Claims (4)
- 真空排気可能な凍結乾燥室内に液状の被乾燥物を充填した容器をセットし、被乾燥物を凍結させる凍結工程と、凍結乾燥室内を真空排気した状態でこの凍結した被乾燥物を乾燥させる乾燥工程とを含む凍結乾燥方法において、
凍結工程が、凍結乾燥室内を大気圧とし、この凍結乾燥室内に配置される冷却体表面に氷結晶が凝縮した霜を付着させる第1工程と、
凍結乾燥室内を10kPa以下の所定圧力まで真空排気する第2工程と、
液状の被乾燥物が過冷却された状態で、冷却体に対峙させて凍結乾燥室内に設けたガス導入ラインのガス導入口から大気圧と同等以上の圧力のガスを導入する第3工程と、を含むことを特徴とする凍結乾燥方法。 - 前記第1工程は、露点管理された水蒸気を含むガスを凍結乾燥室内に導入する工程を更に含むことを特徴とする請求項1記載の凍結乾燥方法。
- 前記第1工程は、単位面積当たりの冷却体表面への霜の付着量を測定する工程を更に含み、霜の付着量に応じて前記第1工程の終点が判別されることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載の凍結乾燥方法。
- 被乾燥物を充填した容器がセットされる凍結乾燥チャンバと、被乾燥物から発生した水蒸気を凝結して捕集するコールドトラップが設けられる捕集チャンバと、凍結乾燥チャンバ及び捕集チャンバ内を真空排気する真空ポンプと、凍結乾燥チャンバと捕集チャンバを選択的に連通する連通手段とを備え、凍結乾燥チャンバの大気圧下で被乾燥物を凍結させ、凍結乾燥チャンバ内を真空排気した状態でコールドトラップにより水蒸気を捕集しながら、凍結した被乾燥物を乾燥させる凍結乾燥装置において、
凍結乾燥チャンバ内に配置されてその表面に氷結晶が凝縮した霜の付着を可能とする冷却体と、ガス導入口が冷却体に対峙させて配置されるガス導入ラインとを更に備えることを特徴とする凍結乾燥装置。
