Claims (12)
- 燃料噴射器であって、
燃料噴射器ハウジングと、
前記燃料噴射器ハウジングに配設されるバルブシートであって、内向面と、前記内向面と反対の外向面と、前記内向面と前記外向面との間に延在するパイロット開口部とを含むバルブシートと、
前記パイロット開口部の表面に設けられるインサートであって、前記パイロット開口部の前記表面を被覆して燃料噴射器の完成噴霧孔が設けられる第2表面を画定するインサートと、
を包含する燃料噴射器。 - 前記第2表面が非円筒形状を有する、請求項1記載の燃料噴射器。
- 前記完成噴霧孔での流体流の特性を制御するように構成される表面特徴を前記第2表面が含む、請求項1記載の燃料噴射器。
- 前記パイロット開口部の前記表面が表面特徴を含み、前記パイロット開口部の前記表面に前記インサートを保持するようにして前記インサートが前記パイロット開口部の前記表面特徴と嵌合する、請求項1記載の燃料噴射器。
- 前記バルブシートが第1材料であって、前記インサートが前記第1材料と異なる第2材料である、請求項1記載の燃料噴射器。
- 電気めっきプロセスを介して前記パイロット開口部の所定箇所に前記インサートが形成される、請求項1記載の燃料噴射器。
- 燃料噴射器を形成する方法であって、
第1製造プロセスを使用して、燃料噴射器ハウジングの一端部に形成されるバルブシートを含む燃料噴射器ハウジングを構築することであって、前記バルブシートの内面と前記バルブシートの外面との間に延在するパイロット開口部を前記バルブシートが含み、前記パイロット開口部が第1表面を画定することと、
第1製造プロセスとは異なる第2製造プロセスを使用して前記第1表面にインサートを形成することであって、前記第1表面を被覆して前記燃料噴射器の完成噴霧孔を画定する第2表面をインサートが有することと、
を包含する方法。 - 前記第2製造プロセスが電気めっきを含む、請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記第1製造プロセスが金属粉末射出成形を含む、請求項8記載の方法。
- 前記第1表面にインサートを形成する前記ステップが、前記インサートの前記第2表面に非円筒形状を設けることを含む、請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記第1表面にインサートを形成する前記ステップが、完成噴霧孔での流体流の特性を制御するように構成される表面特徴を前記第2表面に設けることを含む、請求項7記載の方法。
- 前記第1表面に表面特徴を設けるステップをさらに包含し、前記第1表面にインサートを形成する前記ステップが、前記インサートと第1表面の前記表面特徴との間に嵌合部を形成することを含み、前記第1表面に前記インサートを保持するように前記嵌合部が機能する、請求項7記載の方法。
