Description

【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、使い捨ておむつ、特
に、排泄物の廃棄用の表面シートを備える使い捨ておむ
つに関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、使い捨ておむつはその名が示すよ
うに、使用後に廃棄することを意図してつくられたもの
であり、その廃棄方法は、使い捨ておむつ全体で、排泄
物を包みこむように丸め、更に、テープファスナー等で
止めてゴミ箱等に廃棄するのが一般的である。
【０００３】しかし、短期間とはいえ、おむつでくるん
だ排泄物を家庭内のゴミ箱に保存することは衛生上好ま
しいことではなく、また、室外においても、例えば公園
等で使用済みの使い捨ておむつがゴミとして放置される
等、環境衛生上の問題も生じている。また、使い捨てお
むつの使用者あるいは介護者の中には、上述の問題点を
軽減するために、便のような排泄物の固形部分を、おむ
つから取り除いて便器へ流した後、使い捨ておむつを廃
棄しているようである。
【０００４】しかし、かかる処理操作は、通常、使い捨
ておむつを便器につけて、流し落とすもので、粘着して
いる便は剥がし難くく、その操作が煩雑であるととに、
該処理者の手を汚すことになり、使い捨ておむつの本質
的な機能性に欠けることになる。更に、かかる処理時に
は使い捨ておむつが便器の中の水を吸収して重くなった
り、液だれが生じるという不都合がある。あるいは、誤
っておむつを便器に流してしまい、排水管がつまる原因
となる。
【０００５】かかる問題に対して、使い捨ておむつの表
面シート上に保持した排泄物を容易に処理、廃棄する手
段として、米国特許第２４５００５９号、特公昭５３−
２６１７５号公報があるが、これらの公報には、表面シ
ートを積層構造とし、その最上層を剥離して排泄物を包
み込んで廃棄し易くした使い捨ておむつが知られてい
る。
【０００６】また、特公昭５４−２９９３２号公報に
は、分離可能な中央部分を有し、その上に排出された排
泄物をその中央部分とともに廃棄し得るようにした内側
シートを有する構成が開示されている。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかし、上述した従来
の技術は、表面シートの全面が裏面シート又は吸収体に
接着されているために、着用者の動きに対して、充分に
追従せず肌から離間しやすいという不都合がある。更
に、これらの技術は、表面シートあるいはフラッフパル
プよりなる吸収層を排泄物とともに便器から廃棄するも
のであるが、最近市販されている使い捨ておむつは、合
成繊維や高吸水性ポリマー等の水不溶性素材が多く使わ
れているので、便器からの廃棄は好ましくない。また、
表面シートの最上層を剥離して、排泄物を包み込む操作
は、その最上層が薄いために、剥離及び排泄物の包み込
み動作にかなりの注意力、熟練度を要し、操作性に劣る
という欠点がある。
【０００８】従って、本発明の目的は、上面シートの着
用者への追従性がよく、且つ固形排泄物を上面シートに
くるみ、おむつ本体と別個に分離して廃棄するか、ある
いは便器の水流により固形排泄物のみを廃棄することに
より、固形排泄物を容易に処理することができる使い捨
ておむつを提供することである。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、液透過性の表
面シート、液不透過性の裏面シート、上記両シートの間
に位置する吸収体、及び上記表面シート上に配置された
液透過性の上面シートを有する使い捨ておむつにおい
て、上記上面シートは、長手方向に沿う両側部に弾性伸
縮部材が張設されており、上記上面シートの長手方向に
おける少なくとも両端部が上記表面シートに固定され、
且つ両端部の少なくとも一端が取り外し可能であり、上
記吸収体の短手方向外方に延出するサイドフラップに
は、着用者の脚部にギャザーが形成されるように、上記
裏面シートと上記表面シートとの間にサイドフラップ弾
性体が配置されており、上記上面シートは、上記表面シ
ートに対して乾燥時３５〜１５０ｇ／２５mm、湿潤時２
５〜１００ｇ／２５mmの剥離力を有することを特徴とす
る使い捨ておむつを提供することにより上記目的を達成
したものである。

【作用】本発明の使い捨ておむつによれば、上面シート
は、少なくともその前後端部が固定されており、股下部
にフィットし易いＵ字状に形成されるので、装着者の股
間形状に追従でき、しかも上面シートに張設された弾性
伸縮部材により着用中にはポケットが形成されているの
で、固形排泄物の漏れが防止される。
【００１１】排泄物を排泄した後には、着用者から使い
捨ておむつを外し、排泄物を包み込むように上面シート
の両側部を合わせ上へ引き上げるようにして、上面シー
トの固定部分を表面シートから引き剥がす。引き剥がし
においては、少なくとも一端部が取り外し可能であるか
ら、上面シートを容易に引き剥がすことができる。かか
る場合、上面シートに配置された弾性伸縮部材により上
面シートの両側部分が表面シートから離れ中央部分に空
間が形成されるのである。
【００１２】上面シートは引き剥がすと同時に、弾性伸
縮部材により排泄物を包み込む形状、即ち、略袋状にな
ってその上端部がつかみ易くなる。従って、袋状の上端
部をつまみ上げて、そのまま上面シートを便器等に廃棄
する。あるいは、便器の水流により上面シートから排泄
物を洗い流し、上面シートを別個に廃棄することも可能
である。

【実施例】以下、図面に基づいて本発明を更に詳細に説
明する。図１は、本発明による使い捨ておむつ１１を平
坦に引き伸ばした状態の平面図であり、このおむつ１１
の構造を一層明瞭に示すために構造を一部を切り欠き、
着用者と接触する面を上にして示した図である。
【００１４】図１に示すように、使い捨ておむつ１１
は、液透過性の表面シート１２、液不透過性の裏面シー
ト１３、上記両シートの間に位置する吸収体１４、及び
上記表面シート１２上に分離可能に配置された液透過性
の上面シートを１５有する使い捨ておむつにおいて、上
記上面シート１５は、長手方向に沿う両側部に弾性伸縮
部材２９が張設されており、上記上面シート１５の長手
方向における少なくとも両端部２５、２６が上記表面シ
ート１３に固定され、且つ両端部２５、２６の少なくと
も一端が取り外し可能である。
【００１５】使い捨ておむつ１１には、その長手方向
に、背側ウエスト部２１、腹側ウエスト部２３、及び又
部２２が形成されており、更に吸収体１４の短手方向外
方にサイドフラップ２４が延出されている。このサイド
フラップ２４には、着用者の脚部にギャザーが形成され
るように、裏面シート１３と表面シート１２との間にサ
イドフラップ弾性体１７が配置されており、フィット性
の向上と防漏性が保持されている。
【００１６】おむつ１１は、縦方向に長い長方形形状に
形成されており、裏面シート１３と表面シート１２は、
近似の長さ及び幅を有している。裏面シート１３として
は、一般に厚さが１０〜６０μの低密度の不透明のポリ
エチレンシートが使用されるが、特にシャリ音が小さ
く、ムレ、カブレを起こさせにくい蒸気透過性で液不透
過性の多孔シートが好ましい。ここで「シャリ音」とは
シートなどが揉まれるときに発生する音を言う。表面シ
ート１２としては、一般に坪量が１５〜４０ｇ／ｍ2 の
不織布が使用されるが、液透過性であればフィルム、ネ
ット等でも差し支えなく、特に周囲が撥水性で中央部が
親水性のものが好ましい。
【００１７】サイドフラップ弾性体１７としては、一般
にポリウレタン、天然ゴムなどを紐、リボンなどの形状
にしたものや水に濡れてから伸縮性を発現する糸等が用
いられ、これをおむつの左右のサイドフラップにそれぞ
れ１本以上、約５本までの本数で設置する。サイドフラ
ップ弾性体１７の取り付け長さがおむつの長さの約３０
〜６０％であり、伸長度合は自由長の約１．３〜２．０
倍が好ましい。
【００１８】吸収体１４としては、一般に、針葉樹のク
ラフトパルプを粉砕した綿状体を吸水紙で覆ったものが
用いられ、特に高吸収性ポリマーを含ませたものが好ま
しい。綿状体の重量は一般に約１０ｇから４０ｇであ
る。吸収体に使用される高吸収性ポリマーの存在位置と
しては吸収体中の上、中、下層あるいはパルプと混合で
も構わず、高吸収性ポリマー粒子としては、デンプン
系、セルロース系、合成ポリマー系が挙げられ、例え
ば、デンプン−アクリル酸（塩）グラフト共重合体、デ
ンプン−アクリロニトリル共重合体のケン化物、ナトリ
ウムカルボキシメチルセルロースの架橋物、アクリル酸
（塩）重合体などが適当である。かかる高吸収性ポリマ
ー粒子は自重の２０倍以上の液吸収性保持力を有し、ゲ
ル化する性質を有するものである。
【００１９】液透過性の上面シート１５は、表面シート
１２の上面において、使い捨ておむつ１１の長手方向に
沿って延出されており、背側ウエスト部２１及び腹側ウ
エスト部２３においてその前後端部２５、２６が表面シ
ート１２上に接着固定されており、中間部は接着されず
に自由部分２７を形勢している。尚、本実施例では、液
透過性の上面シート１５の中間部を固定しない例を示し
ているが、フィット性の高い上面シートのＵ字形の保型
性を考慮して中間部を剥離可能に接着固定してもよい。
【００２０】上面シート１５の幅は、使い捨ておむつ１
１の幅の約３０〜７０％が好ましく、特に吸収体１４の
股部分２２の最小幅より狭い方が、吸収体１４の吸収性
能を有効に活用できる。上面シート１５の長さは、おむ
つ１１と同一の長さでなくても良く、実質的に短い方が
好ましい。上面シート１５の平面形状は、上面シート１
５が着用者の股部に良く密着できるために自由部分２７
の幅が狭く前後端部２５、２６の幅が広い砂時計型が好
ましいが、前後端部２５、２６の幅と自由部分２７の幅
が同じであっても良く、自由部分２７の幅が端部２５、
２６の幅より広くてもかまわない。
【００２１】上面シート１５に配置される弾性伸縮部材
２９、２９は、上面シート１５の長手方向に沿う両側部
に張設されており、図２に示すように、自然状態におい
て、自由部分２７が袋状のポケット３１を形成するとと
もにギャザー３２を形成するようになっている。このよ
うなポケット３１を形成することにより、固形排泄物Ａ
が着用中に上面シート１５に保持し、ギャザー３２を着
用者にフィットさせて固形排泄物Ａのはみ出しを防止し
ている。
【００２２】上面シート１５の素材としては、不織布、
網目状シート、多孔を有するシート、弾性を有するシー
トなどの液透過性のシートが用いられるが、水分の多い
便、いわゆる軟便の漏れを防止するために、上面シート
に吸収容量５ｇ／cm2 以上の吸収性を持たせてもよい。
また、便器等にそのまま流せるように、水に溶解する素
材を用いてもよい。かかる水溶解性の材料として、例え
ば、レーヨン及び／またはパルブの湿式抄紙によるシー
ト、ポリビニルアルコール等の水可溶性樹脂により形成
したシート等が挙げられる。
【００２３】また、上面シート１５を剥離する際の剥離
力は、乾燥時に３５ｇ／２５mm以上１５０ｇ／２５mm以
下、好ましくは５０ｇ／２５mm以上１００ｇ／２５mm以
下であり、湿潤時に２５ｇ／２５mm以上１００ｇ／２５
mm以下、好ましくは２５ｇ／２５mm以上７５ｇ／２５mm
以下である。このような範囲であれば、着用時及び着用
中に上面シート１５が剥離することがなく、排泄後の固
形排泄物の廃棄時には容易に上面シートを剥離して廃棄
できるからである。また、剥離する時に上面シート１５
や表面シート１２が破れることもない。かかる剥離力
は、例えばスリット２８の間隔や前後端部２５、２６の
接着力を調節することにより容易に制御することができ
る。
【００２４】剥離力の試験方法は、以下のように行う。
上面シート１５と表面シート１２の固定部から２５mm幅
で切り出して試料片とし、両シートの端をテンシロン引
張り試験機で引張り、その強度を測定する。乾燥時剥離
力の測定は、２０℃、６０％ＲＨの条件で行い、湿潤時
剥離力は、試料片に水を飽和させて行う。
【００２５】接着剤としては、ホットメルト型接着剤が
好ましいが、性状としては、剥離した時に上面シート１
５と表面シート１２の両方に接着剤が残るものが好まし
い。なぜなら、上面シート１５は丸めて固定して廃棄で
きるので衛生的であるし、表面シート１２の上に新たに
汚染されていない上面シートを固定させることにより、
おむつとして再度使用することができるからである。
【００２６】次に、本実施例の動作を説明する。着用時
には、通常の使い捨ておむつと同様に、上面シート１５
を着用者の肌に接するようにあて、背側ウエスト部２１
を背側に、腹側ウエスト部２３を腹側にあててテープフ
ァスナー１６を腹側のターゲットテープ３３（図２参
照）に貼着して装着する。
【００２７】着用中の状態では、サイドフラップ弾性体
１７により着用者の脚部にレッグギャザーを形成して排
泄物の漏れが図られているとともに、上面シート１５が
その自由部分２７において、ポケット３１を形成し固形
排泄物を受け入れるようになる。更に、上面シート１５
は、股間形状に合致するように、少なくともその前後端
部２５、２６を固定し、固定部以外の自由部分は使い捨
ておむつ１１と別個に着用者の動きに追従して、上面シ
ート１５のフィット性の向上が図られる。また、上面シ
ート１５に張設されている弾性伸縮部材２９、２９によ
り該上面シート１５は着用者の肌に密着するので、更に
上面シート１５のフィット性が高められている。従っ
て、固形排泄物Ａが上面シート１５から漏れるのを確実
に防止できる。
【００２８】次に、固形排泄物Ａを廃棄する際には、上
面シート１５の弾性伸縮部材２９、２９によりその両側
部が表面シートから浮き上がり表面シート１２との間に
空間が形成されるので、固形排泄物Ａを包み込むように
上面シート１５の両側部を合わせ、前後端部の固定部を
取り外す。そうすると、その状態で、弾性伸縮部材２
９、２９が伸縮し、その長手方向の両端部が互いに近づ
いて上面シート１５が袋状に丸まった状態になるので、
処理中に固形排泄物を取り落とすこともない。よって、
図３に示すように、上面シート１５を袋状にして固形排
泄物Ａを吊り下げるようにして、そのまま便器等に廃棄
する。あるいは便器の水流により、上面シート１５から
排泄物を洗い流し、上面シート１５を別個に廃棄しても
よい。従って、使い捨ておむつから固形排泄物を片手
で、容易に除去し、便器等に廃棄できるので、便を除去
しているから、使い捨ておむつが通常のゴミとして放置
された場合でも環境衛生をそこなうことがない。
【００２９】尚、便器に廃棄された上面シート１５は、
水溶性である場合には溶解してしまうので、処理が簡便
となる。本発明は上述した実施例に限定されることにな
く、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々変形可能であ
る。例えば、自由部分２７には、前後端部２５、２６に
近似した位置に、幅方向に沿って断続的なスリット（い
わゆるミシン目）を形成してもよい。これにより長手方
向の力に対しては、十分対抗することができるとともに
廃棄する時には、上面シートは幅方向に容易に引き裂き
可能となる。
【００３０】また、上面シートの前後端部２５、２６
は、これらの少なくとも一方が取り外し可能であればよ
い。即ち、必ずしも両端部２５、２６が取り外し可能に
固定されていることに限らず、一端部２５（または２
６）は完全に固定されて外れない構成であってもよい。

【発明の効果】本発明の使い捨ておむつによれば、着用
者への追従性がよく、且つ固形排泄物を上面シートにく
るみ、おむつ本体と別個に分離して廃棄するか、あるい
は便器の水流により固形排泄物のみを廃棄することによ
り、固形排泄物を容易に処理することができる。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 液透過性の表面シート、液不透過性の裏
    面シート、上記両シートの間に位置する吸収体、及び上
    記表面シート上に配置された液透過性の上面シートを有
    する使い捨ておむつにおいて、 上記上面シートは、長手方向に沿う両側部に弾性伸縮部
    材が張設されており、上記上面シートの長手方向におけ
    る少なくとも両端部が上記表面シートに固定され、且つ
    両端部の少なくとも一端が取り外し可能であり、 上記吸収体の短手方向外方に延出するサイドフラップに
    は、着用者の脚部にギャザーが形成されるように、上記
    裏面シートと上記表面シートとの間にサイドフラップ弾
    性体が配置されており、 上記上面シートは、上記表面シートに対して乾燥時３５
    〜１５０ｇ／２５mm、湿潤時２５〜１００ｇ／２５mmの
    剥離力を有す ることを特徴とする使い捨ておむつ。
  2. 【請求項２】 上記上面シートは、上記表面シートに対
    して接着剤により接合されていることを特徴とする請求
    項１記載の使い捨ておむつ。
  3. 【請求項３】 上記接着剤は、上記上面シートを上記表
    面シートから剥離した際に、上記上面シート及び上記表
    面シートの夫々に残ることを特徴とする請求項２記載の
    使い捨ておむつ。
  4. 【請求項４】 上記上面シートは、水に溶解することを
    特徴とする請求項１〜３のいずれか記載の使い捨ておむ
    つ。
  5. 【請求項５】 上記上面シートは、ミシン目により破断
    可能に固定されていることを特徴とする請求項１に記載
    の使い捨ておむつ。
  6. 【請求項６】 上記上面シートは吸収容量が、５ｇ／cm2
    以上であることを特徴とする請求項１〜５のいずれか記
    載の使い捨ておむつ。
