記中間部材が埋設される介装部材と、を備え、前記複数の電極対の温度がいずれも自己清浄温度以上の温度を下限温度としプレイグニッション発生温度未満の温度を上限温度とする適正温度範囲内に保たれるように、前記中間部材と前記電極対の材質を異ならせることで前記中間部材に接続する電極対の熱価を変更し、前記複数の電極対の熱価を個別に設定する。

Claims (5)
- 点火ギャップを構成する電極対を複数備え、前記複数の電極対をエンジンのシリンダ開口部の周囲に配置する多点点火装置において、
隣接する電極対を電気的に接続する中間部材と、
前記エンジンのシリンダヘッドとシリンダブロックの間に介装され、前記中間部材が埋設される介装部材と、
を備え、
前記複数の電極対の温度がいずれも自己清浄温度以上の温度を下限温度としプレイグニッション発生温度未満の温度を上限温度とする適正温度範囲内に保たれるように、前記中間部材と前記介装部材の接触面積を変更することで前記中間部材に接続する電極対の熱価を変更し、前記複数の電極対の熱価を個別に設定したことを特徴とする多点点火装置。 - 前記中間部材の長さ、幅、厚みの少なくとも一つを変更することで前記中間部材と前記介装部材の接触面積を変更したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多点点火装置。
- 前記中間部材と前記介装部材の間に1又は2以上の空隙を設けることによって前記中間部材と前記介装部材の接触面積を変更したことを特徴とする請求項2または3に記載の多点点火装置。
- 前記中間部材と前記電極対の材質を異ならせることで前記中間部材に接続する電極対の熱価を変更したことを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか一つに記載の多点点火装置。
- 点火ギャップを構成する電極対を複数備え、前記複数の電極対をエンジンのシリンダ開口部の周囲に配置する多点点火装置において、
