Abstract
Description
図1に示すように、本実施形態に係る摺動部品1は、鉄基地11に黒鉛粒子13が分散した鉄系基材10と、鉄系基材10に形成された錫を主材とする錫皮膜20と、を備えた摺動部品である。以下の鉄系基材10と錫皮膜20について詳述する。
以下に本実施形態に係る摺動部品1を説明した後、この摺動部品1の製造方法を説明する。
本実施形態の摺動部品1係る鉄系基材10は、鉄基地11に分散させた黒鉛粒子13の黒鉛を固体潤滑材として作用させ、摺動部品1の摺動特性を高めるためのものである。したがって、鉄系基材10は、黒鉛粒子13を含んでいればよく、炭素量が1.5質量%以上を含有した鉄および炭素を主成分とした合金であってもよく、鉄系合金粉末と黒鉛粉末とを圧粉成形後、焼結した焼結体であってもよい。例えば、鉄および炭素を主成分とした合金である場合には、鉄基地11に対して含有する炭素量が1.5質量%以上であれば、鉄基地11に含有する黒鉛が析出する。したがって、この場合には、鉄系基材10として、鋳鉄のみならず、鋳鋼も挙げることができる。
錫皮膜20は、錫を主材とする皮膜である。本実施形態では、錫皮膜20は、摺動時に、鉄系基材10の黒鉛粒子13から脱離した黒鉛の微粒子を、保持する機能を有するものである。これに加えて、錫皮膜20は、摺動時に相手部材と接触することで塑性流動し、鉄系基材10の表面において、摺動部品1の摺動面の馴染み性を高めるものである。このような錫皮膜は、錫を主材とした皮膜である。
以下に、上述した摺動部品1の製造方法を説明する。
まず、摺動部品1を構成する鉄系基材10を準備する。鉄系基材10は、上述した鉄基地11に黒鉛粒子13が分散したものである。本実施形態では、鉄系基材10の一例として、球状黒鉛鋳鉄を準備する。なお、鉄基地11の表面(少なくとも摺動面に対応する表面)に、焼入処理、浸窒処理、または窒化処理が施されていてもよく、この鉄基地11の表面を研磨してもよい。
次に、鉄系基材10の表面に、錫を主材とする錫皮膜20を成膜する。成膜工程では、上述した錫を主材とした錫材料(金属材料)を溶融した溶融物を、鉄基地11の表面に被覆する(溶融メッキを行う)ことにより錫皮膜20を成膜してもよい。この他にも、錫皮膜20を電気メッキ、CVD、またはPVD等により成膜してもよく、その後の二次加工等を行うことにより、錫皮膜20から鉄系基材10に由来する黒鉛粒子13を露出させることができるものであれば、特に限定されるものではない。
さらに、成膜工程後、錫皮膜に対して熱処理工程を行ってもよい。具体的には、熱処理工程では、錫皮膜20を120℃以上の温度、より好ましくは180℃以上の温度で加熱する。これにより、鉄系基材10の鉄基地11と錫皮膜20との界面において、錫皮膜20の錫材料が溶融し、鉄基地11に対する錫皮膜20の密着性を高めることができ、錫皮膜20の表面の平滑化を図ることができる。
本実施形態に係る摺動部品1は、その摺動面に潤滑油またはグリースが存在する環境下で摺動する(用いられる)ことが好ましく、特に、摺動面に潤滑油を強制的に供給するような環境下で摺動することがより好ましい。
以下に、図3および図4を参照し、第2実施形態に係る摺動部品1とその製造方法について説明する。第2実施形態に係る摺動部品1が、第1実施形態に係る摺動部品1と相違する点は、鉄系基材10の表面の状態である。したがって、第1実施形態の摺動部品1と同じ構成および製造方法における同じ工程については、その詳細な説明を省略する。
以下に、図5および図6を参照し、第3実施形態に係る摺動部品1とその製造方法について説明する。第3実施形態に係る摺動部品1が、第2実施形態に係る摺動部品1と相違する点は、鉄系基材10に鱗片状の黒鉛粒子13が分散した鉄系基材を用いた点である。したがって、第2実施形態の摺動部品1と同じ構成および製造方法における同じ工程については、その詳細な発明を省略する。
実施例1に係る摺動部品を作製した。まず、鉄系基材として、鉄基地がフェライトであり、この鉄基地に球状の黒鉛粒子が分散した基材(球状黒鉛鋳鉄:FCD450)を準備した。具体的には、球状黒鉛鋳鉄の鋳塊から外径44mm、内径20mm、厚さ7mmのリング状のディスク試験片を旋削により切り出した。次に、ディスク試験片であるドーナツ状の表面を、ダイヤモンドスラリーの研磨剤で、算術平均粗さRa0.01μm以下まで研磨した。
実施例1と同様に、摺動部品を作製した。実施例1と相違する点は、鉄系基材として、黒鉛粒子が存在しない鉄基地からなる基材(機械構造用炭素鋼:S45C(JIS規格))を用いた点であり、実施例1と同様の条件で、鉄基地の表面に錫皮膜を成膜した。
実施例1のディスク試験片に対して、錫皮膜を成膜していないものを比較例2のディスク試験片とした。
実施例1のディスク試験片に対して、錫皮膜を形成せず、ローラバニシングにより鉄基地から黒鉛粒子を突出させたものを比較例3のディスク試験片とした。
実施例1および比較例1〜3に係るディスク試験片に対して、摩擦係数を測定した。具体的には、外径40mm、内径30mm、厚さ14mmの炭素鋼(S45C(JIS規格))からなるリング試験片を準備した。ディスク試験片に接触するリング試験片のドーナツ状の端面を、ダイヤモンドスラリーの研磨剤で、算術平均粗さRa0.01μm以下まで研磨した。
実施例1と同じようにして、ディスク試験片を作製した。
実施例1と同じようにして、ディスク試験片を作製した。実施例1と相違する点は、錫皮膜を成膜後、熱処理前に、ローラバニシング処理を行った点である。
実施例1と同じようにして、ディスク試験片を作製した。実施例1と相違する点は、錫皮膜に、錫を主材として亜鉛が添加された粒子を用いて、錫に亜鉛が添加された錫皮膜を成膜した点である。なお、錫皮膜に含有している亜鉛の含有量は、15質量%である。
実施例4と同じようにしてディスク試験片を作製した。実施例4と相違する点は、錫皮膜を成膜後、熱処理前に、ローラバニシング処理を行った点である。
比較例2と同じようにしてディスク試験片を作製した。したがって、比較例4は、錫皮膜を形成せず、鉄系基材の表面を研磨した試験片である。
実施例6―1〜6−4のディスク試験片を、実施例1と同じようにして作製した。実施例6−1が、実施例1と相違する点は、錫皮膜に対して熱処理を行っていない点である。実施例6−2、6−3が、実施例1と相違する点は、錫皮膜に対する熱処理の温度を、それぞれ180℃、210℃にした点である。実施例6−4は、実施例1と同じ条件で作製した。
実施例7に係るディスク試験片を作製し、鉄系基材の炭素粒子の形状による影響を確認する試験を行った。実施例1と相違する点は、鉄基地に鱗片状の黒鉛粒子が分散した基材(ねずみ鋳鉄:FC250)を準備し、この鉄系基材に実施例1と同じようにして、錫皮膜を成膜した点である。実施例1と同じようにして摩擦試験を行った。この結果を、図12に示す。
Claims (11)
- 鉄基地に黒鉛粒子が分散した鉄系基材と、前記鉄系基材に形成された錫を主材とする錫皮膜と、を備えた摺動部品であって、
前記黒鉛粒子は、前記錫皮膜から露出していることを特徴とする摺動部品。 - 前記黒鉛粒子は、鱗片状の黒鉛粒子であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記錫皮膜は、錫からなる皮膜、若しくは錫に亜鉛、銀、アンチモン、鉛、インジウム、またはビスマスが添加された皮膜であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記黒鉛粒子は、前記鉄基地の表面から突出していることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 前記摺動部品は、潤滑油またはグリースの潤滑環境下で摺動することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の摺動部品。
- 鉄基地に黒鉛粒子が分散した鉄系基材を準備する準備工程と、
前記鉄系基材の表面に、錫を主材とする錫皮膜を成膜する成膜工程とを含み、
前記成膜工程において、前記錫皮膜から前記黒鉛粒子が露出するように、前記錫皮膜を成膜することを特徴とする摺動部品の製造方法。 - 前記成膜工程において、錫を主材とする錫粒子を前記鉄系基材に投射することにより、前記錫粒子の一部を付着させることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摺動部品の製造方法。
- 前記準備工程において、前記黒鉛粒子が、鱗片状の黒鉛粒子である鉄系基材を準備することを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摺動部品の製造方法。
- 前記成膜工程において、前記錫粒子として、錫からなる粒子、若しくは錫に亜鉛、銀、アンチモン、鉛、インジウム、またはビスマスが添加された粒子を前記鉄系基材に投射することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の摺動部品の製造方法。
- 前記成膜工程の後、前記錫皮膜の表面を、前記鉄系基材に向かって押圧することにより、前記鉄基地の表面から前記黒鉛粒子を突出させることを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摺動部品の製造方法。
- 前記成膜工程の後、前記錫皮膜を120℃以上の温度で加熱する熱処理工程を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の摺動部品の製造方法。
