Description
電力制御ユニットは、電力制御ユニットを構成する複数の構成部品と、トランスアクスルケースの表面上に配置され複数の構成部品を収容するPCUケースとを備える。
PCUケースは、
PCUケースの側面を構成する一対の長辺側側壁及び一対の短辺側側壁と、PCUケースの上面及び下面の側にそれぞれ形成された上面側開口及び下面側開口と、下面側開口を囲むように形成されトランスアクスルケースの表面に締結される締結部とを含み、長方形断面の筒状に形成されたケース本体と、
PCUケースの上面を構成し、上面側開口を覆うアッパーカバーと、
を含む。
トランスアクスルケースの表面がPCUケースの下面を兼ねている。
ケース本体は、ケース本体の内部においてケース本体の短手方向に沿って延び、一対の長辺側側壁の間を繋ぎ、かつ、PCUケースの上面側及び下面側にそれぞれ位置する上方室と下方室とにケース本体の内部を仕切るように板状に形成された梁部材と、少なくとも一部が梁部材と接するように形成され上方室と下方室とを連通する中間開口とをさらに含む。
複数の構成部品の少なくとも1つは、梁部材によって支持されている。複数の構成部品の少なくとも2つは、上方室と下方室との間で中間開口を介して電気的に接続されている。
図1〜図7を参照して、本発明の実施の形態1について説明する。
図1は、実施の形態1に係る電力制御ユニット20の搭載構造の一例を模式的に表した図である。図1に示す構成は、電動車両を駆動する車両駆動ユニット1を備えている。車両駆動ユニット1は、一例として、回転電機及びギヤ類の双方を収容するトランスアクスルケース(T/Aケース)10を備えている。なお、T/Aケース10は、例えば、アルミニウム等の金属製である。
T/Aケース10内のモータジェネレータ12及びギヤ類14は、駆動時に振動し、その振動はT/Aケース10に伝播され、モータノイズ及びギヤノイズとして騒音を発生させる。本実施形態とは異なり、PCUの下面を覆うロアカバーを含み、かつ、T/Aケースから独立して閉じられたPCUケースを備えるPCUをT/Aケースの表面の上に配置することが考えられる。このような構成が採用されると、PCUケースとT/Aケースとの間に空気層(より詳細には、開口部を介して外部と通じている空気層)が存在し、特定の周波数帯において空気層にヘルムホルツ共鳴が生じ得る。その結果、PCUケースからの振動騒音が増大することが懸念される。
次に、図8を参照して、本発明の実施の形態2について説明する。

図9(A)及び図9(B)は、それぞれ、本発明に係る梁部材の他の形成例を表した図である。より詳細には、図3と同様に、図9(A)及び図9(B)は、それぞれ、アッパーカバー26の側からケース本体100及び110を見た図である。
本発明に係る「ケース本体」内のPCUの構成部品の配置は、上述した各例と上下逆であってもよい。具体的には、上述した図5(A)に示す例では、上方室36に基板50が配置され、基板50の下方にパワーモジュール52及びコンデンサ54が順に配置されている。このような例とは逆に、下方室38に基板50が配置され、基板50の上方にパワーモジュール52及びコンデンサ54が順に配置されてもよい。このことは、図8に示す例についても同様である。
本発明に係る「ケース本体」に関する「長方形断面を有する筒状」とは、必ずしも厳密な長方形断面に限られず、略長方形断面であってもよい。また、ケース本体は、必ずしも図2に示す例のようにストレートの筒状に形成されたものに限られず、例えば段付きの筒状に形成されていてもよい。

ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1つに記載の電力制御ユニット。 - 前記上方室と前記下方室との間で前記中間開口を介して電気的に接続されている前記複数の構成部品は、基板と、複数の半導体スイッチング素子を含むパワー半導体モジュールとの組み合わせを含む
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜4の何れか1つに記載の電力制御ユニット。 - 前記梁部材は、前記一対の短辺側側壁の少なくとも一方と全体的に接触し、かつ一体的に形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れか1つに記載の電力制御ユニット。 - 前記梁部材は、前記一対の長辺側側壁及び前記一対の短辺側側壁のそれぞれと全体的に接触し、かつ一体的に形成されている
ことを特徴とする請求項1〜6の何れか1つに記載の電力制御ユニット。 - 前記締結部は、締結具を介して前記トランスアクスルケースの前記表面に直に締結されている
