Abstract
【解決手段】 排気浄化機能付き消音装置の上流側排気流通路9に取付けた液体還元剤噴射ノズル12の、通路9内に突出するノズル先端部12aを、通路中心方向に向けて斜めに折曲する構造とした。

Description
図1は、本発明の液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造の第1実施形態を適用する排気浄化機能付き消音装置の内部構造を示す図である。
図1において、排気浄化機能付き消音装置1は、ケース2の図中右側側面に、排気流入部3と、該排気流入部3の図中手前側に排気排出部4(図中、2点鎖線で示す)が設けられている。また、ケース2外周囲には、適所に車両に固定するための取付けフランジ部5が設けられている。ケース2の内部には、排気流入部3に形成した多数の孔6を介して排気流入部3と連通する拡張室7と、該拡張室7と反対側の側面で排気流れを折返す折返部8と、拡張室7と折返部8とを連通する上流側排気流通路9と、折返部8と排気排出部4とを連通する下流側排気流通路10と、が形成されている。
図1の矢印で示す如く、排気流入部3から流入した排気は、孔6を介して拡張室7に流入し、上流側排気流通路9、折返部8、下流側排気流通路10へと順次流れ、排気排出部4から排出される。この際、上流側排気流通路9において酸化触媒11で排気中のNOをNO2に酸化した後、液体還元剤噴射ノズル30から液体還元剤を排気中に噴射供給する。液体還元剤を含んだ排気は、折返部8においてリング部材15の孔15aから噴射し、このリング部材15の作用により、液体還元剤が排気中に効果的に拡散、混合して下流側排気流通路10のNOx還元触媒13へ流入する。そして、NOx還元触媒13で排気中のNOxを液体還元剤で還元浄化し、還元剤酸化触媒14で残存する液体還元剤を酸化浄化した後、排気排出部4から排出する。
本実施形態の液体還元剤噴射ノズル30は、図3に示すように従来と同様に排気流れ方向に略直角に折曲したノズル先端部30aの周囲に設ける多数、例えば8個の噴孔31を、図3のX−X矢視断面を示す図4に示すように、ノズル取付け側壁面のノズル取付け部を略中心とした所定範囲Vを除いて液体還元剤を噴射するよう、ノズル先端部30aの周方向において偏在させて形成したものである。図4のa〜hは、噴孔31の形成位置を示し、数字は各噴孔31間の間隔(角度)を示す。
第2実施形態の液体還元剤噴射ノズル40は、第1実施形態と同様に排気流れ方向に略直角に折曲したノズル先端部40aの周囲に設ける複数の噴孔41を、図6に示すように、ノズル先端部40aの軸方向に複数列、例えば2列にし、且つ、図7と図8に示すように互いに噴孔位置を周方向にずらして形成する。尚、図7は図6のY−Y矢視断面図であり、図8は図6のZ−Z矢視断面図である。また、図7及び図8のa〜hは、図4と同様の各列における噴孔41の形成位置を示し、数字は各噴孔41間の間隔(角度)を示す。
本実施形態の液体還元剤噴射ノズル12は、上述した第1実施形態又は第2実施形態の構成において、図10に示すように、ノズル先端部12aを、図示のように通路中心方向に斜めに折曲してある。折曲角度θとしては、例えば約θ=120°程度とする。
図11は、第4実施形態の液体還元剤噴射ノズル20の要部拡大図である。
図11において、第4実施形態の液体還元剤噴射ノズル20は、上述した第1実施形態又は第2実施形態の構成において、ノズル先端部20aの周囲に設ける噴孔21の向きを、ノズル先端部20aの径方向(図11の矢印R方向)に対して排気流れ方向側に傾斜させて形成してある。傾斜角度は、例えば約30°程度とする。

Claims (5)
- 窒素酸化物を液体還元剤で還元浄化する還元触媒を介装した排気流通路の前記還元触媒より上流の排気流通路壁面に取付けられ、当該壁面から通路中心に向けて当該通路中心より手前側に突出し排気の流れ方向に向けて折曲したノズル先端部の周囲に形成した多数の噴孔から前記液体還元剤を噴射供給する液体還元剤噴射ノズルにおいて、
前記ノズル先端部の前記噴孔を、ノズル取付け側壁面のノズル取付け部を略中心とした所定範囲を除いて液体還元剤を噴射するよう偏在させて形成したことを特徴とする液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造。 - 前記噴孔を、ノズル先端部の軸方向に複数列形成し、且つ、互いに隣接する列の噴孔位置を周方向にずらすようにした請求項1に記載の液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造。
- 前記ノズル先端部を、通路中心方向に向かうよう排気流れ方向に対して斜めに折曲形成した請求項1又は2に記載の液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造。
- 前記ノズル先端部の前記噴孔の向きを、ノズル先端部の中心軸線と直角な径方向に対して排気流れ方向側に傾斜させて形成した請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造。
- 内部の排気流通路に折返部を有し、前記折返部より上流側の排気流通路に液体還元剤噴射ノズルを配置し、前記折返部より下流側の排気流通路に前記還元触媒を配置する構成の排気浄化機能付き消音装置の液体還元剤噴射ノズルに適用した請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載の液体還元剤噴射ノズル構造。
