前記前方本体部分と前記後方本体部分とのうちの少なくとも一方に形成されたねじ切り加工された開口と、を備え、
前記本体は、拡張ツールと前記ねじ切り加工された開口との相互作用によって圧縮構成から拡張構成まで内外側方向に拡張させられるように構成され、前記相互作用によって、前記本体が前記拡張構成において前記圧縮構成におけるよりも大きい内外側方向フットプリントを形成するように、前記外側面における前記1つまたは複数の内外側本体部分と前記内側面における前記1つまたは複数の内外側本体部分とを、ほぼ互いから離れるように移動させ前記複数の本体部分間の前記開口を拡張させる、拡張可能な椎体間固定術デバイス。 - ねじ切り加工された開口が、前記前方本体部分と前記後方本体部分との両方に形成されている、請求項1に記載の拡張可能な椎体間固定術デバイス。

- 前記拡張シャフトの前記腔は、前記安定化シャフトが前記拡張シャフトの前記腔内にないとき、前記拡張シャフトを通じた前記拡張可能な椎体間固定術デバイスに対する骨成長材料の挿入を可能にするように構成されている、請求項35に記載の挿入デバイス。
- 前記安定化チップおよび前記拡張チップは、ねじ切り加工されている、請求項31に記載の挿入デバイス。
- 前記作動ハンドルは、回転可能なダイヤルを備える、請求項31に記載の挿入デバイス。
- 前記回転可能なダイヤルは、円筒状本体と、前記円筒状本体から外方に延びており前記回転可能なダイヤルを回転させるべくユーザによって把持されるように構成されている1つまたは複数の係合フィーチャと、を備える、請求項38に記載の挿入デバイス。
- 前記拡張可能な椎体間固定術デバイスの前記先端部に係合するように構成されたねじ切り加工されていない先端チップを有する抽出シャフトをさらに備える、請求項21に記載の挿入デバイス。
