(1) 外科用器具であって、
外側シャフトと、
前記外側シャフトに連結されたエンドエフェクタと、
前記外側シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記回転可能な駆動シャフトから前記エンドエフェクタにトルクを伝達するように構成された複数の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、を備え、前記複数のクラッチの各々が、前記駆動シャフトの回転を前記外側シャフトに対する前記エンドエフェクタの複数の動作のうちの1つに変換するように構成されている、外科用器具。
(2) 前記エンドエフェクタの前記複数の動作が、前記外側シャフトに対する前記エンドエフェクタの回転を含む、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(3) 前記エンドエフェクタの前記複数の動作が、エンドエフェクタ機能の作動を含む、実施態様2に記載の外科用器具。
(4) 前記エンドエフェクタが、間に組織を把持するように構成された第1及び第2のジョーを備え、前記エンドエフェクタ機能の作動が、前記第1及び第2のジョーを開放構成と閉鎖構成との間で移動させることを含む、実施態様3に記載の外科用器具。
(5) 前記複数の選択的に係合可能なクラッチが、第1のクラッチ及び第2のクラッチを備え、前記複数のエンドエフェクタの動作が、第1のエンドエフェクタの動作及び第2のエンドエフェクタの動作を含み、前記駆動シャフトは、前記第1のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第1のエンドエフェクタの動作を駆動し、前記駆動シャフトは、前記第2のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第2のエフェクタの動作を駆動し、前記外科用器具が、第1のロックアウト及び第2のロックアウトを更に備え、前記第1のロックアウトは、前記第1のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第2のエンドエフェクタの動作をロックアウトするように構成されており、前記第2のロックアウトは、前記第2のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第1のエンドエフェクタ機能をロックアウトするように構成されている、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(7) 前記電磁石への電流の流れが存在しない場合、各クラッチが、係合解除状態にある、実施態様6に記載の外科用器具。
(8) 複数のロックアウトを更に備え、各ロックアウトは、対応する前記クラッチがその係合解除状態にあるとき、前記エンドエフェクタの動作のうちの1つを防止するように構成されている、実施態様7に記載の外科用器具。
(9) 前記回転する駆動シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転しない細長い部材を更に備える、実施態様1に記載の外科用器具。
(10) 各クラッチが、前記回転しない細長い部材に沿って配設された電磁石を含む、実施態様9に記載の外科用器具。
(12) 外科用器具であって、
外側シャフトと、
前記外側シャフトに連結されたエンドエフェクタと、
前記外側シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第1の動作を引き起こすように構成された、前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの遠位部分に沿って配設された第1の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、
前記第1のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第2の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、を備え、前記第2のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第2の動作を引き起こすように構成されている、外科用器具。
(13) 前記第2のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第3の選択的に係合可能なクラッチを更に備え、前記第3のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第3の動作を引き起こすように構成されている、実施態様12に記載の外科用器具。
(14) 前記第1の動作が、エンドエフェクタ機能の作動である、実施態様12に記載の外科用器具。
(15) 前記エンドエフェクタが、間に組織を把持するように構成された第1及び第2のジョーを備え、
前記エンドエフェクタ機能の作動は、前記第1及び第2のジョーを開放構成と閉鎖構成との間で移動させることを含む、実施態様14に記載の外科用器具。
(17) 前記第2のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第3の選択的に係合可能なクラッチを更に備え、前記第3のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの関節運動を引き起こすように構成されている、実施態様16に記載の外科用器具。
(18) 各クラッチが、電磁石を含む、実施態様12に記載の外科用器具。
(19) 各電磁石が、前記駆動シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転しない細長い部材に沿って配設されている、実施態様18に記載の外科用器具。
(20) 各クラッチが、前記回転する駆動シャフトの周囲に配置されており、かつ前記回転する駆動シャフトに対して近位方向及び遠位方向に並進するように構成されている、永久磁石を更に備える、実施態様18に記載の外科用器具。
エンドエフェクタに連結される外側シャフトの内側ルーメン内で駆動シャフトを回転させることと、
第1のクラッチを係合させて、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達し、前記エンドエフェクタの第1の動作を引き起こすことと、
第2のクラッチを係合させて、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達し、前記第1の動作とは異なる前記エンドエフェクタの第2の動作を引き起こすことと、を含む、外科的方法。
(22) 第3のクラッチを係合させて、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達し、前記第1の動作及び前記第2の動作とは異なる前記エンドエフェクタの第3の動作を引き起こすことを更に含む、実施態様21に記載の外科的方法。
(23) 前記第1の動作が、エンドエフェクタ機能の作動である、実施態様21に記載の外科的方法。
(24) 前記エンドエフェクタが、間に組織を把持するように構成された第1及び第2のジョーを備え、前記エンドエフェクタ機能の作動が、前記第1及び第2のジョーを開放構成と閉鎖構成との間で移動させることを含む、実施態様23に記載の外科的方法。
(25) 前記第2の動作が、前記エンドエフェクタの回転である、実施態様23に記載の外科的方法。
(27) 前記動作を引き起こす前記クラッチが係合解除されるとき、前記エンドエフェクタを動作しないようにロックすることを更に含む、実施態様21に記載の外科的方法。
(28) 前記第1のクラッチ及び前記第2のクラッチのうちのいずれかを係合させることが、電磁石を作動させることを含む、実施態様21に記載の外科的方法。
Claims (20)
- 外科用器具であって、
外側シャフトと、
前記外側シャフトに連結されたエンドエフェクタと、
前記外側シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記回転可能な駆動シャフトから前記エンドエフェクタにトルクを伝達するように構成された複数の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、を備え、前記複数のクラッチの各々が、前記駆動シャフトの回転を前記外側シャフトに対する前記エンドエフェクタの複数の動作のうちの1つに変換するように構成されている、外科用器具。 - 前記エンドエフェクタの前記複数の動作が、前記外側シャフトに対する前記エンドエフェクタの回転を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタの前記複数の動作が、エンドエフェクタ機能の作動を含む、請求項2に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、間に組織を把持するように構成された第1及び第2のジョーを備え、前記エンドエフェクタ機能の作動が、前記第1及び第2のジョーを開放構成と閉鎖構成との間で移動させることを含む、請求項3に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記複数の選択的に係合可能なクラッチが、第1のクラッチ及び第2のクラッチを備え、前記複数のエンドエフェクタの動作が、第1のエンドエフェクタの動作及び第2のエンドエフェクタの動作を含み、前記駆動シャフトは、前記第1のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第1のエンドエフェクタの動作を駆動し、前記駆動シャフトは、前記第2のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第2のエフェクタの動作を駆動し、前記外科用器具が、第1のロックアウト及び第2のロックアウトを更に備え、前記第1のロックアウトは、前記第1のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第2のエンドエフェクタの動作をロックアウトするように構成されており、前記第2のロックアウトは、前記第2のクラッチが前記駆動シャフトと駆動係合しているときに前記第1のエンドエフェクタ機能をロックアウトするように構成されている、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 各クラッチが、電磁石を含む、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記電磁石への電流の流れが存在しない場合、各クラッチが、係合解除状態にある、請求項6に記載の外科用器具。
- 複数のロックアウトを更に備え、各ロックアウトは、対応する前記クラッチがその係合解除状態にあるとき、前記エンドエフェクタの動作のうちの1つを防止するように構成されている、請求項7に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記回転する駆動シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転しない細長い部材を更に備える、請求項1に記載の外科用器具。
- 各クラッチが、前記回転しない細長い部材に沿って配設された電磁石を含む、請求項9に記載の外科用器具。
- 各クラッチが、前記回転する駆動シャフトに対して近位方向及び遠位方向に並進するように構成された、前記回転する駆動シャフトの周囲に配設された永久磁石を更に備える、請求項10に記載の外科用器具。
- 外科用器具であって、
外側シャフトと、
前記外側シャフトに連結されたエンドエフェクタと、
前記外側シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転可能な駆動シャフトと、
前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第1の動作を引き起こすように構成された、前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの遠位部分に沿って配設された第1の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、
前記第1のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第2の選択的に係合可能なクラッチと、を備え、前記第2のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第2の動作を引き起こすように構成されている、外科用器具。 - 前記第2のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第3の選択的に係合可能なクラッチを更に備え、前記第3のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの第3の動作を引き起こすように構成されている、請求項12に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記第1の動作が、エンドエフェクタ機能の作動である、請求項12に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記エンドエフェクタが、間に組織を把持するように構成された第1及び第2のジョーを備え、
前記エンドエフェクタ機能の作動は、前記第1及び第2のジョーを開放構成と閉鎖構成との間で移動させることを含む、請求項14に記載の外科用器具。 - 前記第2の動作が、前記エンドエフェクタの回転である、請求項14に記載の外科用器具。
- 前記第2のクラッチの近位にある前記回転可能な駆動シャフトの一部分に沿って配設された第3の選択的に係合可能なクラッチを更に備え、前記第3のクラッチが、前記駆動シャフトからトルクを伝達して前記エンドエフェクタの関節運動を引き起こすように構成されている、請求項16に記載の外科用器具。
- 各クラッチが、電磁石を含む、請求項12に記載の外科用器具。
- 各電磁石が、前記駆動シャフトの内側ルーメン内に同軸状に配設された回転しない細長い部材に沿って配設されている、請求項18に記載の外科用器具。
