Claims (10)
- 送信用発振器から出力される搬送波の位相を制御する位相制御ループと、電力増幅回路から出力される送信出力信号の振幅を制御する振幅制御ループとを有する送信装置であって、前記振幅制御ループ上に設けられ該振幅制御ループの周波数帯域を制限するフィルタが、容量素子と抵抗素子を含む第1の受動フィルタと容量素子のみからなる第2の受動フィルタとで構成され、前記第1の受動フィルタと第2の受動フィルタの前段にはそれぞれ電流出力型の回路が設けられている送信装置。
- 搬送波を生成する送信用発振器と、生成された搬送波信号を増幅する電力増幅回路と、参照信号と帰還信号を比較して位相差に応じた信号を出力する位相検出回路を含み前記送信用発振器から出力される搬送波の位相を制御する位相制御ループと、参照信号と帰還信号を比較して振幅差に応じた信号を出力する振幅検出回路を含み前記電力増幅回路から出力される送信出力信号の振幅を制御する振幅制御ループとを有する送信装置であって、
前記振幅制御ループ上に設けられ該振幅制御ループの周波数帯域を制限するフィルタが、ラグリード特性を有する第1の受動フィルタと完全積分型の第2の受動フィルタとで構成され、前記第1の受動フィルタと第2の受動フィルタの前段にはそれぞれ電流出力型の回路が設けられている送信装置。 - 第1の動作モードでは前記位相制御ループおよび前記振幅制御ループによる位相振幅変調を行なって信号を送信し、第2の動作モードでは前記位相制御ループによる位相変調を行なって信号を送信し、前記第1の動作モードと第2の動作モードで前記位相制御ループを共通に使用して位相変調を行なう請求項1記載の送信装置。
- 前記第1の受動フィルタは前記第2の受動フィルタよりも前段に設けられている請求項3に記載の送信装置。
- 前記第2の受動フィルタの前段に設けられている前記電流出力型回路は、該電流出力型回路と前記第2の受動フィルタと前記第2の受動フィルタの後段に設けられている回路で完全積分回路を構成するように設計されている請求項4に記載の送信装置。
- 前記振幅制御ループの前記電力増幅回路から前記振幅検出回路までのフィードバックパス上に第1の可変利得増幅回路が設けられ、また前記振幅制御ループの前記振幅検出回路から前記電力増幅回路までのフォワードパス上に第2の可変利得増幅回路が設けられ、前記第1の可変利得増幅回路の利得と前記第2の可変利得増幅回路の利得の積がほぼ一定に維持されるように前記第1と第2の可変利得増幅回路の利得が制御される請求項1に記載の送信装置。
- 前記第1と第2の動作モードのいずれにおいても前記電力増幅回路は飽和領域で動作されるようにバイアスが与えられる請求項1に記載の送信装置。
- 前記電力増幅回路は電界効果トランジスタからなり、前記振幅制御ループで生成された電圧は前記電界効果トランジスタのドレインまたはソースに印加されて該トランジスタの利得を制御する請求項1に記載の送信装置。
- 請求項1に記載の送信装置と、送信データに基づいてベースバンド信号を生成するベースバンド回路と、該ベースバンド回路で生成されたベースバンド信号により位相変調および振幅変調を行なう変調回路とを備える無線通信機器。
- 前記第1の可変利得増幅回路の利得と前記第2の可変利得増幅回路の利得を制御する信号は前記ベースバンド回路で生成される請求項9に記載の無線通信機器。
