但し、製造工程中の光硬化ステップ及び電場印加の有無によって、異なる領域で不同の機能を有する凝集物120を形成することができる。凝集物120の非表示領域Bの少なくとも一部での分布密度は、不規則的に配列された凝集物120の表示領域Aでの分布密度より大きくなっている。また、凝集性120は非表示領域Bにおいて特定の配向方向を有していないため、当該領域内の液晶が特定の方向に沿って倒れることもなく、当該領域が暗領域になるので、非表示領域Bの透光性を低減して、表示パネル100の光漏れ現象を改善することができる。
なお、図面は、本考案の実施形態を明瞭に説明するためのもので、図面における凝集物120は、実際のものを均等比例で示したものではない。
本実施形態において、第二基板130上に位置する凝集物120をみると、領域B1での分布密度と領域B2での分布密度が異なっている。大きさが50〜100nmである凝集物120の、領域B1での数が領域B2での数より多い。一例として、シール材140を硬化する際、光照射範囲及光の波長範囲を制御することで、単体に対しても同時に光照射して凝集物120を形成することができる。これにより、一回の光照射ステップでシール材140と凝集物120を同時に形成することができて、照射光のエネルギーを節約するだけではなく、シール材140の付近に位置する単体も一緒に反応されてサイズが大きい凝集物120を形成することもできて、表示パネルの光漏れをさらに減少することができる。

Claims (20)
- 表示領域と非表示領域とを有し、前記非表示領域が前記表示領域に隣接している第一基板と、
前記第一基板上に配置されている複数の凝集物と、を含み
前記凝集物の、前記非表示領域の少なくとも一部領域での分布密度は前記表示領域での分布密度より大きい、ことを特徴とする表示パネル。 - 複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが10〜100nmである前記凝集物の、前記非表示領域での分布密度は前記表示領域での分布密度より大きい、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが10〜50nmである前記凝集物の前記非表示領域での分布密度は、大きさが50〜100nmである前記凝集物の前記非表示領域での分布密度より大きい、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記第一基板に対向配置されている第二基板と、
前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に配置されている配向層と、をさらに有し、
複数の前記凝集物は、前記配向層上に形成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記第一基板に対向配置されている第二基板をさらに有し、
複数の前記凝集物は、前記第二基板上に形成されている、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記非表示領域において、複数の前記凝集物の、前記第一基板上での分布密度と前記第二基板上での分布密度は異なっている、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に挟まれて配置され且つ前記非表示領域の外側に位置しているシール材をさらに有し、
前記シール材は、第一幅及び前記非表示領域に隣接している第一側辺を有し、
前記第二基板上に位置している前記凝集物の、前記第一側辺から前記第一幅の1倍分の距離までの範囲内の分布密度は、前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の1倍分の距離がある位置から前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の3倍分の距離がある位置までの範囲内の分布密度とは異なっている、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記非表示領域に位置している複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが50〜100nmである前記凝集物の、前記第一基板上での分布密度は前記第二基板上での分布密度より小さい、ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に位置している液晶層と、
前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に位置し、前記液晶層が配置できるように、相互に間隔を空けて配置されている複数のスペーサーと、をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項5に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記第一基板上に配置されている薄膜トランジスタ配列と色フィルター層をさらに有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示パネル。
- 表示パネルを備える表示装置であって、
前記表示パネルは、
複数の画素を含む少なくとも一つの画素領域を有する第一基板と、
前記第一基板に対向配置されている第二基板と、
交差配置されて前記画素領域を区画する、少なくとも一つのデータ線及び少なくとも一つの走査線と、
前記画素領域の外側に位置している走査領域と、
前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に配置されている配向層と、
前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に、液晶層が配置できるように相互に間隔を空けて配置されている複数のスペーサーと、
前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に配置され、且つ前記走査領域の外側に位置されているシール材と、
前記配向層上に形成されている複数の凝集物と、を有し、
複数の前記凝集物の、前記走査領域の少なくとも一部での分布密度は、前記画素領域での分布密度より大きい、
ことを特徴する表示装置。 - 前記走査領域には、ゲート線駆動回路またはデータ線駆動回路を有している、ことを特徴とする請求項11記載の表示装置。
- 前記走査領域において、複数の前記凝集物の、前記第一基板上での分布密度と前記第二基板上での分布密度は異なっている、ことを特徴とする請求項11記載の表示装置。
- 複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが10〜50nmである前記凝集物の前記走査領域での分布密度は、大きさが50〜100nmである前記凝集物の前記走査領域での分布密度より大きい、ことを特徴とする請求項11記載の表示装置。
- 前記シール材は、第一幅及び前記走査領域に隣接している第一側辺を有し、
前記第二基板上に位置している前記凝集物の、前記第一側辺から前記第一幅の1倍分の距離までの範囲内の分布密度は、前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の1倍分の距離がある位置から前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の3倍分の距離がある位置までの範囲内の分布密度とは異なっている、ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第二基板上に配置されているブラックマトリクスと、
前記第一基板上に配置されている薄膜トランジスタ配列と、をさらに備える、ことを特徴とする請求項11に記載の表示装置。 - 表示領域と非表示領域とを有し、前記非表示領域が前記表示領域に隣接している第一基板と、
前記第一基板上に配置されている複数の凝集物と、を含み
複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが10〜50nmである前記凝集物の、前記非表示領域での相互距離と前記表示領域での相互距離は異なっている、ことを特徴とする表示パネル。 - 前記第一基板に対向配置されている第二基板と、
前記第二基板上に位置している複数の凝集物と、をさらに有する、ことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の表示パネル。 - 前記非表示領域に位置している複数の前記凝集物において、大きさが50〜100nmである前記凝集物の、前記第一基板上での分布密度は前記第二基板上での分布密度より小さい、ことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の表示パネル。
- 前記第一基板と前記第二基板との間に挟まれて配置され且つ前記非表示領域の外側に位置しているシール材をさらに有し、
前記シール材は、第一幅及び前記非表示領域に隣接している第一側辺を有し、
前記第二基板上に位置している前記凝集物の、前記第一側辺から前記第一幅の1倍分の距離までの範囲内の分布密度は、前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の1倍分の距離がある位置から前記第一側辺と前記第一幅の3倍分の距離がある位置までの範囲内の分布密度とは異なっている、ことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の表示パネル。
