Abstract
Description
本発明の第1の態様は、二次電池と、前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段と、前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路と、を備え、前記制御回路は、前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率が所定値を超えたときに、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする電池パックである。
本発明の第2の態様は、第1の態様において、前記充電電流は、前記二次電池の電池容量を増やすための急速充電電流と、前記二次電池の満充電を維持するための補充電電流とを含み、前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率は、前記充電電流が前記急速充電電流から前記補充電電流に切替えられたときの前記充電電流の変化率に相当する。
本発明の第3の態様は、第2の態様において、前記急速充電電流は、第1デューティ比のパルス電流からなり、前記補充電電流は、前記第1デューティ比よりも短い第2デューティ比のパルス電流からなり、前記充電電流のデューティ比が、第1のデューティ比から第2のデューティ比に切り替わったときに、前記制御回路は、前記電池パックが満充電されたと判断する。
本発明の第4の態様は、上記第1から第3の態様のいずれか一の態様において、前記二次電池の充電状態を表示する表示手段をさらに備え、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断されたときに、前記制御回路は、前記二次電池の満充電状態を前記表示手段に表示させる。
本発明の第5の態様は、充電器と、前記充電器によって充電され、二次電池、前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段、及び前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路を備える電池パックと、を有する充電システムにおいて、前記充電器は、前記電池パックの電池容量を増やすための急速充電電流と、前記電池パックの満充電を維持するための補充電電流とを、選択的に前記電池パックに供給し、前記充電電流が、前記急速充電電流から前記補充電電流に切り替わったときに、前記電池パックの前記制御回路は、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする充電システム。
本発明の第6の態様は、二次電池と、前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段と、前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路とを備える電池パックを充電する方法であって、前記制御回路は、前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率が所定値を超えたときに、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする方法。
本発明の第7の態様は、上記第6の態様において、前記電池パックは、前記二次電池の充電状態を表示する表示手段をさらに備え、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断されたときに、前記制御回路は、前記二次電池の満充電状態を前記表示手段に表示させる。

- 二次電池と、
前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段と、
前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路と、
を備え、
前記制御回路は、前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率が所定値を超えたときに、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする電池パック。 - 前記充電電流は、前記二次電池の電池容量を増やすための急速充電電流と、前記二次電池の満充電を維持するための補充電電流とを含み、
前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率は、前記充電電流が前記急速充電電流から前記補充電電流に切替えられたときの前記充電電流の変化率に相当する、請求項1記載の電池パック。 - 前記急速充電電流は、第1デューティ比のパルス電流からなり、
前記補充電電流は、前記第1デューティ比よりも短い第2デューティ比のパルス電流からなり、
前記充電電流のデューティ比が、第1のデューティ比から第2のデューティ比に切り替わったときに、前記制御回路は、前記電池パックが満充電されたと判断する、請求項2記載の電池パック。 - 前記二次電池の充電状態を表示する表示手段をさらに備え、
前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断されたときに、前記制御回路は、前記二次電池の満充電状態を前記表示手段に表示させる、請求項1から3のいずれか一に記載の電池パック。 - 充電器と、前記充電器によって充電され、二次電池、前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段、及び前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路を備える電池パックと、を有する充電システムにおいて、
前記充電器は、前記電池パックの電池容量を増やすための急速充電電流と、前記電池パックの満充電を維持するための補充電電流とを、選択的に前記電池パックに供給し、
前記充電電流が、前記急速充電電流から前記補充電電流に切り替わったときに、前記電池パックの前記制御回路は、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする充電システム。 - 二次電池と、前記二次電池を充電する充電電流を計測する電流計測手段と、前記電流計測手段の出力が入力される制御回路とを備える電池パックを充電する方法であって、
前記制御回路は、前記充電電流の単位時間における減少率が所定値を超えたときに、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断する、ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記電池パックは、前記二次電池の充電状態を表示する表示手段をさらに備え、前記二次電池が満充電されたと判断されたときに、前記制御回路は、前記二次電池の満充電状態を前記表示手段に表示させる、請求項6に記載の方法。
