以下は予備段階の結果である。図2Aに示されるシンプルな実験用の設定を使用して、我々は、SO2の確保における7倍の向上(6.6%から44%)を証明した。ここで、225PPMのSO2を包含する合成ガス混合物を泡にして100mlのH2Oに通し、残りのガスは、Horibaのポータブルガスアナライザ(図2B)を使用して分析した。プラズマなしでは、我々は、水中での確保に起因して、SO2の濃度が210PPMに低下したことを観測した(図2B)。このことは、SO2が6.6%低下したことを示している。同じSO2合成ガス混合物が最初に過渡的プラズマ反応器(2インチの直径)を通され、次いで泡にして100mlのH2O内に通された場合、残留ガス内のSO2の成分は125PPMに低下する。このことは、SO2の44%の低減に対応している(図2B)。これら値に基づき、我々は、SO2の確保における7倍の向上(6.6%から44%)を達成することが可能であり、SOx除去効率の向上または拡大する過渡的プラズマの有効性を証明している。ここでの主要なメカニズムは、プラズマがSO2をH2SO4に変換することである。H2SO4は、SO2よりも数桁高い可溶性を有している。この過渡的プラズマベースのアプローチは、SOxスクラバーを、少量の水を使用して、向上された効率を伴って設計することを可能にする。
Claims (55)
- プラズマベースの浄化のためのシステムであって、以下:
流通反応装置であって、
前記流通反応装置が、内部チャンバと、前記内部チャンバ内に少なくとも部分的に配置された電極とを備え、前記内部チャンバが、ガス発生源に流体的に結合されるように構成されており、それにより、前記ガス発生源からのガスが前記流通反応装置の前記内部チャンバ内に流れるようになっており、
前記ガスが、ある濃度の第1の化合物を含み、
前記第1の化合物が、NOx、SOx、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、
前記流通反応装置と、
前記流通反応装置の前記電極に電気的に結合されたパルスジェネレータであって、前記パルスジェネレータが、電気パルスを前記電極に搬送し、それにより、前記ガスからプラズマを形成するように構成されており、前記第1の化合物が、前記プラズマ内で第2の化合物に変換される、前記パルスジェネレータと、
前記流通反応装置の前記内部チャンバに流体的に結合された水供給源であって、前記水供給源が、前記流通反応装置の前記内部チャンバ内に水を注入して、前記電気パルスが前記電極に搬送された場合に前記注入された水の少なくとも第1の部分から・OH(ヒドロキシルラジカル)分子を形成するように構成されており、前記・OH分子が、前記プラズマ内で前記第2の化合物と反応し、それにより、前記第2の化合物を水溶性の化合物に変換するようになっており、前記注入された水の少なくとも第2の部分が、前記水溶性の化合物を前記流通反応装置から除去し、それにより、前記ガス内の前記第1の化合物の前記濃度を低減させる、前記水供給源と

ガス発生源から流通反応装置の内部チャンバ内へガスを受けることであって、
前記ガスが、ある濃度の第1の化合物を含み、
前記第1の化合物が、NOx、SOx、及びこれらの組合せからなる群から選択される、
前記受けることと、
前記内部チャンバ内に位置する電極に電気パルスを搬送することであって、それにより、前記ガスからプラズマが形成されるようになっており、
前記第1の化合物が前記プラズマ内で第2の化合物に変換される、
前記搬送することと、
前記プラズマが存在する中で、前記流通反応装置の前記内部チャンバ内に水を注入することであって、
前記電気パルスが前記電極に搬送された場合に、前記注入された水の少なくとも第1の部分から・OH(ヒドロキシルラジカル)分子が形成され、
前記・OH分子が、前記第2の化合物と反応し、それにより、前記第2の化合物を水溶性の化合物に変換するようになっている、
