Claims (15)

複数の第2の単極刺激の各々に対してアノードとして前記リードの電極のうちの1又は2以上の電極の部分集合を用いて実施された複数の該第2の単極刺激の各々に対する第2の応答を受信する段階と、
前記第2の応答に基づいて1又は2以上の電極の第2の部分集合を選択する段階と、
前記第1の部分集合及び第2の部分集合に関する前記応答に少なくとも部分的に基づいて1又は2以上の電極のプログラミング部分集合を選択する段階と、
前記プログラミング部分集合を用いて実施された異なる刺激振幅を有する複数の第3の単極刺激の各々に対する第3の応答を受信する段階と、
前記第3の応答に基づいてプログラミング刺激振幅を選択する段階と、
前記1又は2以上の電極の前記プログラミング部分集合と前記プログラミング刺激振幅とを用いて前記埋込可能なパルス発生器をプログラムするための指示を受信する段階と、
前記リードの前記電極を通して前記患者に対する電気刺激を発生させるための、前記1又は2以上の電極の前記プログラミング部分集合と前記プログラミング刺激振幅とを前記電気刺激システムの前記埋込可能なパルス発生器に提供する信号を生起する段階と、

前記1又は2以上の電極の前記プログラミング部分集合を選択する段階が、前記第1の部分集合、第2の部分集合、及び第3の部分集合に関する前記第1、第2、及び第3の応答に少なくとも部分的に基づいて前記1又は2以上の電極の前記プログラミング部分集合を選択することを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。 - 前記第1の応答を受信する段階が、臨床医又は患者から該第1の応答を受信することを含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のシステム。

前記第1のタイプの神経要素とは異なる第2のタイプの神経要素を選択的に刺激するように構成された複数の第2の刺激の各々に対して1又は2以上の電極の部分集合を用いて実施された複数の該第2の刺激の各々に対する第2の応答を受信する段階と、
前記第2の応答に少なくとも部分的に基づいて1又は2以上の電極の第2の部分集合を選択する段階と、
前記第1の部分集合及び第2の部分集合に関する前記応答に基づいて1又は2以上の電極のプログラミング部分集合を選択する段階と、
前記1又は2以上の電極の前記プログラミング部分集合とプログラミング刺激振幅とを用いて前記埋込可能なパルス発生器をプログラムするための指示を受信する段階と、
