Abstract
Description
透明フィルム基材の表側電極が形成された表面上に形成され、表側電極に接続された表側端子と、透明フィルム基材の他方の表面上に形成された裏側電極と、透明フィルム基材の裏側電極が形成された表面上に、裏側電極に接続され、かつ、表側端子と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子とを有し、透明フィルム基材の一辺の内側に接続端子部を有する第1積層体と、透明フィルム基材と、透明フィルム基材の裏側の表面上に形成された裏側電極と、透明フィルム基材の裏側電極が形成された表面上に、裏側電極に接続され、かつ、第1積層体の接続端子部と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子とを有し、透明フィルム基材の一辺の内側に接続端子部を有する第2積層体と、前記第1積層体および第2積層体において、第1積層体と第2積層体の間に接着層が設けられ、第1積層体には、第2積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられ、第2積層体には、第1積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられ、第1積層体と第2積層体が、上部保護フィルムおよび下部保護フィルムの一対のフィルムで積層され、前記一対のフィルムの両方において、第1積層体の接続端子部および第2積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられているタッチセンサにおいて、平面視において、第1積層体、第2積層体、上部保護フィルム、下部保護フィルムのいずれも切り欠き部の開口端から奥部に向かって漸次幅広な台形形状になるように構成した。
本発明のタッチセンサ9は、透明フィルム基材1と、透明フィルム基材1の一方の表面上に形成された表側電極5と、透明フィルム基材1の表側電極5が形成された表面上に形成され、表側電極5に接続された表側端子7と、透明フィルム基材1の他方の表面上に形成された裏側電極6と、透明フィルム基材1の裏側電極6が形成された表面上に、裏側電極6に接続され、かつ、表側端子7と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子8とを有し、透明フィルム基材1は、透明フィルム基材1の一辺の内側に接続端子部11を有し、透明フィルム基材1が、上部保護フィルム2および下部保護フィルム3の一対のフィルムで積層され、前記一対のフィルムの両方において、表側端子7および裏側端子8と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部4が設けられているタッチセンサ9において、平面視において、切り欠き部4の開口端10から奥部12に向かって漸次幅広な台形形状になるように構成したものである(図1(a)、(b)参照)。
透明フィルム基材1を構成する材料としては、透明性を有する樹脂からなるものであれば特に限定されるものではないが、具体的には、シクロオレフィンポリマー(COP)、ポリエチレンテレフタレート(PET)等のポリエチレン系樹脂、ポリエーテルサルフォン等のポリエステル系樹脂等を挙げることができる。また、本発明に用いられる透明フィルム基材1の厚みとしては、上記表側電極5、裏側電極6、表側端子7、裏側端子8、接続端子部11等を安定的に支持することができるものであれば特に限定されるものではないが、通常50μm〜100μmの範囲内とすることができる。また、供給される形態はロール状、枚葉状のいずれでも良く、加工法、加工機械に準じて選択すればよい。
本発明における表側電極5は、上記透明フィルム基材1の一方の表面上に形成されるものであり、裏側電極6は、上記透明フィルム基材1の他方の表面上に形成されるものである。
本発明における表側端子7は透明フィルム基材1の表側電極5が形成された表面上に形成され、表側電極5に接続されるものであり、裏側端子8は、透明フィルム基材1の裏側電極6が形成された表面上に表側端子7と平面視上重ならないように形成され、裏側電極6に接続されるものであり、透明フィルム基材1の表面上に直接形成される(図5参照)。
なお、図2(b)の断面図は、図2(a)の平面図におけるA− A線での断面に対応する断面図となっている。また、図5は、本発明の実施形態に係るタッチセンサ9の分解斜視図である。
本発明における上部保護フィルム2および下部保護フィルム3は、絶縁性を有するものであれば特に限定されるものではないが、上記電極を覆うように形成されるものである場合には、透明性を有するものであることが好ましい。このような絶縁性および透明性を有する上部保護フィルム2および下部保護フィルム3としては、例えば、アクリル樹脂やSiO2等、ウレタン系樹脂、ポリエステル系樹脂、ポリスチレン系樹脂、ポリアミド系樹脂、塩素化ポリオレフィン樹脂、塩素化エチレン‐酢酸ビニル共重合体樹脂、環化ゴム、クマロンインデン樹脂などの熱可塑性樹脂を挙げることができる。なお、表面保護用粘着フィルム(PSA)を用いてもよい。
本発明における切り欠き部4は、表側端子7部および裏側端子8部と対向する領域を少なくとも切り欠いて形成されている。
切り欠き部4は、奥部12と、奥部12の両端に続き開口端10に至る側部19とを有している。この切り欠き部4は、平面視において、開口端10から奥部12に向かって漸次幅広な台形形状に形成されている(図3、図5参照)。
つまり、外角15が30度以上60度以下の範囲内であれば、切り欠き部4の形状はどのような形状であってもよい。
本発明のタッチセンサ9は、透明フィルム基材1、表側電極5、表側端子7、裏側電極6、裏側端子8、上部保護フィルム2および下部保護フィルム3を少なくとも有するものであるが、必要に応じて他の構成を有するものであってもよい。このような他の構成としては、例えば、電極および端子を接続する引き回し配線16を挙げることができる。
なお、図3(b)の断面図は、図3(a)の平面図におけるA− A線での断面に対応する断面図となっている。
また、図6は、本発明の実施形態に係るタッチセンサ9の分解斜視図である。

Claims (4)
- 透明フィルム基材と、
透明フィルム基材の一方の表面上に形成された表側電極と、
透明フィルム基材の表側電極が形成された表面上に形成され、表側電極に接続された表側端子と、
透明フィルム基材の他方の表面上に形成された裏側電極と、
透明フィルム基材の裏側電極が形成された表面上に、裏側電極に接続され、かつ、表側端子と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子とを有し、
透明フィルム基材は、透明フィルム基材の一辺の内側に接続端子部を有し、
透明フィルム基材が、上部保護フィルムおよび下部保護フィルムの一対のフィルムで積層され、
前記一対のフィルムの両方において、
表側端子および裏側端子と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられているタッチセンサにおいて、
平面視において、切り欠き部の開口端から奥部に向かって漸次幅広な台形形状になることを特徴とするタッチセンサ。 - 透明フィルム基材と、
透明フィルム基材の一方の表面上に形成された表側電極と、
透明フィルム基材の表側電極が形成された表面上に形成され、表側電極に接続された表側端子と、
透明フィルム基材の他方の表面上に形成された裏側電極と、
透明フィルム基材の裏側電極が形成された表面上に、裏側電極に接続され、かつ、表側端子と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子とを有し、
透明フィルム基材の一辺の内側に接続端子部を有する第1積層体と、
透明フィルム基材と、
透明フィルム基材の裏側の表面上に形成された裏側電極と、
透明フィルム基材の裏側電極が形成された表面上に、裏側電極に接続され、かつ、第1積層体の接続端子部と平面視上重ならないように形成された裏側端子とを有し、
透明フィルム基材の一辺の内側に接続端子部を有する第2積層体と、
前記第1積層体および第2積層体において、
第1積層体と第2積層体の間に接着層が設けられ、
第1積層体には、第2積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられ、
第2積層体には、第1積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられ、
第1積層体と第2積層体が、上部保護フィルムおよび下部保護フィルムの一対のフィルムで積層され、
前記一対のフィルムの両方において、
第1積層体の接続端子部および第2積層体の接続端子部と対向する領域を切り欠いた切り欠き部が設けられているタッチセンサにおいて、
平面視において、第1積層体、第2積層体、上部保護フィルム、下部保護フィルムのいずれも切り欠き部の開口端から奥部に向かって漸次幅広な台形形状になることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタッチセンサ。 - 切り欠き部において、外周線と接する前記台形形状の上底の外角が30度以上60度以下であることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項2に記載のタッチセンサ。
- 一対の保護フィルムの切り欠き部の開口端における切り欠き部の内側から外側にまたぐ両端の領域に、透明フィルム基材上に補強層が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1から請求項3に記載のタッチセンサ。
