【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】この発明は、防漏カフを備え
た使い捨てのおむつに関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】特公平３−８０５０２号公報に開示の使
い捨ておむつは、透液性表面シートと、不透液性裏面シ
ートと、これら両シート間に介在する吸液性コアと、弾
性部材によって伸縮する可撓性フラップからなる防漏手
段とを備えている。前記フラップは、おむつ内面から上
方へ突出する分岐部と、該分岐部から内方向への第１張
り出し部および該分岐部から外方向への第２張り出し部
を有するシール面域とからなり、前記弾性部材が前記シ
ール面域に位置している。かかるおむつでは、通常、第
１張り出し部が大腿に弾性的に密着して内方向へ開口す
るポケットを形成し、このポケットで流動性の便や尿を
受止することができる。第２張り出し部は、第１張り出
し部とともに大腿に弾性的に密着し、排泄物の漏れ防止
効果を高めている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】前記公知のおむつで
は、第１、２張り出し部のそれぞれが折れ重なることな
く幅方向へ広がって、大腿に広い面積で当接することが
好ましい。この発明は、第１、２張り出し部が常にその
ように当接することを可能にする、前記公知おむつの改
良を課題にしている。
【０００４】
【課題を解決するための手段】前記課題解決のために、
この発明が前提とする使い捨ておむつは、前胴周り域
と、後胴周り域と、これら両域間に位置する股下域とを
有し、透液性表面シートと、不透液性裏面シートと、こ
れら両シート間に介在する吸液性コアと、前記股下域を
中心に前後胴周り域方向に延在し、複数条の弾性部材に
よって前記前後胴周り域方向へ伸縮する可撓性防漏カフ
とを備え、前記カフが、前記裏面シートから表面シート
へ向かう方向への突出部と、前記突出部から内方向への
第１張り出し部および前記突出部から外方向への第２張
り出し部からなるシール面域とを有する。
【０００５】かかる使い捨ておむつにおいて、この発明
が特徴とするところは、前記シール面域で、前記弾性部
材が前記前後胴周り域方向へ平行して伸長状態で延びて
おり、前記弾性部材のうちで前記シール面域内側縁部に
位置する弾性部材は、残余の弾性部材のいずれよりも伸
長応力が高く、前記おむつが前記表面シートを内側にし
て前記前後胴周り域方向へ湾曲すると、前記弾性部材が
収縮して前記防漏カフの突出部が前記裏面シートから表
面シートへ向かう方向へ起立するとともに、前記シール
面域が前記第１張り出し部を下方にして傾斜すること、
にある。
【０００６】この発明の実施態様の一つにおいて、前記
第１張り出し部では一条の前記弾性部材が前記シール面
域の内側縁部に取り付けられ、前記第２張り出し部では
複数条の前記弾性部材が前記シール面域の外側縁部と、
該外側縁部と前記突出部との間とに取り付けられ、前記
外側縁部と突出部との間に位置する弾性部材は、前記外
側縁部の弾性部材と比較して、伸長応力が低いかまたは
同じである。
【０００７】
【発明の実施の形態】添付の図面に基づいて、この発明
に係る使い捨ておむつの詳細を説明すると、以下のとお
りである。
【０００８】図１，２は、使い捨ておむつ１の部分破断
平面図と、おむつ１の部分破断斜視図である。図２で
は、おむつ１が後記の各弾性部材の収縮によって湾曲し
ている。
【０００９】おむつ１は、透液性表面シート２と、不透
液性裏面シート３と、これら両シート２，３間に介在す
る吸液性コア４とを有し、前後の長手方向が前胴周り域
６と、後胴周り域７と、股下域８とで構成されている。
表面シート２と裏面シート３とは、コア４の周縁から外
方へ延出し、その延出する部分で互いに接合して一対の
サイドフラップ１１と、前後のエンドフラップ１２，１
３とを形成している。サイドフラップ１１それぞれの上
面には、上方への突出部１６と、突出部１６からおむつ
内方への第１張り出し部１７および突出部１６からおむ
つ外方への第２張り出し部１８からなるシール面域２０
とを有する防漏カフ１９が、股下域８を中心に前後胴周
り域６，７方向へ延びている。第１、２張り出し部１
７，１８それぞれの前後端縁部は、おむつ１の内面に接
合している。股下域８において、サイドフラップ１１の
前後方向には、複数条の脚周り弾性部材２１が延びてい
る。これら弾性部材２１は、表裏面シート２，３間に位
置しているか、または図示の如く裏面シート３とカフ１
９を形成しているシート１０との間に位置し、それらシ
ートいずれかの内面に伸長状態で接合している。前後の
エンドフラップ１２，１３の胴周り方向には、発泡ポリ
ウレタン製の弾性シート２２，２３が延びている。これ
らシート２２，２３は、表裏面シート２，３間に位置
し、胴周り方向へ伸長した状態でこれら両シート２，３
の内面に間欠的に接合している。シール面域２０には、
前後胴周り域６，７方向へ延びる複数条の弾性部材２４
が、伸長状態で取り付けられている。
【００１０】図３は、図２のＩＩＩ−ＩＩＩ線断面を示
すおむつ１の部分図である。シール面域２０の弾性部材
２４は、第１張り出し部１７において内側縁部２６に沿
って前後方向へ延びる一条の第１弾性部材２４Ａと、第
２張り出し部１８において外側縁部２７に沿って前後方
向へ延びる第２弾性部材２４Ｂおよび外側縁部２７と突
出部１６との間で前後方向へ延びる第３弾性部材２４Ｃ
とによって構成されている。第１張り出し部１７の第１
弾性部材２４Ａは複数条あってもよいが、図示のように
一条のものである場合には、第１弾性部材２４Ａが突出
部１６の上端近傍、好ましくは上端から０〜３ｍｍの範
囲内、より好ましくは０．５〜２ｍｍの範囲内に位置し
ている。図１のようにおむつ１を前後方向へ伸展した状
態でみたときに、第１、２弾性部材２４Ａ，２４Ｂは第
１、２張り出し部１７，１８の前後端縁間に延びてい
て、実質的に同じ長さを有している。第１弾性部材２４
Ａは第２弾性部材２４Ｂよりも高い伸長応力、より好ま
しくは高い伸長応力と伸長倍率とを有する。第３弾性部
材２４Ｃは、第１、２弾性部材２４Ａ，２４Ｂと長さが
実質的に同じであるかまたは短いもので、第３弾性部材
２４Ｃの伸長応力は、第２弾性部材２４Ｂのそれと同じ
であるかまたはそれよりも低く、伸長倍率は第２弾性部
材のそれと同じであるかそれよりも高いことが好まし
い。
【００１１】表裏面シート２，３は、コア４の側縁の外
方でホットメルト接着剤３０を介して水密状態で接合し
ている。裏面シート３は、表面シート２の側縁からさら
に外方へ延び、その延びている部分では、カフ１９を形
成しているシート１０と接着剤３０を介して、好ましく
は水密状態で接合している。シート１０は、おむつ１の
内方へ延びて表面シート２に上から重なり、接着剤３０
を介してシート２に、好ましくは水密状態で接合してい
る。裏面シート３とシート１０との間には、脚周り弾性
部材２１が位置している。
【００１２】このように構成された防漏カフ１９は、お
むつ１が前後方向へ伸展状態にあると、第１〜３弾性部
材２４Ａ〜２４Ｃが伸長することによっておむつ内面に
重なり（図１参照）、おむつ１が表面シート２を内側に
して前後方向へ湾曲すると、主として第１，２弾性部材
２４Ａ，２４Ｂが、それらの高い伸長応力と伸長倍率と
に対応して収縮する（図２参照）ことによって、防漏カ
フ１９の突出部１６が側縁部フラップ１１から起立し、
シール面域２０が第１張り出し部１７を下方にして傾斜
する（図３参照）。第３弾性部材２４Ｃは、シール面域
２０が第１，２弾性部材２４Ａ，２４Ｂ間において弛む
ことがないように作用する。第１張り出し部１７と突出
部１６とによって、おむつ内方へ下向きに開口するポケ
ット３１が形成される。
【００１３】おむつ１を着用するときには、起立した防
漏カフ１９のシール面域２０の外側縁部２７が、仮想線
で示される着用者の脚周り３２に当接する。外側縁部２
７が脚周りに強く当接すると、シール面域２０は、伸長
応力の最も高い第１弾性部材２４Ａを軸にして矢印Ｘ方
向へ旋回し、仮想線で示されるように着用者の脚周り３
２’に広い面積で当接し、それと同時にポケット３１が
大きく開口する。
【００１４】かかるおむつ１では、幅方向への体液の流
れが突出部１６によって止められて横からの漏れが防止
される。突出部１６に沿ってその上端部にまで流れる体
液は、第１張り出し部１７の下面に阻まれて、脚周り３
２，３２’とシール面域２０との間隙に浸入することが
ない。また、その間隙に体液が浸入したとしても、防漏
カフ１９は面積の広いシール面域２０で脚周りにフィッ
トしているから、おむつの外にまでは容易に達すること
がない。おむつ１では、防漏カフ１９のこのような作用
によって体液の漏れが少なくなる。
【００１５】第１張り出し部１７には、図示例の他に互
いに平行な複数条の弾性部材２４Ａを配置することが可
能である。それらの弾性部材２４Ａは、長さと伸長割合
とが同じであって、それらの伸長応力は、同じであるか
または内側縁２６に近いものほど高くなることが好まし
い。シール面域２０が内外側縁部２６，２７間で弛むこ
とをいとわない場合には、第３弾性部材２４Ｃを省くこ
とができる。
【００１６】防漏カフ１９の突出部１６とシール面域２
０とには、不織布やプラスチックシート、より好ましく
は不透液性の不織布やプラスチックシート、さらに好ま
しくは、通気・不透液性の不織布やプラスチックシート
を使用する。表面シート２には、透液性の不織布や開孔
プラスチックシートを使用することができる。裏面シー
ト３には、不透液性のプラスチックシートを使用し、コ
ア４には粉砕パルプや粉砕パルプと高吸水性ポリマー粒
子との混合物を使用することができる。おむつ１の各弾
性部材は、ホットメルト接着剤によってシート部材に接
合することができる。シート部材どうしの接合には、ホ
ットメルト接着剤の他に、溶着技術を利用することがで
きる。

【発明の効果】この発明に係る使い捨ておむつでは、防
漏カフがフラップから起立可能な突出部と、突出部上端
に位置するシール面域とで構成され、シール面域の複数
条の弾性部材は、内側縁部に位置するものの伸長応力が
最も高く、外側縁部に位置するものの伸長応力が低いか
ら、シール面域は内側縁部の弾性部材を支点にして外方
へ旋回して広い面積で脚周りに当接し、体液の漏れを確
実に防ぐことができる。

Claims (2)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 前胴周り域と、後胴周り域と、これら両
    域間に位置する股下域とを有し、透液性表面シートと、
    不透液性裏面シートと、これら両シート間に介在する吸
    液性コアと、前記股下域を中心に前後胴周り域方向に延
    在し、複数条の弾性部材によって前記前後胴周り域方向
    へ伸縮する可撓性防漏カフとを備え、前記カフが、前記
    裏面シートから表面シートへ向かう方向への突出部と、
    前記突出部から内方向への第１張り出し部および前記突
    出部から外方向への第２張り出し部からなるシール面域
    とを有する使い捨ておむつであって、 前記シール面域では、前記弾性部材が前記前後胴周り域
    方向へ平行して伸長状態で延びており、前記弾性部材の
    うちで前記シール面域内側縁部に位置する弾性部材は、
    残余の弾性部材のいずれよりも伸長応力が高く、 前記おむつが前記表面シートを内側にして前記前後胴周
    り域方向へ湾曲すると、前記弾性部材が収縮して前記防
    漏カフの突出部が前記裏面シートから表面シートへ向か
    う方向へ起立するとともに、前記シール面域が前記第１
    張り出し部を下方にして傾斜する ことを特徴とする前記
    おむつ。
  2. 【請求項２】 前記第１張り出し部では一条の前記弾性
    部材が前記シール面域の内側縁部に取り付けられ、前記
    第２張り出し部では複数条の前記弾性部材が前記シール
    面域の外側縁部と、該外側縁部と前記突出部との間とに
    取り付けられ、前記外側縁部と突出部との間に位置する
    弾性部材は、前記外側縁部の弾性部材と比較して、伸長
    応力が低いかまたは同じである請求項１記載のおむつ。
