前記駆動トランジスタは、ノードに初期化電圧(Vini)を印加し、

- 第1電源ライン(EVDD)にアノード電極が連結された有機発光ダイオード(OLED)、データ電圧を貯蔵するキャパシタ(CST)、及び前記有機発光ダイオードのカソード電極に第1電極(Vd)が連結され、前記キャパシタの第1電極にゲート電極(Vg)が連結され、前記キャパシタの第2電極(Vs)と第2電源ライン(EVSS)に第2電極が連結された駆動トランジスタ(DT)を有するサブピクセル(SP)を含む表示パネルと、前記表示パネルを駆動する駆動部とを含む発光表示装置の駆動方法であって、
前記第2電源ラインに初期化電圧(Vini)を印加する段階と、
前記初期化電圧が前記駆動トランジスタの第2電極を介して前記有機発光ダイオードのカソード電極と前記駆動トランジスタの第1電極とが接続されたノードに印加されるように前記駆動トランジスタをターンオンさせる段階とを含む、発光表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記初期化電圧が前記第2電源ラインに印加された後、前記駆動トランジスタがターンオンされる、請求項9に記載の発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記初期化電圧が前記ノードに印加された後、前記第1電源ラインが高電位まで増加し、前記高電位は前記OLEDの閾値電圧に対応する、請求項9に記載の発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記第1電源ラインを前記高電位に増加した後、前記駆動トランジスタをターンオフさせ、前記第2電源ラインをグラウンド電圧に保つ段階をさらに含む、請求項11に記載の発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記初期化電圧は、前記OLEDの前記アノード電極と前記カソード電極の電圧差が前記OLEDの閾値電圧より低くなるように選択される、請求項9に記載の発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記初期化電圧は、前記第1電源ラインに印加される電圧から前記有機発光ダイオードの閾値電圧を差し引いた電圧より高く、および/または前記初期化電圧は、前記電圧と前記有機発光ダイオードの降伏電圧とを合算した電圧より低い、請求項9に記載の発光表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記表示パネルによって映像が表示される期間である表示期間に先行する初期化期間の間、前記初期化電圧は前記第2電源ラインに供給される、請求項9乃至14のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置の駆動方法。
