Description
HEVは、各種組合せで記載されてきた。多くのHEV特許は、電気動作と内燃機関動作との間で選択することをドライバーに要求するシステムを開示する。他の構成においては、電気モーターが一組の車輪を駆動し、内燃機関が別の組の車輪を駆動する。
他のより有用な構成も開発されてきた。例えば、シリーズ・ハイブリッド電気自動車(series hybrid electric vehicle: SHEV)構成は、発電機と呼ばれる電気モーターに接続されたエンジン(最も一般的にはICE)を持つ車両である。発電機はそして、電気を、バッテリーと、推進モーターと呼ばれるもう一つのモーターとへ、供給する。SHEVにおいて、推進モーターは、車輪トルクの唯一の供給源である。エンジンと駆動輪との間には、機械的接続はない。パラレル・ハイブリッド電気自動車(parallel hybrid electric vehicle: PHEV)構成は、エンジン(最も一般的にはICE)と電気モーターを持ち、両者が、様々な程度に協働して、車両を駆動するのに必要なトルクを供給する。加えて、PHEV構成においては、モーターをICEが発生したエネルギーによりバッテリーを充電するための発電機として用いることが出来る。

Claims (9)
- モーター及び変速機を持つ車両パワートレインの冷却システムであって、
ステーター・ハウジングを持つ上記モーター、及び
上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジング及び上記変速機と熱伝導性接触する冷却ループ、を有し、
上記冷却ループが、熱交換器、及び
上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジング、上記変速機及び上記熱交換器の間を直列に流体接続する通路、を有し、
上記冷却ループが更に、機械式変速機ポンプ及び、可逆の補助ポンプを有し、
上記冷却ループは、通常時は、上記機械式変速機ポンプ及び補助ポンプの少なくとも一方の作動により、上記熱交換器、上記変速機、及び上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジングの順に冷媒を圧送する一方、上記変速機の温度が所定温度に到達するまでは、上記補助ポンプを逆転作動させることにより、上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジング、及び上記変速機の順に冷媒を圧送する、冷却システム。 - 少なくとも一つの車両センサーからの入力を受けそして処理し、該少なくとも一つの車両センサーの処理された入力が予め選択された閾値を越えるとき、上記補助ポンプへ作動を命令する制御器を更に有する、請求項1の冷却システム。
- 上記冷却ループが更に、バイパス通路、及び
上記少なくともひとつの車両センサーの処理された入力が予め選択された閾値を越えるとき、上記制御器により作動するように独立して制御され得るアクチュエーターを持つバイパス弁、を有する、請求項2の冷却システム。 - 上記モーターが、一体型スターター発電機である、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の冷却システム。
- 上記冷却ループが、変速機温度を121℃未満に維持し、上記モーターの温度を176℃を超えない温度に維持するように、構成される、請求項1乃至4のいずれか1項に記載の冷却システム。
- 上記機械式変速機ポンプ及び補助ポンプは、直列に配設されている、請求項1に記載の冷却システム。
- モーター及び変速機を持つ車両パワートレインを冷却する方法であって、
通常時に、機械式変速機ポンプ及び可逆の補助ポンプの少なくとも一方の作動により、上記モーターのモーター・ステーター・ハウジング及び上記変速機と、熱伝導性接触する冷却ループを通して、直列に流体接続された熱交換器、上記変速機、及び上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジングに対し、この順番で冷媒を圧送する工程、及び、
上記変速機の温度が所定温度に到達するまでは、上記補助ポンプを逆転作動させることにより、上記モーター・ステーター・ハウジング、及び上記変速機の順番で、冷媒を圧送する工程、を有する方法。 - 少なくともひとつの車両センサー出力を受信そして処理する工程、及び
該少なくともひとつの車両センサーの処理された入力が、予め選択された閾値を越えるとき、補助ポンプに作動を命令する工程、を更に有する、請求項7の方法。 - 上記機械式変速機ポンプ及び補助ポンプは、直列に配設されている、請求項7に記載の方法。
